I had an appointment for 9 AM today, I walk in And it turns out the groomer called out, I don’t understand why they didn’t give a phone call and make people go out of their way to tell them Their groomer is not there. You should’ve called ahead of time I find it very unprofessional.

Our dog is a Labrador, and we used Banfield Pet Hospital at Petsmart in another location. The experience was cumbersome, and I won't go into details here. This time, I want to share our horrifying experience at the Petsmart Pet Hotel in Stamford. My husband and I recently boarded our dog there and went to another state for business.Early one morning, around 7 am, we were awakened by a call saying our dog had bitten a Petsmart staff member. Unless we picked up our dog immediately, they would hand him over to animal control (you know what that means). We were terrified, our minds went blank, and we just wanted to contact friends as quickly as possible to help pick up the dog. Thankfully, a friend who had only met our dog once came to our aid immediately, ensuring our dog's safety.Hours later, after calming down, we realized something was amiss. Our dog, a Labrador, one of the least aggressive breeds globally, known for being gentle and well-behaved by our friends, how could he randomly bite someone? If he were truly dangerous, how could our friend, who had only met the dog once, be willing to help us without hesitation? I could only think that Petsmart's staff mistreated my dog during that time. I checked some reviews and learned that some employees even hit dogs with items, which reinforcing my suspicion. However, I lack evidence to sue Petsmart, so I have to let it go.Now we have taken our dog home from our friend. Our friend described our dog as well-trained, most lovely boy he ever seen that every time he took our dog for a walk, there were people wanted to pet our dog. This experience was truly horrifying, and thinking about it now is frightening. Many thanks to the friend who helped; he was also frightened by Petsmart's staff. They described my dog as aggressive, made it sound severe, and informed our friend that our dog was now blacklisted at Petsmart, and no Petsmart would accept him in the future. I just want to say that even if Petsmart were to remove my dog from their blacklist, I would never step into their stores again.

Employees are complete joke at this location. Two women that work here constantly talk down to me anytime I come in, last time one of them just straight refused to sell any fish to me because she claimed to not like my attitude?! So after being ganged up on by all three employees that were working there at the time was then forced to leave since they insisted on refusing to sell me any products simply due to me telling her I don't need a lecture on fish tanks and water every time I come in. I brought back dead fish ONCE within a two day period after purchasing it, and after bringing it back was told if if it happens again they won't be able to replace per their store policy. Every time a fish dies they always insist it my fault, they never wanna deal with getting the fish out of the tanks so they look for any possible reason not to sell them to you. I even had one of the employees tell me it's too bad if I spend thousands of dollars a month at that location and it sounds like a personal problem maybe just go somewhere else! It's just amazing how lazy most of the employees are and how high and mighty they act & poorly treat people as if they have some high college degree and we're all stupid uneducated people who pay their paychecks. Pretty sad when Petsmart employees start try pulling power moves, refusing to do their job, and talking down to customers. This young lady with glasses working on a Friday night also claimed to be the management which I find shocking if true. Probably the worst shopping experience I've ever had regardless of what type of store.

I recently had my dog stay at the PetSmart hotel over the Labor Day weekend, and I have to express my deep disappointment with the experience. Upon picking up my dog, my boyfriend and I noticed that she had blood spots all over her legs, and upon further examination, it was evident that she had a piece of skin missing from her tail, resembling a bite wound. We immediately brought this to the attention of Alexis at the front desk. She attributed the injury to "happy tail" caused by excessive tail wagging. This explanation didn't sit right with us as our dog isn't a puppy and has never experienced this issue before. Moreover, there was a clear piece of her tail missing, which didn't align with the "happy tail" explanation. We had scheduled a bath for our dog before picking her up, and we were left baffled as to how the staff didn't notice the blood on her legs or the wound during the bath or inspection. This lack of awareness is concerning. We spoke with Marlinena, the manager, hoping for a more understanding and empathetic response. Unfortunately, she did not appear concerned or acknowledge the reasons for our distress. We requested that they email us to confirm that this injury occurred under their supervision, or rather, their lack of proper supervision. They also assured us they would take care of any necessary vet bills. However, as expected, we never received that promised email, which reflects a lack of accountability and follow-through. Furthermore, when we questioned how they failed to notice the injury during our dog's bath, an employee informed us that they don't wash the tail or, apparently, the legs when they give baths. This admission left us bewildered, as it raises questions about the thoroughness and quality of their services and care. Overall, our experience at the PetSmart hotel has not only been disappointing but also frustrating due to the lack of communication and accountability regarding our dog's injury. We hope that they take this feedback seriously and make necessary improvements to ensure the safety and well-being of pets in their care in the future.

My family's dog has spent several days at PetSmart, and we had no complaints regarding that. It did take a bit of time for us to get an answer when we used the buzzer on the front, but that's the only issue.
