I have had a terrible experience with Spartan HVAC, specifically with their scheduling team. The entire process has been a nightmare from the start. I had a new system installed in May, and it is now July, and the issues have not stopped. Firstly, I missed several days of work due to the installers not arriving on time. The scheduling team was disorganized, causing significant inconvenience and frustration. Despite my attempts to coordinate and confirm appointments, the installers repeatedly showed up late or not at all, leading to unnecessary lost time from work. Secondly, since the installation, the system has been a constant headache. It stops working at least once a week, requiring numerous service calls. Each call means more time off work and more frustration. The frequent breakdowns and the unreliability of the system are unacceptable. Given my experience, I strongly advise you to look for other options. The scheduling issues, combined with the poor quality of the installation, make Spartan HVAC a company to avoid. Save yourself the time, money, and stress by choosing a more reliable HVAC service provider.

Scheduled someone to come by yesterday between 11-2. Get a call at 1.30 saying they'd be there in half an hour. Nobody showed up or called. Do not recommend.

Spartan Plumbing, and their team of Matthew and Keith, were exceptional. Our heat went out overnight when it was 12 degrees. I called first thing in the morning and they showed up promptly at 830, temporarily fixed the issue by 930, and had a full replacement part installed by 1030. They were prompt, thorough, and had an innovative solution to our problem that also meant cost savings for us. We’re grateful for the work they did and will continue to work with Spartan.

Very prompt response to service request. Nice tech provided a nearly $1000 estimate to repair dripping tub spout with warning cost could go much higher. Another plumber made the repairs at fraction of cost. I wanted to support women-run business but suggest getting a second opinion before agreeing to repair.

Great service! I had Matthew come out for the first time today and he was wonderful. Very professional, so helpful, he showed us our system and how to take care of it, and he was very friendly and nice to talk to. I've used other HVAC servicers in the past but this has been by far my favorite in the area.Service: HVAC system maintenance

I urge you PLEASE don't be fooled by what I perceive as a surprising and questionable rating by the Better Business Bureau. (In fact, to date, Spartan hasn't even replied to a complaint I made through them - cowardly!) Read this first. I hired Spartan to fix a sewage line. Their team quoted $18,000 which I paid. Then - half way through the job - their same team (dressed in Spartan uniform and hats; driving a Spartan van) told me it would be an additional $12,000!!!! Since the line was dug in the ground I had no choice but to pay them. Turns out it was a scam - by Spartan's own admission - their representative scammed me claiming to be on behalf of Spartan. Spartan asked for evidence, which I provided. Then Spartan denied any acknowledgement of the payment or the fact that their own representative had taken the money! And get this! They separated / parted ways with their employee who came to my house, only partially fixed the line before scamming me for an extra $12,000. They separated from him, but they refused to make it right for me. Refused! In fact, they got a lawyer hired to refuse to even talk to me about the situation. So now I'm $12,000 out, have a shoddy job performed, AND Spartan hired a lawyer which intimidated me through silence. Thanks to them I no longer feel safe in my own house because of their employee who may retaliate.

All I can say is: do NOT hire these goofballs. Terrible service, terrible repair, they work 4 hour days, including breaks & lunch, they do not clean up, they didn't fix one issue which they said they'd fixed; they other issues they said they fixed I can't tell yet. Now, they're trying to charge me more than their already ridiculous fee "because you changed your mind." Of course I changed my mind: seeing them not work scared me. Don't ever get tangled up with them. Did I mention the bossman called me yesterday and shouted and shouted at me on the phone? Keep a safe distance.

My elderly mother who is very ill and not ambulatory due to chronic health issues had problems with her AC unit since Sunday. I have contacted a previous company that she used in the past who shall be nameless was overbooked until end of next week which surprised me. She could not afford to wait until next week because of her health issues. Bonnie and Joaquin were very professional and friendly. They diagnosed and fixed the problem right after the 4th of July holiday. Within an hour or two after the service was completed, our home is very comfortable again . We can both get a good night's sleep and I am able to work in my home office in comfort. Well the competitor that we use to call in a past for repairs has lost a loyal customer. Thank you Spartan Plumbing.

I scheduled an appointment online, someone call within the hour to confirm the work that i requested and the appointment. The following day the tech called 15 min before the scheduled time, and he arrived on time. He explained his diagnosis of the problem and the remedy. He was very professional. I should have been suspicious when they wouldn't give pricing over the phone but I had nobody else ready to snake a clogged kitchen drain that was also affecting a bathroom one. Their scam is a $99 visit fee which is only waived if you go over $500 so they priced it at $495. Later I learned that $250 or less would be more appropriate. Bottom line, almost $600 for what I now know on average is less than $200. Avoid and find someone more honest. Their Senior Citizen Discount is also a joke.Service: Drain cleaning

Needed a new hot water tank. Called for appointment and was greeted by a most cheerful lady. To my sweet surprise she told me someone could come by the next day and that I would receive a call to tell me when they would arrive. The next day a very pleasant and knowledgeable young man (Anil Das) arrived. He explained all my options and the next day arrived as promised. I have used Spartan many times before - both for large and small jobs: It is always the same: no hidden anything, all explained upfront, all jobs done professionally and with proper speed. I am so thankful the owners have weathered this horrid pandemic and they have not lowered their standards. Consider me a completely satisfied Spartan customer in every respect... After living in my 4 story townhouse for fourteen years, I needed to replace 1 of the air conditioning systems on the roof. The team that arrived came on time, And not only were they diligent, but they took the time to respect the cleanliness of my home as well. I was extremely pleased with the initial communication, scheduling, and corporate team that I worked with to set up a service call for my toilet. They contacted me within the hour and got out to my tenants the day of my request. I CAN recommend them for the quick service if you need it.However, when it came time to diagnose the problem at my property, I was extremely displeased with the pricing for the work. They noted that I needed a fill valve and a toilet handle that needed to be replaced. Working in the property management world, I had an idea of the cost of the material and a general idea of the labor cost associated with this fix.The fill valves MSRP for around $8-$15 and the handle is roughly the same price as well. This does not include labor and markup.I was quoted $780 + the $99 dispatch for this fix. I simply could not in good conscious accept that price for the scope of work. I have since contacted another plumber who performed the work for about 20% of this price. I understand a world of inflation and cost increases for both material and labor, but I felt that this was a disingenuous pricing for the work needed.With this being said, I'd still look at giving Spartan a bid, but understand what you are getting before pulling the trigger.
