I cannot for the life of me believe they still have Kia working there after the endless compliants from customers including myself regarding how rude, unprofessional, disrespectful she is over the phones as well as in person. WOW

Tad or current manager of this Hertz location: you URGENTLY need to provide training to your employee Kia. She puts calling customers on hold and keeps the line blocked for other callers, turns it off before the end of the work day.

Although the agent was nice, she seemed to be the only one working. She had to check everyone in AND go get their car, and I wonder if she had to go to the gas station each time because it took so long. It took over an hour to get a car. Also, after getting in the car I saw a PlatePass sticker so asked the agent if it was active, meaning we wouldn't have to pay tolls. She said she had no idea what I was talking about. We paid our tolls, then later was charged by Hertz for the tolls plus a convenience fee.

This was the worst customer experience I’ve ever encountered. I would not recommend this office.

Great customer service. Low wait time!

Literally horrible. We waited over an hour because our booking was under a debit card rather than credit. They wanted us to pay more for a smaller car so that my 80 year old grandmother could drive and we would need to add a secondary driver for yet another $20 increase. HORRIBLE customer service. Wouldn't answer the phone, or even offer to help find a solution for the issue at hand.

When we went to pick up the car the people working were really nice and helpfull. We got a bigger car then we actually made reservations for. After returning the car they booked us a Uber to the busstation. I can not thank Hertz enough for their excellent service and help during our rental time! I saw a lot of bad reviews but I dont understand them at all.We made reservartions through a third party website. Turned out that the rental cost of a baby seat where much higher then explained on the third party website. Hertz did not make a big deal out of it and canceled the baby seat. We had a excellent time roadtripping the US because of this Hertz location! Big thumbs up guys!!!!

The staff at this Hertz location are the best in the business. I was devastated after my car was totaled and was going through a great deal of stress with my insurance company. The employees at this Hertz went ABOVE AND BEYOND to secure a rental for me and help me navigate through such a difficult time in my life and for that I am forever grateful. If you're looking for the best of the best, rent your vehicle here.

My husband & I travel quite a bit & typically rent a vehicle. Hertz in Washington DC has by far the absolute worst customer service ! My husband left a backpack there, and we have been trying to reach someone to ck on it. Our daughter that lives in DC went into the office as soon as we realized it was left, only to get NO help whatsoever!! I would give NO stars if the option were a available! BEWARE of this place !!!!!!

Do not rent from this hertz!!! Kia at this location had the nastiest attitude and no one was in the office when I arrived. I called to notify them I was there she got an attitude and hung up in my face. I got a beat up rental car with a dent in the front as a GOLD member I was very disappointed!

DO NOT RENT from this Hertz. I should have read the reviews first as this Hertz located at 707 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001 was like speaking to a 3-year old trying to get my request communicated. "Troy" basically told me he wasn't at the office right now (in the afternoon) and couldn't take my reservation. However, I could go make the reservation myself online and then I could call him back to schedule a pick up. Wait, so you just keep eating bon bons while I do all the leg work. Hmmm, let me check out Enterprise and see if the service is better.

Don’t rent from this place. Rude very rude. Had me on hold twice for 10min. She didn’t want to hear the fact that Hertz said they would drop off the car to me today. When I tried to ask another question, she put me on hold again for 5min. Now she was being disrespectful. Go to the hertz in silver spring, md.

Giving this one star because I can't give zero. I picked up my car last week from this location for work travel. After issues with my vehicle, I had to switch it out at the Newark airport before heading back to DC to return the car. The Newark representative noted I could drop it off any time Saturday AM before 10:30 and incur no additional fees, and because of the issues with the car she said she made a note in my account indicating the update, since it was unlikely I'd make it back before the location closed, due to having to go to Newark to switch the car.I arrived to this location on Saturday, a bit before 9 and waited for them to open. When the Hertz rep arrived outside to unlock the doors, she said that anyone who was dropping off a car could give her keys and she'd send an email receipt in "about 20-30 minutes". Again, this was at 9am sharp when the location was just opening. I received an emailed receipt at 12:02pm. It indicated the car was checked in at 11:39. This caused an extra day of charges to be incurred. I immediately called the Hertz location and they had already closed the office.I called billing. Closed.I called the location on Monday. They claimed after 30 minutes of entering receipts they can't make changes. told me to call billing.Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday- I waited on hold for varying amounts of times totaling over 6 hours, when I could, between work meetings.Wednesday- I get someone finally who tells me they can't verify my "story" and I'd need to call the location. They indicated I returned the car too late and couldn't receive a refund. Remember: I was there BEFORE they opened on Saturday and returned it 1.5 hours before I was told I needed to. I then talked to a supervisor. I was told an 'investigation' would be done in 5-7 days and someone would contact me to let me know "if" I'd be refunded the extra fees. The location's service rep was dismissive and rude. Billing claimed I was lying. Believe your customers, because I'm absolutely not lying. THere's likely video footage of me standing outside the Hertz door for at least 15 minutes before 9am and me handing the keys over to the rep as she arrived at 9am. This is the kind of thing that causes Hertz to lose a customer who, before COVID, was making 15-20 corporate bookings per year with Hertz.

Do NOT under any circumstances rent from here. Last time I came they had one employee that was both checking people in and running to get the cars. It was over an hour wait as they could only help one person every 20 minutes or so. A nightmare experience.

I came to rent a car and was asked to wait in a closed space. The customer service representative wasn't wearing a mask because she has asthma. She was kind, helpful, and courteous, and I wish they could find her work that does not put her in this position. I do not respect a company that has so little respect for the health of their employees, their customers, and the general public that they would force people to engage in the one activity that is the principal driver of the coronavirus: breathing for long periods of time indoors without a mask. Enterprise on Georgia Avenue NW has outdoor service and other locations should do the same.
