The manager ( Cheyenne) that was working today wasn’t very professional, Discussing Personal Life rather than learning how to communicate their sales…I was informed improper information regarding their sale that was going on, She didn’t seem like she wanted to be at work, Miscommunication amongst each other as to how the sale was supposedly to go down and then when I questioned the cashier, He responded that he wasn’t the one to pit the signs smh, Do better or don’t apply and make customer service seem whack here, Eblens usually run good sales when the employees know exactly how the sales run..(Elsewhere they do, so why not here!)

"Do not go gently into that good night" is the theme of the current iteration of the old Pavilions. It's probably doomed when the Sears and JC Penney anchor stores eventually fold (yes, there's still a Sears here and no, there's no evidence anyone cares) but it's putting up a good fight. On the old school-shopper upside, it has both Forever 21 (bankrupt but still operating stores) and H&M, so somebody hopes to attract bright young things. There are also a decent array of the kind of stores teens shopped at in the 90s, plus an Icing, which I thought had vanished with the bankruptcy of Claire's. (This place is such a tour of "I thought that brand was dead" that I wouldn't have been surprised to see a Miller's Outpost.)There are brands of clothing you've never heard of unless you're a connoisseur of urban-wear (in which case, awesome!) and some you've never heard of at all.The Shoppes is pursuing the strategy of offering small local stores and organizations affordable rent to keep spaces filled, so there are almost enough gaming, comic, and RPG stores to start planning a convention, along with a Lego exchange. This makes it more entertaining to me that the impersonally glossy power strips surrounding it, as a dollar store (yes, there's a dollar store!) or off-brand toy store offers more chance of finding something unusual. Most of the usual suspects for taking over mall space already have spots in the power-strip hill-fortresses surrounding this mall, so the best shot for replacing Sears when it goes may be a swap meet. It's not the worst place in the world to go for a specific thing (you'll get a good parking spot) and it's got more vitality than some of Connecticut's other dying malls, but it's a long way from its glamour in the days when people shopped at enclosed malls on purpose.
