Great place to stay, will more than likely stay here again when going back to DC. It’s in a great spot for restaurants and so close to the metro. Something to be aware of that is common in the city is they have valet parking at a price, and while there are parking garages/lots around as well, it still was between the $30-40 range over night. For me this was not a dealbreaker as I had anticipated this beforehand. When it comes to breakfast they have a restaurant downstairs or you can get room service to the room. We got the room service, which was a little bit on the pricey end, but only had a $5 delivery charge to have it sent to the room.
Nearby activities: Lots of things to do nearby as far as restaurants and local attractions.
Walkability: Very walkable to the surroundings and easy quick access to the metro station.

Walkability: Very walkable neighborhood with plenty to do nearby including bars, restaurants, walking trail along the water, National’s stadium and more.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for a conference. The location and the service is great. The rooms are clean and very nice and the staff are very nice. I had my car and used valet parking. Javon was very helpful and parked and brought my car a couple of times when I needed it. I greatly appreciate his service. I will definitely go back to this hotel and will recommend my friends and family.

The hotel is absolutely a CAT 5 property, underpriced at CAT 3.

If I ask to change the check out time, the front desk should not just tell me I can stay in the room. Several cleaning staff came by to ask why I was still there if I checked out

Went to an event last week that was horrible we order food that took an hour .. they had a server that was doing a great job finding tables with no numbers ., my food was cold and bar service was horrible

I recently stayed at the Thompson DC and had a fantastic experience. The property is well-run, and everyone was super friendly. I checked in on Sunday, and as a Globalist, I was recognized and upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. The valet service on both Sunday and Monday was friendly and efficient, making our arrival and departure seamless.
Breakfast was delicious, and I was glad to see a full menu available. The hotel's location is perfect, with walking distance to great restaurants. If you're a pizza lover, I highly recommend Emmy Squared. It's a bit pricey but absolutely delicious.
Overall, a great stay with excellent service and amenities. I would definitely return!
Walkability: Many restaurants within a block or two.
Food & drinks: Great breakfast.

Hip and mid century modern decor, situated in a pretty good location in the navy yard district. We had no problem finding parking nearby and plenty of things to do in the area. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and service was great. They cleaned our room even though we came back at odd hours to take a nap, which was hugely appreciated. I would definitely recommend.
