Peter fixed my vintage Singer 338, which I had previously brought to another repair service, because Peter was moving from Old Saybrook to Stonington Connecticut. And would not be open for a few weeks. This other so called repair place, has excellent reviews. So I took a chance. Brought my machine in for an annual regular, to check everything service. I was told my upper tension was put on backwards, and he guaranteed me he fixed it, also needed a new belt, which I did, it was in rough shape. He sent me videos of his progress. I admit I was impressed. Took a couple weeks to get my machine back. I figured he was busy.I get it home and my upper tension is so tight I can’t pull my fabric through unless I wiggled the hand wheel or put it on 0. I put up with this for a year. I decided to go to Peter, told him my problem he told me my upper tension was broken! He fixed it in just a couple days, also said he changed the belt cause mine was dried out, which i just had change a year ago and adjusted my needle bar. It sews like butter now. Thanks Peter.

You can believe all these five-star reviews. Peter fixed a problem with my sewing machine that two other shops couldn't, and took care of another potential problem as well. Both he and Debbie take interest in their customers, and the shop, while small, carries anything that you might need. Not far from the Rhode Island line, and of course the Stonington area is also a destination. I highly recommend Shoreline Sewing.

Teresa has tailored many items for our family: uniforms, men's suits, gowns, dresses, pants; you name it! Honest, quick work at reasonable prices. Much better than any tailor I've ever had before!

Teresa is an honest and talented seamstress. She has altered my expensive clothes when I lost 30 lbs., and told me old suits with shoulder pads were not worth altering. Always on time and fits like a glove!

I have been a customer for many years, always had exceptional service. But unfortunately this establishment only has limited hours of business. And during the move to Stonington CT from Mystic , I needed one of my machines serviced. I had to find another place, which I did and was surprised the service was better which I didn't think it could be. So I will not be returning to Shoreline.

I brought my Janome in with tension issues. I have never brought any of my machines in before. Peter could not have been more helpful or friendly I expressed needing my machine back quickly because I had projects going. I truly was expecting a week or more because that's what I'm used to at a previous location To my surprise and happiness Peter called me less than 24 hours later to tell me my machine was done. I went to pick up my machine and it truly is a white glove service he came right out to my car and carried my machine which is a beast. Peter was very knowledgeable told me everything he found and fixed and even let me know some things that I was doing that could help my machine. The cost for the repair was extremely fair I will never bring my machines anywhere else I highly recommend them and feel you should bring your machines there as well !!! I promise you will have a wonderful experience I'm so happy they're only 10 minutes from my house !!!! Thank you again MIchele D
