Joined to give it a shot. Very disappointed. Locker room is filthy and you can smell the toilet as they are always clogged. People continue to use them even when clogged. When you walk in the front door you can smell the funky smell in the stairwell. Smells like mold to me. Equipment is from the turn of the century at best. Many machines not working. Hodgepodge of equipment in different locations, no rhyme nor reason for placement. Will never be back.

Signing up was a no brainer for this gym. The staff is amazing and friendly, the location is great, and the facility has everything you need. Even when the parking lot is full, there are machines or areas to work out in. Alot of turf areas which are nice. The aggression wall is a favorite. Throwing balls at it to release stress and work some muscle groups! The next best thing are the shakes. Having seating and tables to enjoy your protein shake after your workout is relaxing. Not to mention that they actually taste GREAT. Rocco choco with strawberries is my fave! Tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry. I get it with almond milk. It's probably the biggest gym I've been to, but everything is grouped together and makes your workout time go seamlessly.

Big Sky Fitness gym itself is good; however, the contract is managed by ABC Fitness, which is absolutely predatory and a scam. If you need to cancel the membership for legitimate reasons, they will require a ridiculous amount of information from you: "You must move your residence 15 miles or more from any Big Sky facility. You must provide sufficient proof that you are moving. Please send in one of the following: New lease agreement in the member's name signed by member and lessor. New utility hook-up or utility bill in member's name showing new address. Newly issued driver's license showing new address. Copy of a pay stub from a new employer showing new address. Students--must send in a copy of a class schedule and tuition receipt. Car or home insurance papers showing new address. Closing papers on a purchase of a new home. Current bank statement showing new address. Current major credit card statement showing new address. Post office change of address confirmation. Military orders greater than a 3-month duration." This is just another way for them to make the process very tedious, so they can keep siphoning your money away, despite your loyalty and prior payments. Please be cautious of this and consider finding another gym with a more reasonable cancellation policy.

Fantastic gym! The sit down machines are better than most and that’s the least exciting feature. This place is spacey, feels like a home away from home, and is a fantastic experience every time.

Love this gym! I’ve been coming for years now. The facility is clean and the equipment is all new and cutting edge. I’m addicted to Angela’s shakes too! ?

Best gym I've ever belonged to by far! Everyone at the desk has been super welcoming, and the shakes are amazing.

Don't trust the childcare room with your younger children. Staff cannot protect them from the older children.

I’ve been going to Big Sky for a while now. 2020-2021 I went to the Farmington location and that one’s quite nice with an outdoor and indoor pool and a huge locker room. Now 2022-2023 I’ve been going to the Vernon location and the showers are beautiful. There are plenty squat racks and everything you’d want in a gym. I’ve also been a member of Edge which is nearby and Big Sky is better in my opinion because there are less people at all times it seems lol. And Big Sky has a hugeee shake menu (Edge has small selection). Not to mention the promotions they run on memberships and rewards for referrals. Also I’m friends with Rob at the front desk and he’s been so helpful the past couple months - when I needed assistance switching from my student prepaid membership once it expired to the monthly (came with 2 month free promotion online), with shake recommendations, when I need help looking for specific equipment, when I needed help with the reward for referring others, and is just generally nice to talk to and joke around with. The onlyyyy thing I would ask of Big Sky for a better experience would be to stock the women’s locker room/bathroom with tampons and pads!!!!I’ve talked with multiple women who are members here about how there are not accommodations for women in those terms…There’s a large female audience at this gym! We would appreciate the consideration a lot more than is obvious.

Place is incredible. It's by far the best gym I've ever been too and I've been to quite a few. The equipment is top of the line and the staff knows their sh#$. I feel good just being in there.

My Sons both enjoyed their time at Big Sky. Due to personal medical reasons, we eventually needed to cancel their memberships. We did have an issue with the billing department when we attempted to cancel, however the Club Manager, Katrina, was extremely helpful and professional, resolving the issue very much in our favor. She supported us throughout the issue, and she worked directly with corporate billing services on our behalf to not only resolve the issue for us, but also went above and beyond to get refunds issued back to us for the months that my Sons were unable to use the gym. Thank you, Katrina, for your support, communication, and excellent customer service.

Best gym in Connecticut, in my opinion, Great equipment; employees are always willing to help out; the smoothies are AMAZING!! Different activities you can sign up for, get one-on-one training with a trainer, and more. I love this place.

I moved to this gym when LA Fitness closed in our area. I only wish I had checked out this gym years ago. It is a significant step up from any other gym in the area. They work hard every week to make this gym better. makes it so much easier to go work out when you have a great gym like this one.

Overall, it's a nice gym with a wide variety of equipment and group ex classes. It kind of smells in the entry way especially, and people don't always wipe down their equipment and you rarely see staff cleaning. But READ THE FINE PRINT. They lure you in with "4 months free," but then you have to to commit for a year. The only way to cancel is if you are medically permanently disabled and have a doctors note, or you can provide proof that you moved more than 15 miles away. After the year you can cancel, but you need to give them a 25 days notice or else you'll get charged for another month. If you want to upgrade or downgrade your membership, you are relocked into another year. I've had negative experiences with some of the older men being creepy but feeling uncomfortable on the premises isn't a valid reason to cancel. Just know what you're signing up for.

I’ve been going here for a few years now. Staff is super kind and they make coming to the gym more personal. They work to create a connection with their clients. Equipment is great and the people who go there are really nice and supportive. Highly recommend
