I found what I needed and went to a check out lane. The cashier
was too busy talking to his co-worker to acknowledge me. When
he went to give me my change he started to give it to his co- worker. He never acknowledged or thanked me. I see that management does a great job of training and monitoring their employee's. This is one big reason I have no use to Walmart.
I was shopping today and saw a customer with a dog on a leash.
The dog did have a vest on, but the customer didn't appear to be blind nor disabled. In fact the customer was carrying the dog. Cleary this is a pet and not a service animal.
Apparently managment isn't familiar with ADA policy on service animals. Here it is:
How “Service Animal” Is Defined
Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
The last line says it all " Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Here is State of Florida's policy;Florida Statute 413.08 similarly defines a service animal as an animal that is trained to perform tasks for an individual with a disability.
In places of public accommodation a service animal is defined as a dog or miniature horse.
The tasks may include, but are not limited to,
guiding a person who is visually impaired or blind,
alerting a person who is deaf or hard of hearing,
pulling a wheelchair,
assisting with mobility or balance,
alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure,
retrieving objects,
alerting an individual to the presence of allergens,
providing physical support and assistance with balance and stability to an individual with a mobility disability,
helping an individual with a psychiatric or neurological disability by preventing or interrupting impulsive or destructive behaviors,
reminding an individual with mental illness to take prescribed medications, or
calming an individual with posttraumatic stress disorder during an anxiety attack.
A service animal is not a pet.
Again the last line says it all " A service animal is not a pet. The dog should not have allowed in the store.
Shame on the management and staff for allowing this. I hope
the health department takes note of this. The store should be fined and shut down.
I was in this store June 19, 2024. A couple had a dog in a shoulder bag. The dog was barking. A store employee saw this and did nothing but walk away. This dog was clearly a household pet. The store manager should be fired for letting this happen. The health department needs to take note of this. The store needs to be fined and shut down permanently.

Been to many Walmarts from fl. to ct. & have NEVER seen someone as miserable
with such low intelligence as I have in this Walmart. It was very unusual an item rang up twice at 2 different prices just a coulpe of cents dif and instead of just removing the 2 items this AA women removes EVERYTHING making me start ringing up all over again????????? Guessing it's hard to find smart pleasant people to work evenings but in comparison to any other Walmart where I always walk out with a smile on my face this time it was a very unpleasant experience ??

Typically, too many employees walk around aimlessly. However, tonight there was only one, and it was busier than usual. Bryan managed to do the work of five seamlessly, all with a great attitude.

Hate this Walmart their employees are very lazy please get rid of those self checkouts. Because they give my mom a hard time at night and this just happened tonight. The self checkout didn't ring up our items correctly and it's completely driving myself absolutely crazy!!!!

This is the worst walmart the online pick up is horrible they never answer their phone. You are waiting long period of time and the employees think everything is a joke not worth the hassle and the produce they give you is always rotten

This store was much cleaner than the Walmart Super off Linton and Military. Their produce was fresh and bright. They still have do it yourself check out lanes. I don’t like them. That is why I don’t go there very often.

During my most recent shopping trip to Walmart, I encountered several distressing issues that severely impacted my experience and raised concerns about the store's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Notably, a considerable amount of the meat available on the shelves was expired by one to two days. This lapse in freshness standards is not only disappointing for shoppers expecting high-quality groceries but also poses potential health risks.
Furthermore, the quality of the produce section was far below expectations. Fruits and vegetables, which should be fresh and vibrant, appeared neglected, with many items looking wilted and unappetizing. This lack of attention to the freshness and quality of produce significantly diminishes the appeal of shopping for groceries at Walmart.
Equally troubling was the general disarray observed throughout the store. Products were scattered on the floor of the shopping aisles, creating a messy and uninviting environment. This level of disorder suggests a lapse in basic store management and maintenance, which is essential for providing a pleasant shopping experience.

Great convenient location. Staff is always friendly.
Upper mgmt needs to reconfigure customer service desk. Cashier has to go back & forth for lottery. Makes no sense why another cash drawer isn't right there for her.
