Bright Horizons ECT is an amazing place. My daughter started there last summer in the k prep program after being home in the pandemic. They were patient, compassionate and understood our needs and hers. The facility is top notch along with the curriculum and activities that they do. The teachers and directors are amazing. As my daughter enters kindergarten, I am sad to be leaving BH, but hope to return for summer camps in the future.

Bright Horizons has been a warm and caring environment for our two sons ages 4&6. Both boys have been there since being an infant and they have thrived. BH has an art room, STEM lab, an indoor movement zone and multiple playing areas out back that is protected from sun and enclosed so it’s private. The curriculum is very engaging. The teachers are beyond nurturing and the administration is amazing. They are extremely helpful and as a first time mom I was comfortable leaving my first child there. As my kids age out I am going to miss the teachers and their personal touches with my boys. There is nothing better than BH.

This is our second stint with Bright Horizons, having been at another center before we moved to Shelton. The ECT facility is beautiful and welcoming. The staff are warm and attentive. Our daughter loves going to school here and continues to grow and thrive under their care. The facility includes an enclosed playground out back, an indoor play space, speciality rooms for various activities, and nurseries/classrooms for various age groups. They do activities with the kids and always seem to have some kind of special theme or event going on each month. It's a wonderful environment for our daughter. I couldn't imagine her anywhere else.

Cannot say enough, truly. BH ECT was our third center, we finally found what we were looking for. Clean! Professional cleaning crew at night, teachers are constantly cleaning during the day. My son never got a weird childhood virus in teh 2 1/2 years he was there (unlike our other daycares where he caught RSV, Coxsackie, Croup, etc). Besides cleaning, the teachers are constantly having the kids potty and hand wash in logical points throughout the day. My previous center refused to help my son potty at age 2, even though he was potty trained at home. At BH it was a non-issue. The potties are small, plentiful, and accessible. Teachers even wiped his bottom. Healthy snacks are included! Hot lunch is from a 4 star italian restaurant and only $4!!My son is just starting kindergarten now and is BEYOND ready. He is about to move onto a 1st grade sight word list although it is Sept of kindergarten. Handwriting, math, science, art....everything in K is actually easy for him because of BH preparedness. Besides academics, he is socially ready for kindergarten and can handle normal little kid situations with ease. He can sit criss-cross applesauce on a carpet and give attention to a speaker. It's not just him though, 3 of his other friends that moved on to kindergarten are doing extremely well also.Playtime is fun at BH ECT too. The new trikes are a big hit, the playground is better quality than you will find anywhere else in shelton. Kids are very hidden and safe. Toys are educational and from actual education suppliers (not junky left over yard-sale toys). Oh, did I forget the touch screen computer in the class? The ONLY con is the price, however it is clear where your money is going. The cleaning crew at night alone is worth it if it prevents sickness. But there are all kinds of parties and celebrations that are FREE and super fun (include DJ, face-painting, etc). They have the newest books and instructional materials. I have learned the hard way not to skimp on daycare. A good preschool absolutely sets your child up for a lifetime of success.

One of the best daycare/preschools around. The staff is caring, the curriculum is excellent and the center very clean. The location is great, in a corporate park with security.

I am not 100% sure if Bright Horizons is worth the money. With that being said, we couldn't be happeir with daycare. Our son is in an infant room, and the room is big with lots of stuff to play on. They do a good job, overall. They treat us as customers who are doing them a favor of employing them (not doing you a favor of keeping your kid).Bright Horizons don't have a lot of vacation days (just normal holidays) and they don't close in bad weather unless they loose power or something.I quit my last daycare because of the issue with them being closed at every rain storm.Overall, I highly recommend Bright Horizons you can't go wrong here. Is it worth the extra bucks? That is for you.Con: Closes at 6, while some competitors close at 6:30. Pricey.
