Big mistake going to Geek Squad -- made tech consuting appt and arrived on time -- but an amazingly arriogant and rude woman asked me the problem -- I told her my Chromebook was not reading PDF documents all of a sudden -- So she looked at me me and said I made the wrong appt -- that I should have scheduled a training session -- where they would 'try' to teach me how to operate my device. I said I I know know how to operate it -- and she said " if you did - you would know why the PDF isn't working" -- So I needed to make a 'different' 30 min appt. -- and there's NO guarantee on my learning how to use it. Because they would have to start at 'the beginning' -- I asked for the manager and she said he was 'unavailable' -- and I needed to make a new appt OR Leave -- this 'person' is incrediblt BAD for their business -- Don't ever make an appt at Geek Squad, at Best Buy Manchester, CT -- you will walk out angrier than you thought possibleThis woman SPECIALIZES in 'customer-insulting' technique --.

Best Buy has the best financing option with 18 months but the installers they hire from third party vendors is HORRIBLE. In total I've purchased 2 ovens, 1 over the range microwave, 2 washing machines and a gas dryer so I have plenty of experience with this store. Just last week the washing machine installers left the washing machine upstairs in my garage instead of bringing it down to the basement and simply walked away saying he could t install it (since he didn't speak English it was through the other delivery guy so I wasn't able to ask questions). Then they left. I called customer service who refused to help me and said I needed to wait 24 hours before calling back because my delivery ticket was "in transit" in their system. I just spent 20 minutes on hold and my son was having surgery the next day. On top of that I had to wait 5 days for delivery. My husband and I went to the store in person that night and we ended up getting refunded installation and haul away because they left the item in the middle of our garage blocking access to our 3 season room instead of literally anywhere else. Needless to say my son and husband lugged it down and hooked it up. I had a washing machine in 15 minutes. The next Monday when Pilot Freight came to take the old one away they commented that we installed it ourselves and laughed. Keep laughing - when enough people speak up they'll be out of job.

They had an open box microwave listed as being an excellent condition. I purchased it online. When I got to the store to pick it up, as it turns out the microwave had clearly been used, it was missing all of its hardware including the mounting bracket, and even had some remnants of food left inside the microwave. The manager on the floor was very kind and tried to be helpful, but as it turns out, the best thing he could do to compensate me for the whole mess, including my driving 45 minutes each way to pick up the microwave, was a $20 store credit. It's an absolute joke. Furthermore, I spent couple hours today on chat with people from Best buy trying to get them to make it right and I got nothing out of it, even though one of the customer service reps on chat said that they would send me a coupon to use on a new microwave. I also tried to call the Manchester store after that experience to talk with another manager today, and they said that they could not transfer me to a manager. They said if I wanted to talk to a manager I had to drive back over to the store 45 minutes away. I'm sure someone has had a good experience with this store, but from my perspective it couldn't have gotten a whole lot worse. Best case scenario, the organization is incompetent based upon this... Worst case scenario scammers luring people into the store under false pretenses.

This has nothing to do with the customer service at the store. The store employees were great. The problem lies in their telephone customer service. It's the poorest excuse for customer service ever. They show how much they don't care by the service they don't offer. Absolutely pathetic. I won't ever buy anything at this store again.

Purchased a dishwasher 3 weeks ago. Salesman told me we had a free installation. I asked him if they would be able to do the install if there was no previous dishwasher in place, and he assured me they would be able to accomplish the task...Delivery day finally arrives and (big surprise) they can't install the dishwasher. Now I'm stuck paying this useless corporation for a service they can't even provide!!!

I normally do not leave reviews, however I felt as though I should this time. I went into the store the other day and was in complete distress. My laptop was giving me issues and I needed it for school the next day. I thought that I was going to have to buy a new one. There were two amazing gentlemen in the laptop department that rushed over to help me. They listened and were able to help me solve my problem. It was amazing customer service. I am so grateful.

Been to this Best Buy several times. I thought the limited amount of inventory in the store was just due to covid. Every time I go they are ALWAYS out of stock. Their inventory for things is so limited you're better off going to the next Best Buy. Also their customer service isn't the best. So not only am I not receiving anything that is the "best buy" but I'm also not getting the "best service"

I see their customer service still sucks. Went in the store today because we wanted to buy 2 $1000.00 Samsung flip phones. We're in the phone area for 20 minutes. Even though we were the only ones there and a young man walk around the area, we were never acknowledge. Left and bought phones elsewhere.

Based on many of the reviews posted for this Best Buy location, it is apparent that the customers leaving a review have either never worked for a big box establishment and/or, I would venture to guess, have never worked in a low wage, customer service job before (like retail, coffee shops, fast food, etc). It's really too bad to see such a lowly scored store when this was one of the best Best Buy locations I've been in. Seems well staffed on both my visits in the past week and the next employees promptly greeted me and ensured I was pointed in the right direction. I applaud the General Manager and the Assistant Managers for keeping a clean, well organized store. Clearly the staff cares about their jobs even if they don't always present themselves as overly enthusiastic (I get it, it's hard to always have that magical spark especially when dealing with the public and especially when the public is as ungrateful as many who left reviews here). Thanks for making my visits extra special!

I have hired Bestbuy people to install my thermostat back in April 2021, they came and installed the thermostat but after installation done the heating and cooling system stopped working. They could not figure out what went wrong I asked them to fix the problem they just left, then I went to the store and talked with several managers and still could not get any help. They schedule another appointment to fix the problem but no one showed up on that appointment time, The weather was not that good so I had to ask local HVAC people to figure the problem out. According to them whoever installed the thermostat that means Bestbuy people put it wrong so it triggered the control board fire end it needs to be replace which cost over $2000. Having a newborn baby at home I could not waited for long since I was not getting any response from Bestbuy I had to go and fix the problem which cost me $2500 . I was very disappointed with the response of Bestbuy store who were the one who actually help me setting up this installation and just trying to get away saying there's a third party and we can't help much. I have recently filed consumer protection against them and hoping for some justice in this matter

Kevin Todte is a customer service king. He went above and beyond to help me get the tv I wanted for a great price. Would definitely recommend him/Manchester Best Buy to others.
