The fact that they do not honor the prices on the shelves is enough for me to never return. Also when an employee blames customers for moving an entire product to a shelf it speaks volumes as to the quality of people they hire. Whoever manages this store should be fired and replaced. Nothing is priced consistent
$15 for 6 rolls of paper towels is wild.
This is not a discount store for sure.
A lot of their product is way more than other stores
Dover doesn't need Big Lots at all.
Also who wants to stand in line for over an hour while employess walk around the store.

There is no reason in h*ll the line should be wrapped around the store and it take 30 minutes to checkout. Hire people and put more people at the register. Insane.

My wife went to the Big Lots in Dover, Delaware to return some product that was damaged. She even told them that they did not need to get a refund, they could just swap out for the same items, and they refused. She was told first that they "didn't want to take the financial hit of a return" because she bought it at a different store, and that each store is independently owned. She was then told they could not accept it because it was food. Then, she was told they could not refund her because it was from another state and they had no way to refund the taxes from another state because Delaware is a tax-free state. These reasons were all given by two separate MANAGERS, JEN and JEFF. They lied to her face. The return policy states that you can return an item as long as you have the receipt and the package is returned in its original condition. In fact, she was able to take this product to another store the next day, and the store manager Dwight at the Big Lots in New Castle refunded her money and the taxes. She was also informed by several managers at other stores that the return should not have been an issue. Please avoid this store at any cost if you need to return something, as these two MANAGERS just do not want to deal with the headache. Horrible customer service. They would rather lose the sales for the items she was prepared to buy instead of giving her a $20 refund. Shame!
