It's kind of like average minus supermarket and above average pricing. Nothing is especially wrong with it but I think they're better options.

We appreciate the help and friendly service. The prices are as fair as can be with today's inflation. It's a great store

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ReviewIn a world where convenience often comes at the cost of personal service, the Grade A Supermarket in the bustling Newfield shopping center of Stamford, CT, stands as a refreshing reminder of the days of yore. This family-owned business truly sets the gold standard for grocery shopping with a perfect blend of modern-day supermarket necessities and an irresistible nostalgic charm.Upon entering the store, I was immediately taken by its impeccable cleanliness and well-organized layout. Every aisle is thoroughly stocked, boasting an array of fresh produce, diverse international goods, local brands, and those everyday essentials we can't live without. Their selection truly encapsulates the diverse palate of our vibrant neighborhood, making it a one-stop shop for all culinary adventures. However, the true heart of Grade A Supermarket lies within its exceptional staff. It's clear from the first interaction that the employees are not just there to do their job but to serve with a smile. In an era when self-checkouts and self-bagging are becoming the norm, the staff at Grade A makes each customer feel valued and well-cared for. They're always ready to assist you, be it finding an elusive ingredient or helping you carry your bags to the car. Their dedication to offering a seamless shopping experience speaks volumes about the values instilled by the family that has nurtured this business. In essence, Grade A Supermarket is a friendly throwback to when grocery shopping wasn't a chore but an experience. It's the place where you are not just another customer in the checkout line but a valued community member. If you're in Stamford, CT, and need groceries or want to experience a nostalgic trip down memory lane, I highly recommend the Grade A Supermarket in Newfield Shopping Center. This isn't just a supermarket - it's a testament to the power of local business and the warmth of the community. Experience it for yourself; you won't be disappointed. And remember, at Grade A Supermarket, you're not just shopping - you're coming home.

I have been buying the artisan breads at both Grade A locations for several years. They always, without fail, have large holes throughout the loaf. Today I have a sliced sourdough loaf with gigantic holes. I have done some professional baking and was always told that this comes from the dough being too cold. If they read this maybe they can improve?

Grade A shoprite?! This store is an embarassment! Its old, outdated, low inventory, price scanners broken, rude employees, most don't speak english! If Cingari family still owns, peel some millions off your rolls and update this store! You should be ashamed at how it looks! C'mon! Do better, be better!

I have just moved to the neighborhood and love Grade A! Neighbors have recommended us the place to shop and I have never had a bad experience until tonight. Unfortunately, I am currently the only person in my family without COVID, so I showed up with a mask and gloves to make sure I would not get anyone sick (especially during the holiday season). I went to the self check out to avoid the maskless employee who would be grabbing my items. Instead of getting greeted with a normal “Hello!” like I normally do, a middle aged woman with blonde hair and a scarf snapped at me saying the self check out was 20 items or less. I didn’t want to explain to her my situation so I hit her with a calm “Oh,” before I began to scan my things. Something happened with my check out machine and she came over to me (after watching me like a hawk — who would think someone in their mid-20s would need to me watched scanning each item when there is already a camera) and fixed the machine before watching me finish the rest of my items and walk away before I could apologize. With everything going on in people’s lives especially drying the holiday season, you would expect others to be nice and respectful. Extremely disappointed.

Great Location, Service, Fresh Produce & good selection that goes for the Prepared food (3 fav. Salads are: Quinoa, Edamme & Chix w/Cranberries & Walnuts) Love the "Filet of Fish Franchise". Fresh Meat, Seafood et al...Even the people that Shop there are personable & help each other!!! (BTW I previously owned 2 restaurants so I'm particular about food). They are My Go to Grocer!

I like this market. It is near my house. It has great produce and a fine meat department. The management and staff are very friendly and they are starting to recognize me, which is nice. Several times I didn't see the best produce or a low supply and have asked if they have any in the back and they typically will bring out what they have in an instant. They are usually pretty well stocked, though, whenever I manage to go. This is my go to Supermarket in Stamford.

This store has greatly improved over the years(I've been shopping here since I was a tot; now I'm old enough to collect Social Security). Selection is very good, and quality of produce is much better, although with occasional misses. Very accommodating- if they don't have a particular kind of kosher meat that you want, they will get it for you. When you ask for help, they will gladly do so. And those check-out ladies - as someone else said, they are the best in the world! Now will everyone reading this please pay it forward by rolling your shopping cart to the drop-off areas instead of leaving them in parking spaces?
