Used to love going into float-ors until now. I heard the old owner died and that makes sense because who ever took over is rude, unwelcoming, and short with you. My 3 year old had to use the bathroom and the man told me to go to a gas station in a rude manner. So we took him outside and he peed there. Knowing darn well they have a bathroom they could of just let him use real quick! Everything is over priced now, and I mean everything!! You used to be able to go in there and find nice decently priced stuff not anymore! I won't be back!

Went here one day while on s drive. I'm so glad we stopped they have so many different things. Adorable and different items. If you love the beach, then these stores are for you. The prices were reasonable and there was plenty of parking. The staff is so friendly and very helpful. If you are in the area and looking for something to do, definitely pop in. I'm sure you will find a treasure to take home. Can't wait to go back.

Terrible service. Used to be nice many years ago however the owner (I assume) does not seem to care about his customers anymore. Very rude.

We traveled far Specifically for this store. Had to urgently use restroom when we arrived. Owner shrugged his shoulders and said we don't have public restrooms "Go to nearest gas station". (and the Porta John that was here last year in the parking lot was gone as well.)
Seemed as if the owner has encountered this issue many times before as he had a nasty attitude with us. I did not feel welcome. He seemed irritated that i even asked.
Over the years he has always been unfriendly but he has gone above and beyond that now.
It's all about his attitude.

We really enjoyed shopping at Floaters and purchased a few items. However, I had to use the restroom and read that they have none. Im an 81 year old male and have a problem with my prostate. When i talked to the employee he could have cared less about my problem. According to Delaware law any business should have a restroom. He could have let me use the employees restroom. In reading other reviews I am not alone about this issue. Hopefully they can rectify this situation.

Haven’t been to Floaters since 2020 so I was excited to bring my friends to do some shopping. When I approached the front door the sign read, “no public restroom in either building and don’t even ask us.” Another sign basically stated there was a dress code with 4-5 items listed. We encountered a man when entering the front door and he was not very friendly. There was a lot of merchandise just like I remembered. I was looking for something in particular that wasn’t in the big building so we went to the small building and encountered 2 workers that didn’t know what merchandise was in the building. We couldn’t stay long because there was no restroom. I will never shop there again due to the rude signs, no restroom, and unfriendly employees! Sue A.

Yesterday, I was so disappointed to learn that this business, which I have visited for several years, no longer provides access to a bathroom for customers.

Sure the gifts are nice but a million dollar business like this that does not provide a rest room for customers is unsatisfactory. Therefore, one can assume that Float-ors is more concerned about making a buck than providing comfort for their customers. After spending several hundred dollars here, we asked to use the rest room prior to our long drive home. It was shocking that a gift facility of this size and magnitude did not provide a basic necessity for their customers. Shame on you Float-Ors management.

Have always loved the shop. But I’ve noticed quite the change in recent years, especially after the passing of the owner. Always loved the real Irish vibe, but alas not any more. Change is sad.
