Americas Best in Daytona provides fantastic service. Ms. Odaliz fitted me for my new frames and adjusted the nose piece on my husbands glasses. We were pleased and recommend this store to anyone needing glasses.

Doctor was nice but after my exam it was late in the day so I was ignored like no one wanted to help me check out. I shrugged it off because I didn’t think it was a big deal but now looking back it should have bothered me that I waited so long. Then a different staff member who was in the back came out and was absolutely wonderful when she saw me waiting. She helped me right away. Then, there were issues with running my insurance, which I’m not blaming on them because it was likely the insurance company. I am, however, extremely displeased with the way it was handled. The staff member helping me asked for assistance from someone else (I think she was new). Long story short, that second staff member told me I’d have to pay for my exam. Telling her that didn’t make sense, she just shrugged and had an attitude. When I then asked why this wasn’t brought to my attention BEFORE my exam, shouldn’t they have checked my insurance at the front? I only came here to get glasses, now I’m out the full price of a contact lens exam and can’t get a new pair of glasses until December with my insurance (according to the paperwork they were reading). Had I known it wouldn’t be covered, I would have never come in because what’s the point in paying over $100 for an exam I can’t even use for anything? My question about them checking my insurance before my exam was met with, “yeah it should have been but I guess it wasn’t done right. I can’t do anything about it. Best I can do is tell a manager this happened.” Then a shrug and she walked away. She didn’t come back and I never did see a manager. Kudos to the staff member who was professional, nice, and empathetic. The receptionist and woman with the attitude, not so much. Awful experience.

I originally scheduled an eye and contact exam in 12/2023 - I received glasses about 30 days later- I inquired about when “trial” contacts would arrive and they said they would call me- another 30 days passed & I called to inquire about the “trial” contacts, had they arrived. - they had no idea where contacts were but would call me when they arrived. Another 30 days & I heard nothing- in March I called back & was told they had not arrived! Fast forward - end of May I finally was given a box of contacts to “try” & a follow up appointment for Monday 6/10/2024- on the day of follow up without notice or explanation why the appointment was cancelled- the appointment was canceled an hour before I was due to arrive. I called the store this morning & was given an appointment for today- @ 3:00pm - I arrived to the store & I was informed that I would have to complete another eye contact exam & pay for said exam because 6 months had passed! Only after I sternly protested and negotiated the reasons I should NOT & would NOT be paying for another eye exam- did they get the new doctor To write me a script for eye contacts- that in itself is interesting. But the most shocking part is yet to come- I looked at the script and it was different than the “trial” book of contacts I had been given at the end of May which was 2.00! Luckily I had brought the box with me! The sales person was just as confused as I was- however looking at my chart showed two different visions amounts for my glasses & a - 2.50 Recommendation for the contacts- I would laugh if it wasn’t so scary how inept this company is regarding something so important. I have been walking around with the wrong script of contacts in my eyes? So she placed an order for correct chart specific “trial” contact & I will play the waiting game again- however she did let me keep the script the new doctor in charge wrote - just to get rid of me! So I guess I should be satisfied? I do not recommend this business- my time and money are far to valuable. Please check and double check if you chose to go to this business.

After having a bad experience at a place in Port Orange, I went here the day after and had an amazing experience by wonderful staff! Their pricing is unbearable, as is the quality of their exams and care. They take into account your preferences, what you say and report, and take their time with you. Their frames are high quality but all sorts of pricing available, and take carecredit for exams AND frames.
