Everyone was great when I took my dogs in to get their vaccinations. I especially want to spotlight Max, who checked us in. Max was professional, kind, calm, and courteous. They were extremely attentive and in tune with my dogs. I appreciate the kindness and care Max took with me and my dogs. Thanks, Max!!

Staff was very polite and informative.They were very precautious while administering the vaccination to our new puppy. They did a great job while providing a wonderful atmosphere. We love this Vetco location. ? ?

DO NOT GO HERE !! my husband bough fish from them and they all died within days of each other. they all got sick and died. Even the fish we had for 2 months before we got these fish. DO NOT GO TO THIS PET STORE FOR ANYTHING!!! waste of money and time !!

NOT GOOD DO NOT GO AT ALL!!! it took them hours they cut my dog neck , didn't even tell me I went home and had to find out my self and then they had the nerve to say my dog was acting out and he was bad... and that don't even sound like my dog my dog Is a sweet Heart but their abusing dogs I seen it

Petco in Newark has walkins for nails clipping now went in today called first they told me come in got there and someone came in for a full grooming so my dog was you gotta sit and wait. That's not how it works it takes all of 5 minutes to trim dog nails. Want be going back! I normally go to the new castle farmers market groomer but they were closed going right back to them next week people.

The groomer estimated my dogs full groom to be only three hours. After four hours, my dog was still not groomed and had sat in a cage That entire time. I received no updates or calls. My dog is absolutely traumatized and is still shaking. I was still expected to pay for a bath (which I could've done at home). We will NEVER go back here.

Please do not ever take your dogs to this location for grooming. I took my French bulldog for a full service with extra nail service (which they pushed and said he needed).....couple days later he has infections on all four of his paws because they cut his nail too short. I would never pay for a service to hurt my frenchie and I recommend anyone to read this review before they sent their dog to this location for grooming or any service. Please do not send your dog to this location.

I am not one to write reviews. However, after the experience I had at PetCo, I felt it was necessary. While strolling through the store picking out some different things, I stumbled upon the cat treats and saw that there was a special on the temptations brand treats. The bags of these specific flavored treats were priced at .40 cents. I grabbed 10 bags figuring I would be paying $4. Since I purchased a large amount of items, it didn't surprise me that the bill was a bit high. However, when looking at the price of the treats on the receipt I saw I paid $2 a bag! Typically I would just ignore this but I bought 10 bags. I went back into the store and explained the issue to the Cashier, Brendan, who was a delight (5 stars for him!). He happily called over his manager, Pete, and this is when the issue began. I took a picture of the price tag listed at .40 cents and explained the issue to him as well. Instead of apologizing, he made me feel as though I was WRONG. I explained that the brand matched the price in the aisle, and he then directed the cashier to give me only THREE bags for .40 cents each, and to pay full price for the rest. He proceeds to walk away, check the price tag, and come back MUMBLING under his breath saying my friends and I must've made a mistake/it was discontinued. No apology, nothing. Sure, I know places can make mistakes with pricing. However, there was no APOLOGY and I took the liberty of matching the numbers on the price label with the numbers on the receipt and they were IDENTICAL. I am truly disappointed with my experience at PetCo and would like something to be done about this. Even the cashier acknowledged that a mistake had been made on their part and the manager just chose to walk away.

The service in the fish department was awful. The ladies were very short and nonhelpful and had an unneeded attitude. When I went to pay for my fish, they ended up in another persons bag (mistakes happen, understandable) but then they said they had no more of the fish I was purchasing, but there were still some in the tanks. I went to go back to get different fish and the lady had rude body language and eye rolls. I asked to speak to the store manager as I was not happy with the service I was provided, and my response was "okay have a good day." I was happy with this visit at all and will not be returning.

We took advantage of the clinic hours to get our dog “chippedâ€. Make sure you arrive a half our early because the service was being heavily utilized. It's a great alternative to a traditional Veterinarian office visit, because you're still getting your pet treated by a Veterinarian, but at a reasonable price. Thank you Petco!
