I spent the weekend here with a wedding group and am truly stunned with the good and great reviews. Everything about our visit was just bad.The price for the saved block of rooms was higher than a regular booking, so we chose that option. Our reservation was cancelled about two weeks before, with no reason given. We were able to then secure a room in the block but for the block price and not the cheaper rate.We were told we would have curated records in our room, but no one in our party received them. When we called the front desk, they promised to fix it as soon as possible but never did in the 48 hours we stayed there. The phones in multiple rooms , including ours - did not work at all - not even a dial tone. We had to make all calls on cell phones. The water pressure in my shower was so strong it left bruises, although other members of our party reported very low pressure that made showers challenging. There's also no way to turn on the shower without soaking half the bathroom and the water ran right over the edge of the shower and onto the floor.Housekeeping entered our room despite the 'do not disturb' hanger on the door handle. It took over an hour for promised day-of amenities to be delivered after calling the front desk. There were supposed to be hand-held steamers in every room but no one actually had one. One of the staff got angry with the bride, swearing that there was one in the room - despite six people looking for it and not finding it (it was, in fact, not in the room and they had to bring one). The small fridge ran so hot that you could feel the heat from over a foot away. The valet service was abysmal. Guests are supposed to be able to request their cars electronically. My husband submitted the requests but we still had to go to the valet (if one could even be found, which apparently wasn't a guarantee) and request it in person. The wedding planner felt so guilty about recommending the hotel compared to the service we received. None of us will ever recommend the Eaton. It's particularly upsetting given the price point.

This was such a fantastic place to stay, and within walking distance to every destination we wanted to see! Simone at the front desk was such a warm presence as we checked in, and the hotel had the perfect ambience and mix of relaxation and excitement. Michele’s in the main lobby was great for cocktails and steak. I will definitely be visiting Eaton again!!

If you like hearing loud music until the early morning hours in your room this is the place to be. At times the floor was even slightly trembling. There might be noise resistant guests who don‘t mind but it is extremely unfair by the hotel not to mention such a fact. Quite the opposite… the receptionist pretended to upgrade us by giving us a room on one of the top floors which meant nearer to the bar and the dance club on the roof. I bet she was laughing her head off behind our back.

Noteworthy details: Great atmosphere for meet-up or remote working.

I took the Uber from Union Station and it was a quick 12 min drive. Location is perfect and walkable to almost everything. U enter in the hotel and it looks very chic. Radio station downstairs, the coffee shop has a good menu with ridiculous prices. There’s a restaurant too but didn’t eat there.Coming from NYC, I expected the rooms to be tight. But bed was basic, no iron in the room and bathroom faucets were violent enough to soak your clothes. The shower is placed weird that u gotta get soaked just to turn it on. The record player in the room was a classic touch but did NOT work. The elevator was a big issue, kept locking people down. And the gym? Sad sad setup, I mean if u r charging $550 a nite offer a decent gym, darn it. The gym floor n mats were filthy, can hardly call it a gym.All in all, a decent hotel, prime location. Be ready to pay a fortune with no real amenities. Welcome to corrupt DC. ??

Eaton is a hotel that exploits the idea of progressiveness and being founded by a WOC… Last year a lot of us asked ourselves how is a billionaire a good/moral person? The founder is a billionaire-heiress.Outside of the manager Faye, my stay there was horrible from booking to checkout. I had to physically go to the hotel to fix the issue with my reservation, they switched my room, promised things they did provide, their manager Michele is inept as some of the staff who refused to assist me, I had to change rooms, the electrical engineer came to my room multiple times bc the record player didn’t work, the shower design is horrible and water spills all over the floor, the lights cut off while I was in the shower, the refrigerator doesn’t get cold, they don’t have glasses and will offer plastic cups, and you have to come downstairs to go to the rooftop even with your keycard.Non-one ever got back in contact with me after my experience. I even wrote an email and no one including the GM or manager responded. If they happen to respond to this, know it’s performative.

Best hotel in DC! Beds are comfortable, restaurant is great, the place has a hip stylish vibe that caters both to local and out of town crowds. I love the social justice, orientation, and support any business going in that direction. I had 40 minutes in a sauna for $40 and felt it was clean, comfortable and private, and would recommend to anyone coming in after a long days travel. Only thing I would note is that the restaurant is not open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the neighborhood has very few good restaurants so unfortunately that is a bummer. The coffee shop is decent, but certainly not enough for longer stays.

What a great experience. This hotel is Amazing. Almost became my home lol after a few delays and changes in my trip but the Eaton made sure I was taken care of the entire time. Being welcomed by Simone after a long night of traveling to Sandy answering all my questions made my trip go so smooth moving forward. I will be back because there’s so much to explore at this location: rooftop entertainment, intimate lounges & workshops, & plenty of restaurants to dine at. Valet was always ready and attentive. Let’s not forget the beautiful room and views. Thank you all.Walkability: Valet isn’t that necessary if you’re exploring the area. There’s a lot of walkable places and Uber is a $9/$10 cost to things close by if the walk exceeds 15 minutes.

The rooftop bar and lounge is fun, and offers nice views of the city.Went back to visit there wellness Center and spa. Treated myself to a 40-minute session in the infrared sauna. Very invigorating and relaxing! The hostess was friendly and informative. We will definitely be back to book massages.

In regards to the restaurant in this hotel - We had an issue with the bottle of wine we initially chose (it smelled and tasted strongly of cork) but luckily we had Mauricio, Marcus, and Bobby who not only let us choose a different bottle at a discount but also took excellent care of us in general with attention and care throughout our dinner. The whole Michele's Team was super professional, so thanks guys!

People noisily marauding through the hallways at 2am and what at the sounded like a nearby room party—but what we later learned was probably the rooftop club—made sleeping nearly impossible. When booking, the website advertised a more tranquil environment. Apparently, the hotel has a mediation room, a yoga room, and two infrared saunas. If they exist, we never saw them. We would have been more mentally prepared for party central if we had been forewarned—or we would have just stayed somewhere else.

Very unique and cozy hotel. Only reason I’m not giving it 5 is that there is no coffee machine or bottled water in the room. Also, there is no water dispenser in the lobby area. You tend to get thirsty. Other than that, great clean hotel.
