The “supervisor” Kat was extremely rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. We will NEVER stay in another Holiday Inn on account of such pitiable service. When I complained and asked to speak to the supervisor, she first said that she was unable to get a hold of them. When I asked again, she said “I am the supervisor.” After not having our issue addressed, we left the hotel and asked that she refund our hotel reservation fee, at which point she told us she wasn’t sure if it would be refunded. I asked her how she could be unsure of this when she was the supervisor??! My husband and I are beyond disgusted. Those serving the front desk should be courteous and knowledgeable, not incompetent and unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The hotel was fine, room was clean. Location isn’t the best and the side lot is messy. I stayed here for a bike race near by and the owners policy was zero bikes in the hotel, which would be fine if it was advertised. Having to find a safe location for expensive sporting equipment last minute is less than ideal. I have never run into issues like this with Hilton, a policy change should be considered.

We have stayed at this hotel about once a month for the past 2 years. Two of the front desk staff members are always so rude! There is one very friendly girl who always goes above and beyond, but I cringe when she's not on duty and have to ask for something from one of the others. We've never had any issues in the past with the physical accommodations until today when we checked in and the beds were damp and the room smelled like mold. I immediately let them know. The girl at the front said they would come spray air freshener but would not switch our room, no apology, no other options, no explanation. So I cancelled my upcoming additional reservations and won't be back. Thanks for making my hotel decisions easier for me moving forward Holiday Inn Express Bartow.

While trying to make reservations the front desk clerk was unable to help in any way stating she didn’t know how to reserve a two rooms together. She said her manager would need to do that but the manager wasn’t on priority. I made reservations at the Hampton across the street with out any problems.

One of the Best hotel experiences I have had. The staff were friendly and just overall amazing. The air-conditioning worked great. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Not 1 complaint from me.Rooms: Very clean and no weird smell that soundsSome hotels have. Nice pillows and comfortable beds although they are a bit high.Nearby activities: Adorable little down town very close, plus the big stores like Walmart and publicWalkability: Checkers is in the same parking lot anything else is a quick drive.

I am a firm believer that Customer Service is key to anything that is needed in life. I must say that staying at this HIE has restored my faith in humanity. I had been flying for almost 2 days and had been sleep deprived and hadn’t had a shower since I left my home the afternoon before.I had to be in court that afternoon and just needed a couple of hours to “recoup & regroup”. Upon arrival that morning, I explained my situation and Katrina was extremely helpful in making sure that I was able to just that, might I add, even offering me breakfast. Not only was I able to shower and eat, I still had time to reflect and relax. As I was checking out I was able to meet the GM Scott and was eager to talk to him about my experience with Katrina and his staff.Rooms: The room was very nice and quiet and spacious.

The national reservation service put a wrongful one night charge on my credit card and would not remove it despite several phone calls totalling over 2 hours. The staff at the hotel apologized, said never use the national service in the future, and got the charge removed after I made an in person trip to the hotel.The hotel staff was terrific and solved my problem with the national reservation service.

Sketchy ...hidden charges ...wich they can't explain . Everyone in our service group and sister company's...have now black balled this location, and from the reviews I'm reading they do this quite often..I know it's not much but at least there will be 30 field engineers never staying here again.....this is in response...you couldn't what was wrong with them ... you have other reviews. Have never been boinked by ihg in 15 yrs of dealing with them . You can sugar coat it how you want ...but eventually enough people won't stay at your location ..good day to you.

The entire experience here was great. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hot breakfast was really good, bacon was crispy and the sausage was cooked just right. The cheese omelette was perfect and the cinnamon rolls were amazing. I also drink coffee all the time and so it was nice there was coffee brewing all day and all night. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed there from April 4th until April 6th. because we were in town on a business trip. We checked out at around 5:45 AM on April 6th. When I got home in New York I received a text from my credit card company saying the hotel charged me an extra $11. I called them up to ask what the $11 was for, the front desk guy told me it was for a damaged towel and a missing towel. I paid 423 dollars for 2 nights stay and you think I can't afford to buy a freaking towel. This the first time a hotel charges its guess for a dirty towel. Do no stay at this hotel. Breakfast was lousy and then they look for excuses to steal your money

Breakfast was amazing and the highlight of my stay! Try to get a room facing away from the main road/parking lot. It seems all the sounds pierced through the a/c unit window area. A few mornings at around 5AM something loud went off either outside or in the building like fire alarm tripping and trailer ramp gates that slammed so hard on the ground it seemed like gun shots from a dead sleep. Other than that the rooms were very nice and clean and the employees were friendly and very helpful. I like that this hotel was within walking distance to plenty food options.

Stayed here for about 3 weeks. The front desk, kitchen and cleaning staff members were all so amazing and friendly. The hotel kept us informed and secure as Hurricane Nicole came through. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy. Yes, there is a bit of road noise in the evening for a short period, but not really the hotel's issue. The hotel is conveniently located and easy to find. Road noise always calmed down at a decent hour and the hotel was almost always quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again! Loved this place and so appreciative of the friendly staff.

The air is not working in our room. It is extremely humid and uncomfortable. I called the desk and they said nobody can come look at it until tomorrow morning. I asked if we could switch rooms and first I was told no. Then I was told that we could downgrade to a smaller room that also only has a standup shower (we booked a suite over a month ago) but that I would not be reimbursed for the difference because "as of tonight the other room would book for more than what you paid since you paid an advanced rate." I asked to speak to a manager and was told nobody would be available until Monday. Another smaller issue is that the only plug in the bathroom doesn't work, so I can't get ready in the bathroom. Even if you consider the air and the outlet a fluke, the whole place is just sort of unclean. The floors are kind of grungy and the tub is stained. I'm surprised at the good reviews based on what I have experienced here. Horrible customer service experience.

Ok, it is a very nice HI Express location. The room was wonderful and everything was in order. The desk staff and the breakfast team were very nice and we enjoyed our stay, there were 2 minor issues. First, they 'upgraded' us to a King Suite because we are IHG members. Well, if they would have told us the upgraded room was in the middle of a block of rooms for a wedding we would have declined. The wedding group came in after the wedding Friday night and brought the party with them until pretty late. I didn't complain because they were enjoying a happy occasion in this difficult time but they gave their neighbors no consideration at all. The other issue was there was no housekeeping done in the room while we were there. After a couple nights I asked the staff to do towels and trash only in our room that day and I felt like I was putting them out seriously. I understand the staff is short handed but if a hotel is not going to provide daily services, they should give the customer at least a small break. Anyway, it is a very nice hotel and looks very well maintained.
