My friend convinced me to attend a class here when they were still in Newark, and I've come even more often now that they've moved to Hockessin. The studio is bright and spacious, with a variety of acro apparata.I would say that most of this studio's classes are more focused on beginners than experienced circus aerialists. The beginner classes are a good start for people who are kind of easing back into fitness after a break or who want to start something that doesn't involve bouncing or jumping. Most of the classes focus on sling or hammock low to the ground, though they do offer silks and lyra. They also offer bungee classes, which are fun and an intense cardio workout (though it takes a few sessions for the harnesses to stop pinching.)If someone I knew wanted to try aerial acrobatics but was concerned that her strength and fitness wasn't good enough yet, I'd feel pretty confident recommending this place as a place to build that strength.

This studio recently moved from Newark to Hockessin with a much larger space and high ceilings. They are poised to offer more apparata in the future, but right now the main focus is slings, hammock and bungee, with a few silks and lyra classes. The space is clean and bright and Zina is very welcoming, as are most of the teachers. I would say that compared to the other circus studios I've practiced at, this is geared more towards beginners. If you're used to climbing 12' in the air and doing drops, these classes may seem a little easy, but if you're just getting into fitness or if you have mobility issues, Zina can help you find a class that suits your needs. I especially recommend the bungee classes. They are super fun and an intense cardio workout. It takes a few classes for the harness to feel less pinchy, so stick with it.

I went to the stretching class a few months ago and had an amazing time. I was nervous going by myself but when I walked in the owner- very friendly, greeted me and wished me well with my first class. The instructor.. I don’t recall her name but she was great. Took the time to help me get into the positions we were doing and was super knowledgeable about what exactly we were stretching and the benefits. Being in the hammock was such a cool and relaxing experience. Would most certainly go back.

To any potential first timer... You are safe! The owner sets a tone of inclusion. She's firm but without any feeling of toughness or displeasure. Her happy outgoing attitude is infectious. You'll find no matter your age, weight or physical make-up, EVERYONE from staff and ESPECIALLY other students that you are welcome and supported.FYI, Acro has cliques. Many in the community are snobbish. Aerial Fun is free of that behavior. There's a sense of respect here that is not present at other businesses in the area.

I really love this place! The instructors are really professional and nice! I haven't tried all of the classes but I can tell that the fitness and fun experience is above other exercises I've tried before. The place is clean and the environment makes you truly relax and enjoy class! Before I forget, it is also awesome for couples. My husband and I have been to a couple of aerial yoga classes together at Aerial Fun and Fitness. I love it!

This studio is small but very focused. They only do acroyoga and it shows. I went with a friend to a beginner's class and the instructor (and owner) was warm, welcoming and knowledgable. She made two newbies feel totally at home. I highly recommend you check out one of her classes.
