This was an amazing experience! Please make sure to give yourself a minimum of 4hrs at the museum. There is a theatre that shows movies that are each, about 30min long.
I unfortunately didn't give myself enough time so it felt like my money was wasted. Don't let that be you! Lol

Recently a good friend who lives in Norfolk asked me to host and lead a tour of the Bible Museum for a group of pastors. They arrived by train, a very important resource, which allowed them to make the most of their limited time. We toured most of the major exhibits, especially the Old Testament and the New Testament floors. At the end of our visit, the Manna Cafe provided a good meal and large enough table space for a group discussion. Overall this was a very good experience.

My husband and I went to this museum for the first time on a Wednesday and got there when it first opened. It was FABULOUS! Although the museum did get busy by early afternoon, we were able to take the Virtual Reality tour of Israel on the first floor and walk through the stories of the Bible on the third floor without a huge crowd. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the museum is engaging, interesting and beautiful. Highly recommend!!

The old testament tour on floor 3 is a must-see. It covers from Genesis to Ezra. A lot of vivid illustrations and sounds.

I enjoyed my visit to the Museum of the Bible! I took my preteen niece and she took a lot of pictures. There was a lot of walking but there was a lot to see and learn.
Our favorite aspect of the visit was the multi-sensory Washington Revelations tour/attraction.

If you want to see archaeology, have a theatric experience of the Bible and have a deeper understanding of how it shaped America and the church, this is a great place to do it. They have live demonstrations of the printing press, offer classes on the art of illumination, and even have an indoor playground that is Bible themed. It is spacious, so you are able to avoid feeling rushed and it has a great blend of interactive exhibits and highly educational material. Groupon often offers 25% off on tickets and they honor military and first responder discounts. It is well worth the price and I guarantee you will come away with something, even if museums aren’t your typical jam. We packed a lunch and ate in their cafeteria without any issues. Staff is responsive and considerate, place is impeccably clean and we really enjoyed the Nazareth and Old Testament Theatric experience. Plan to spend a minimum of 4 hours there.

A Must-Visit: Immersive and Educational Experience at the Museum of the Bible
I had an incredible experience at the Museum of the Bible. We planned to spend a full day (8 hours) to thoroughly explore at least 2-3 floors, and it was worth every minute. The experiential floors with movies and period re-enactors were immersive and informative. The highlight for me was the floor dedicated to the history and evolution of the Bible—absolutely fascinating and highly educational. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to finish this floor, so we’ll definitely be back.
The staff were exceptionally understanding and accommodating. On our first visit, we only had a few hours, but they allowed us to re-enter without repaying on another day due to our limited initial viewing hours. This flexibility and consideration made the experience even better. The entrance fee is well worth it for the wealth of knowledge and unique experiences offered. Highly recommended!

One of my favorite places to visit in DC. There is a nice variety that young and old can enjoy. What I like is there is something else to see: a new exhibit, a theatrical production, a concert.
There is this point of "saturation" because there is so much to see. My advice is to enjoy while you're there; but when you hit saturation, step away even if you haven't seen every floor. I have found that the experience is enriched by returning.
I recommend the yearly membership. It is cost effective and typically pays for itself within 2 visits.

100% so far. We visited as a family last year and have already booked our ticket to return this year to watch Pilgrims Progress live. If you are considering visiting MOTB it would benefit you to know that this is not a regular museum. It’s an interactive experience that keeps on giving. Experts are right, you will need at least a full week to experience all the floors! Get the family pass and save big time!!

Great museum lots to see! Plan to spend most of the day to see the many, many exhibits including virtual holy land tour, DC flight tour, and several other exhibits worth experiencing. My fav exhibit was Hope Amidst Despair- The Prophets by J. Barosin. Grab a burger and fries or drink and snack for lunch on 6th floor and dine in the rooftop garden. Staff is friendly and helpful. I liked the gift shop with good deals and cool merch like hats, bracelets, and stationary.

Informative and a lot. Perhaps if we hadn’t seen anything else we would have been delighted. And so - good, but not wow. The good thing is that the metro is nearby, the building is new, modern equipment with the latest technology. Good air conditioning and auxiliary features such as drinking fountains, benches for relaxation, etc. A bunch of Bibles of all nations and translations. A little bit from excavations and stones from Israel, some shards. Cool interactives - but seen no worse in other places. Overall a pleasant experience

The Museum of the Bible is extraordinarily well built and designed. There are so many interesting and rare things to see that you could take a day or two to tour. If you only have 2-3 hours, hit the highlights. Ask the representative what those are. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend it!
