Got oil change at this location. Started smelling gas smells. Come to find out, they did not tighten the oil cap all the way and oil was leaking all over my engine. Come on guys...

Another mechanic looked under car and observed that Valvoline techs had put 2 washers around the old drain plug instead of installing a new one. Messed up car; created major oil leakage. Jeremy, the so-called manager, was very sarcastic and rude, but relented and corrected the problem after I threatened to call corporate

We normally go to another location but came here because they were too busy there. The guys were polite, helpful, swift and accurate. No issues.

Thank you, Freddy and Chris! Professional and courteous customer service. Definitely go to Valvoline on Main Ave. Norwalk when you need an oil change or car fluid levels checked.

They didn’t tighten the drain plug on my wife’s oiil drain pan and all the oil drained out and she blew her motor and the car was totaled… As bad as it gets for an oil change place.

Friendly staff and super fast service. I deducted two stars however because I got a full synthetic oil change and the sticker they put on my window says to come back after 3000 miles or three months. Manufacturers recommendation is 10,000 miles or a year with full synthetic so I don’t appreciate the sticker as it’s misleading.

Listen up, the company that made your car DOES NOT suggest you change your oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles. But Valvoline Instant Oil Change places insist on putting a sticker on your windshield stating that. Unless your car was made 50 years ago, follow the instructions in your car's handbook, better yet, if your car has a mileage counter or a light telling you to get an oil change, do that. Changing your oil every 3,000 miles is plain wasteful and if you do it there, expensive too.I've been to both Valvoline places in Norwalk, (at the correct mileage intervals and only when I've been pressed for time), and both are mediocre. I hate the upsell. New wiper blades, new interior filters. Transmission flush!!! Don't need them. I also don't need to pay $100+ to see and hear the manager berating his staff members 'If you can't cut it, then you can f*ck off!' These are classy joints. It's interesting that the Valvoline person who replied from the HQ - and I do thank them for replying, although I still disagree - didn't address any of the iffy business practices or staff morale/education issues. Thankfully, electric cars don't need oil changes, and Valvoline Oil Change centers will soon start to go the way of Blockbuster stores.

Imagine an old time drive in where you pull into your spot and your car is surrounded by friendly well-mannered young men who bark orders. That's Valvoline. In the past I only went to my beloved reliable neighborhood mechanic for oil changes. Then I moved, didn't know any local shops and was desperate for an oil change. Valvoline fills that niche. You never have to get out of your car. They check your break lights and high beams. Yes the guys try to upsell you on everything. But they do take no for an answer. And where else can you go to replace a battery in under 20 minutes? A little pricier than some other local garages. But it's nice to know Valvoline exists and I'll continue to go there.
