For the second time trying to file my taxes this office lost a staff member mid-season and I had to make several appointments and pay late fees just to get them finished. It's a mess here. Beware.

I went to H&R Block today to make an appt, but they had an opening and took me immediately. The cost for the preparation saved me literally a few hundred dollars. I trust H&R Block. They were a pleasure to work with.

Well, it’s that time of year again!!! I always feel confident that my taxes were done right! Liz Santos has taken care of my taxes for the past three years, and she is wonderful! She takes the time to explain everything to me, and she does everything! She’s scheduled the day the IRS will be taking the money out of my account directly! It couldn’t be any easier, and I can’t say enough about this location. Everyone there is very friendly.

Very disappointed at the service we received from Martin. He was too busy making small talk to walk us through what he was doing, we were not invited to see his screen as he prepared our taxes - and at the end, after telling us how much we owed, he said "and I have some more bad news for you...." and told us the price, and not to kill the messenger. This is not how professionals should behave, especially when they are charging hundreds of dollars to enter paperwork into a computer. On top of that, he advised me to open a traditional IRA because "you're young, why do you care about the future?" This is horrible advice on so many levels. He also gave incorrect information when asked if an HSA will reduce our tax burden. The correct answer is yes. This whole experience was reminiscent of going shopping for used cars. I suggest anyone that goes to HR Block/Martin, do their own research - and better yet - file your own taxes.

I made an appt to get my tire plugged for 1:00 it’s 1:40 my car is still waiting to be serviced. My question is why did I make an appt if I was going to sit here for the simplest repair?
