Oh, what a cosmic disappointment! ?? But fear not, fellow space traveler! Even without the moon rock caress, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum remains an interstellar wonder. ?Picture this: You step into the museum, and suddenly, you’re surrounded by the echoes of rocket engines, the whispers of astronauts, and the hum of history itself. The air crackles with anticipation as you wander through the exhibits, each one a portal to a different era of exploration. The Wright brothers’ Flyer stands there, like a time-traveling sentinel, reminding us that once upon a time, humans dared to defy gravity. Their wooden wings carried dreams aloft, and now they rest here, immortalized in the annals of aviation. And then, the Apollo Command Module, scarred by reentry, tells tales of lunar voyages. You can almost hear Neil Armstrong’s heartbeat as he took that giant leap for mankind. ?The Space Shuttle Discovery looms overhead, its tiles whispering secrets of fiery reentries and weightless orbits. You can almost feel the vibrations as it launched into the great unknown. But wait, there’s more! The Star Trek exhibit beams you up to the final frontier, where Klingons and Romulans await. ? And the Planetarium, oh, the Planetarium! It’s like diving headfirst into a cosmic kaleidoscope, where galaxies swirl and black holes beckon.Sure, the moon rock eluded us this time, but the spirit of exploration is alive and well. So, my fellow stargazers, let’s raise our imaginary glasses to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum—a place where dreams take flight, and the universe unfolds its secrets. ?✨ Five stars, no moon rock required! ??

GET YOUR TICKETS EARLY!!!!! Otherwise, you will most likely have to come another day. I waited for about 3 hours to get in because of this. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I knew about getting tickets beforehand. The tickets are free so don't worry about that.It was nice, but about a little more than half of the place are blocked off due to matenince. The place was packed with people. It was starting to stress me out due to how many people wear in there. In one of the areas, there was an alarm going off, and I was losing my mind. It was so loud and I got a migraine from it. It seemed like the staff didn't care about it. It is an actual alarm, not like from a video or anything. It was an odd experience. The show they had (which you have to pay for) was really cool. Definitely recommend it. They had 2 different shows. I watched the dark side one, and it was neat.My overall experience was ok. If anything the waiting for 3 hours kind of ruined it for me. From looking up this place online, nothing really mentioned that I needed tickets to enter or even on here for that matter. So please do yourself a favor and get your tickets beforehand. Otherwise, it will ruin your experience.

This is a MUST SEE for anyone with an interest in the history of flight and space exploration! Plan to spend several hours exploring the galleries! They have timed entry so PLAN AHEAD and get your reservation in advance. I got lucky and got a same day reservation, but those are very limited and got FAST! This is one of the museums that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Highlights include the Wright Brothers exhibit and Apollo 11 artifacts including the command module and Neil Armstrong’s space suit!

Absolutely disappointed the second we walked in. The people who checked our bags when we first walked in were insanely rude. My boyfriend’s mom has hearing loss and were very impatient when she tried to tell them she couldn’t hear them. They allowed me to take a Starbucks drink (in a glass a bottle) however they wouldn’t allow my boyfriend to take a similar glass bottle of drink inside, they made him throw it away while I could still have mine. I will not be coming back. The museum is cool but the people are not worth the time.

Unfortunately, those of us who are waiting for the parcels take it out on the driver, but in reality the real dishonest people are at the office, in my case Grosseto. They put the recipient as absent, sometimes even non-existent or incomplete, because they don't want to take the packages to out-of-the-way places, they work for days causing the goods to end up in storage and ask for money for the storage or to disgorge it. If we lived in a fair state they should be arrested for fraud

A magnificent visit made thanks to a school trip. I highly recommend it to all enthusiasts or just those interested because the museum is truly immense.

Museo consigliato!

One of the best air and space museums in the world. You can see everything from the original "Flyer" by the Wright brothers, which inaugurated the era of aviation, to recent space modules, reviewing the entire history.Curious gift shop, where one can buy astronaut food or meteorite fragments. The visit is free, but you have to get your ticket online.

Used to be my favorite museum, but now you wait in that DC heat in a big line to get in? Rough. Two stars for nostalgia of visiting here as a kid.Update: was skimming through other reviews. Half of the reviews are from tour guides so take with a grain of salt.
