The best place for car rentals. Every time I needed them, they were efficient, effective and friendly. This is my go to because they help me and there are no barriers.

Impossible to find - it's hidden in the Glover Park Hotel. It's tiny and extremely understaffed. The car they gave me smelled awful like wet dog and the hood was popped when I got it so it kept dinging while I was driving and I didn't know what was wrong. They refused to drive me to my repair shop when my car was fixed and refused to compensate me for my Uber to the repair shop even though a previous enterprise I went to nearby did drive me to the repair shop and compensated me for my Uber when they couldn't drive me there. Their system was not properly synched with the repair shop or with my insurance because it said my car was a total loss and cancelled my rental. They called me when I was with my family on Thanksgiving and out of town to let me know that my rental was cancelled. When I went to return the car they had multiple enterprise signs directing customers to the garage under the hotel for rental car return. When I called to ask them to let me into the garage they refused saying that they were not allowed to let customers into the garage. They asked me to back up from the garage in a super narrow driveway which was nearly impossible. Overall horrible experience.

Unhelpful and rude employees who create issues and mock customers with their friends at the repair shop that sent me to them. Consider Heartz for excellent service and reliable providers instead.

Avoid this Cathedral Heights branch if you can. I ordered a car on website, then 1 minute prior to pick up time, branch manager called and said no vehicle available. Then after 45 minutes she called and said it is ready. Then she called and said I have to go pick up a vehicle and will be back shortly. I waited at the branch for 2 hours for her to show up yet she rejected to give me the car because I told her this is not nice to make a customer wait 2 hours. Completely disappointed!!

Website promises you the world, emails you a confirmation, and then you show up and that reservation has absolutely no bearing on the real world and employers are forced to make excuses for “the system”. Only deal with them over the phone.

Avoid if you can. I ordered a car, they sent me a message to call them because it was not available. I called the number, changed type of the car in the order, came to the office just to find out they didn’t have it available either.

I rented a car last week from enterprise, they upgraded my car to a larger car, and I asked if it smelled like smoke, they said they couldn't tell. Well, the car really smells like smoke, but since I was only taking it for a week I didn't complain, but it was stretched out to 20 days so they gave me a credit. My advice,... is that if you're going to use enterprise do a smell test before you commit to anything, unless you like the smell of smoke

This experience is far from professional. I got into a car accident Apr. 2022 and was referred to this location by my insurance company. First of all, I did have an approval from insurance company to rent a SUV. Enterprise lack of communication proceeds to rent me a smaller car (a Chevrolet Malibu). Without even mentioned the change. It was just a this is what we got type of answer. Approximately 4 days later I was stopped by a police officer claiming the tags of my car are expired, to which I responded that this is a rental. My car being 75% full with gas now has to be returned and exchanged for another car. In this inconvenience, I forgot my very expensive sun glasses in the middle compartment of the Chevy, realizing at the end of the day, I left them in the car when returning it. I called, the lady that rents the cars said she was going to look in the car and call me back. 4 hrs later I called her back and she claimed the "guys" who parked the car didn't find anything (I said, well maybe I will go there and ask her to let me see in the car so I can find it myself). When I arrived at noon, she said the car was rented and for that reason I can not check in there. She claimed she called the new renters and they confirmed no sunglasses where to be found in the car. So, apparently Enterprise do not have any lost and found service. Then, when I returned the SUV I gave it back 1/4 less than half tank. Thinking since I gave almost full gas tank from previous car and all this inconvenience back and forth (with gas prices sky rocket) this would be just fair. No, the lady then proceed to charged me 4 gallons extra = $30 USD. Really, this has been the worst customer service. I was inconvenienced multiple times and the front desk lady was so nonchalant it's so frustrating.

Avoid this branch (or all Enterprise) at all cost. Was given no walk-around on picking up or dropping off car and then was slammed with a $1,600 damage claim. We've filed a fraud report. Car smelled disgusting.

For the person(s) who said they’ve rented from this location for 5 years: that’s not possible! It only opened late in 2021. Perhaps you’re thinking of the location on Calvert? That closed during Covid and this new location (inside the Glover Park Hotel) opened sometime in late summer / early Fall 2021. The customer service is great. I like the Wisconsin Ave NW location except for the hours and inability to drop off after hours. Since the Calvert location used the hotel garage you could drop off a vehicle after the office was closed. It was fantastic. Since this location is closed Saturday and Sunday and only open M-F from 8-5 (minus lunch break) it greatly reduces accessibility and usefulness for all dc drivers who rent cars for weekend travels and errands. It’s too expensive for me to extend a Friday reservation to return on Monday so maybe consider giving us a free weekend… OR allow us to return off hours with a drop box!

Tried to rent from here to drive out of town for family funeral. Waited over 30 minutes for car. Car smelled. Drove it home. Found food litter on backseat floor. Made multiple calls and sent multiple emails to resolve situation. Some branch responsiveness on vehicle retrieval and refund, but took a lot of prompting/checking in on customer’s part. Four days later, still waiting for confirmation of complete refund. Area Manager and Regional Office calls were promised but didn’t happen. No acknowledgment of family situation offered. No need for lack of sensitivity on top of a lack of customer service.Chris M. - Thanks for your reply. I did as you requested. No response thus far.

Good location in Glover Park at the hotel. However, I reserved a mid-sized car and they “upgraded” me to a sports car. I had car seats to put in so that was not going to work. Thankfully, they were able to get another car over from a different location, but it did take some time I didn’t really have to spare. The person working was very kind though, so I would use them again. Be aware they are pricier than other locations only a few miles away in VA due to the city address I assume.

Enterprise is still booking rentals for this location even though it's closed.

Apparently this location has been closed for six months, but they’re still accepting reservations and then informing people 2 days before their pick-up that they have to go to a different location 2 miles away. Frustrating!

I’ve always had a great experience picking up from this location in the past so hate to put in two stars but it is *CLOSED* and enterprise has yet to change the status of it online! Beware!
