Attended a wedding here and had such a blast. The building is beautiful and a great canvas for party decorations.Lots of different spaces available to use. The second floor ceremony room is beautifully intimate and wonderfully lit.

We had our wedding here in April 2023. It’s a beautiful, early twentieth century mansion overlooking Meridian Hill / Malcolm X Park. The history of the building as the headquarters of Washington Parks and People adds extra meaning to the venue. We rented the Terrace and initially the South Gallery for our small wedding of 20-25 guests. We had a wonderful time. Our event contact at JBPC, Ashleigh, was very flexible and even found us some extra space in the Ballroom when it looked like it might rain (thankfully, it did not). JPBC’s onsite coordinator, Katrina, took care of all the details the day of the event. In retrospect, we would have hired our own day-of coordinator (as is expected by the venue) - it was a very small wedding but there were still a lot of details that came up on the big day!

Lovely venue for Tuesday night swing dancing! Note that it does get very hot in the summer; it’s an older building without very strong ventilation
