I usually try very hard NOT to write negative reviews. Everyone has a bad day and we all have to work together to get through them or perhaps the person answering the phone is very busy.
I get these things happen.
Unfortunately, I believe something else is happening at this office. This is a problem with the culture. Leadership at this office is failing their patients, either because they don’t care or don’t know how to manage a medical business or they simply don’t have the ability to do so.
Whatever the case may be, the message the staff is getting at this office is that it’s simply not a priority to actually try to help their patients and that’s ok.
The patient is not a priority. This is a business that may as well be selling cars or widgets or whatever.
It just so happens that they’re selling medical services. Don’t expect much, there’s nothing special here. I strongly discourage you from being a patient at this practice; boycott these people, they do not deserve your patronage.
Organizations such as these need to understand that they need to be responsive to the people who keep their doors open.
I never like to speak negatively about a business, but that’s all this is, it’s a business in it for the profit.

I had a visit two days, and I normally revive ok treatment here but I wasn’t feeling the best before this visit and I came in sweats and a tee and no makeup, I noticed the front desk wasn’t as patient, but as the next CPU’s timer walked in, they were perfectly nice with them. The nurse was ok not the best but when my Dr walked in, she wasn’t as nice as my pass few visit, which I understand, you could’ve had a bad morning and she was pregnant and I can understand that. But I just felt rushed, I came in because I had problems and she was just there to film out a form basically, it didn’t feel like she was there to be a Dr. Like I had to stop her mid sentence to ask for help as she was basically dismissing herself.

No issues with the level of service. My issue is if you do not have a credit card to put on file with them no service. I do and I did . I have Atena medicare plane. I am not comfortable with companies having my credit card on file. I never had an outstanding bill balance with HHC that was not paid in a timely manner. I have received notices from health care companies / providers that my information had been compromised.
That is why we need laws to prevent this.

You deserve better care than this place offers.
I was a patient here BRIEFLY in 2016 and it was horrible. I had a terrible administrative experience and no one cared. There was absolutely no consistency across the team in terms of information and communication. I went to pick up a simple TB test form and was told to wait for what ended up being 45 minutes - just for the signed paper that had been next to the receptionist the entire time? It was such an unbelievable waste of time and energy, let alone the lack of care shown by the actual providers. Fast forward to 2024, I need the vaccination records they have on file and I call the office - NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Jasmine tried to help but when I called back again 2 minutes later and a different receptionist answered the phone: 100% dismissive and rude.

DR Birdsall is extremely rude treats you like you’re an idiot. I get it you’re a doctor but you don’t have to act like a know it all. Nurses are also rude, specifically nurse Stephanie. It’s sad that your patients are in a vulnerable state and are looking to you for answers and you treat them the way you do. Do better. If I could give zero stars I would

On Wednesday December 13, 2024 at around 4:30 pm. I experienced the worst customer service from a representative supposedly named "Monica". She didn’t share her last name. She was rude, unhelpful, and seemed completely disinterested in assisting me, as a new client, with scheduling an appointment with one of the networks providers. It was incredibly frustrating and left me feeling frustrated and unheard. I hope that the company takes my feedback seriously and addresses the issue with their customer service team. If it wasn’t because of the strong recommendation I received of this provider, I wouldn’t be placing my business here.

Complete and utter disregard for patient care. Waited a month to see doctor for a simple refill for medication you cannot just stop taking. I was told I needed to reschedule since the doctor couldnt see me, next appointment was in October. Admin could not care less about the circumstances and repercussions this had. I couldnt imagine being in dire need or being elderly and have to deal with the careless, unhelpful, bottom of the barrel field staff that works there. Choose any other facility but here, 0 stars.

Great PCPs and kind staff. Minus Kayla the receptionist. She was so mean to me today coming in with my one and a half year old son. Any parent knows it can be challenging bringing their kiddo alone to an appointment with them. She yelled at me through the window and told me that he is not allowed to hold the hand sanitizer at all and to put it back immediately. Mind you I was following him around and he grabbed the little bottle innocently. He was being a toddler and organizing the bottles very briefly. (They were dispersed all throughout the waiting room at kid height.) When your kid is as young as mine, he has no understanding of total dialogue and something so innocent I didn't think was a problem so as long as I was carefully looking over him in the moment I did not see harm in it. It's not like he was drinking it or anything. So, I told her it is fine he is just holding it. She screamed back at me reinforcing the situation. I told her I can parent my own kid, and asked her if it is not allowed to put up a sign. I still had no issue taking it away from him. But it was the cruel demeanor and attitude that threw me off. She told me she'll let her manager know. I was in shock and embarrassment amongst another waiting patient. Exhausted, then I was telling her she gave me anxiety by how she talked to me. (She had a classless and rude tone) she continued to create drama in the reception area, discussing it amongst a coworker behind her. When I told her she gave me anxiety, she smiled and mocked me. I told her it wasn't funny. She said you can't see I'm smiling I'm wearing a mask! I told her I can still see in her eyes and by her tone and that this all wasn't fair. At this point I'm panicking. The nurse let's me in and the medical director was on site who was also a physician. She isolated me and my son in a room and let me explain what happened. She was very kind and responsive and seemingly very disappointed in the experience I've had, then made sure to follow up with the rude receptionist. My doctor took care of me shortly after and I was on my out. I will come back because the rest of the staff was very nice and understanding. But I dread the day I return and Kayla sits there waiting. I will make sure to schedule my next appointment as long as she isn't there. Thank you for reading my review.

My mother went in here for an appointment today and the receptionist first gave her an attitude when my mother said she just didn’t want to answer a question and argued with my mother when she tried to schedule an appointment. Then she went to talk to another receptionist and they also gave her attitude. They were not being understanding of her situation and schedule and was being very unprofessional with the way they spoke to her and dealt with the scheduling. I believe if you are going to be in a healthcare profession there has to be a level of patience and professionalism.

Front desk staff was not helpful. The schedulers provided me with a date and when I arrived to the office the appointment was not in the system. The providers are not available when you actually have a medical issue and I have to wait over a year to have a physical because of how busy the doctors are. Doctors have too many patients which has reduced the quality of care.

I wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely HORRID experience. This is the location of my former PCP. I saw her many years ago when I selected her as my PCP and I liked her. I still like her and find her to be compassionate during our in-person appointments, however the complete and total incompetence of this office makes it impossible to move forward with Hartford Healthcare Medical Group for me personally and I will be switching PCP's as a result. The first red flag was many years ago, after I first met my PCP and was prescribed an anti-anxiety medication. I was traveling out of state when it ran out and at that time I had apparently gone through all my refills, so when I contacted them to let them know I was out, they said they could not issue any more refills without me coming in person to the office. I was 3,000 miles away so this was not possible, and I was essentially forced to quit the medication cold turkey, rather than safely wean off. This was dangerous and an unpleasant experience, however I took responsibility for my role in that I should have been better prepared/made sure I would be able to refill my prescriptions while I was traveling. I decided to keep my PCP and give another chance. I regret this deeply. Last month, I was unexpectedly hospitalized for almost a week. Upon discharge, I followed-up with my PCP. Again, she was kind and compassionate in person and I liked her very much. The office, however, dropped the ball in such a way that is completely unforgivable and the only silver lining is that I will NEVER deal with them again. At my follow-up appointment with my PCP, I reviewed my labs from the hospital with her and I was given a referral to a specialist. I learned the following day that the specialist was not covered by my insurance. I contacted the PCP office for a new referral to someone I have coverage with. It has been utter hell ever since - the specialist informed the PCP office they needed my labs and after WEEKS of calling nearly daily, the PCP office still has not sent my labs to the specialist. Today, the PCP's medical assistant, Denise, called to inform me I'd have to call the hospital and have THEM send my labs to the specialist. Why wasn't I told this WEEKS ago? Why did they tell me nearly daily that they would send them, only to not? Why was my PCP able to go over the hospital labs with me during my follow-up appointment, but is unable to send them to the specialist for me with the referral? Hartford Healthcare has left me in a position unable to get care, and I will be reporting this matter as well as never doing "business" with Hartford Healthcare ever again. This is health negligence and I cannot fathom them treating older patients this way who may not have the stamina or wherewithal to spend hours a day on the phone for weeks, as I have endured. I highly recommend going elsewhere for your medical care! Trust me, if you ever find yourself unexpectedly hospitalized as I did, this is NOT who you want your critical health care follow ups to be through!! It's downright dangerous for your health (not to mention the toll on mental health). Patients beware!

I have been trying to get a physical appt scheduled for the beginning of Dec and the first thing that I got informed was that my Dr. had left the practice, which I received no notice of.. and that I would have to be scheduled with a new provider but nothing was available until the end of Dec and they asked if I would like a Dr that will also provide a pap smear exam and I said yes. They scheduled me for Dec 28 with DR. Leech. They called me on Dec 16th stating they needed to change my appt because the Dr they scheduled me with doesn't do pap smear exams anymore. So I told them that the physical at this moment was more important because my job requires me to have a physical every year. Then they told me they will leave my appointment with Dr. Leech and remove the pap smear exam. I said great. They called me again on Dec 20 to make sure I knew that it was only a physical with no pap smear exam I told them yes I know that and that was fine. They called me on Dec 23 or 24 to confirm my appointment for Tuesday the 28th and I said I will be there and then they call me on Monday the 27 stating they need to cancel the appointment all together and that they are not booking til Feb 2022. This is ridiculous and they have no consideration for our needs. Very angry at the way this office is running. I am now looking for another primary care office that will care for their patients.

Awful experience. Spent over two hours in total on hold. Ended up speaking to a receptionist to set up a zoom meeting but doctor/nurse never called me. This is the last thing you need when you are sick.
