Absolutely superb wine store, with a well-curated selection, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
There is a very good chance that they have the wine (or spirit for that matter) that you are looking for, and if not they are generally happy to order it for you.
I can not recommend them enough if you are in the Greenwich/Stamford area, especially if you have a day on the Ave, and want to head back onto 95 it is very convenient to pop into Winewise and grab something.

Wine Wise is a very convenient wine shop in downtown Greenwich, next to Whole Foods. Steve, the owner, is very knowledgeable about wine. And he's entertaining both when talking about wine and as a musician. He's an all-around cool guy, and worth catching him if you can. Their selection is great. I usually just give them a vague idea of what I'm looking for, and then go with whatever they recommend. It's worked for me, because I haven't been disappointed yet.

I have been looking for this particular Whiskey for almost a year and couldn't believe it when I saw it. Steve is a great guy and business owner; very knowledgeable about both whiskey and wine. Couldn't recommend this place more! Thanks again Steve it was an absolute pleasure.

Even if you're looking for a more affordable bottle, WineWise and their helpful staff will guide you with a knowledgeable and personal approach to find just the right match. Set in the heart of downtown Greenwich, CT and steps from Whole Foods, your trip to WineWise will be well rewarded. And no need to snap a pic of the bottle label on your favorite wine-app to get advice! (Hint: Head to BevMo, WineWise is probably not for you.) ONCE UPON A TIME DURING COVID, WHEN MIKE WAS TAKING HIS VACATION...Stopping over here this summer, I was on a mission for some really excellent wines for my shore-side, Covid-induced, mostly-isolated vacation.After WholeFoods, I sauntered over and made my way through the front door. Immediately to the left is their "Spirits" room, and all your fun and fancy liquors and liqueurs await your selection. I found some great vermouth alternatives for my Manhattans. Yesss!Then leaving the spirits room is the grab-and-go -- but you should really pay, first, then go -- fridge and mini-bar-fix shelves (see below).I won't bore you with the usuals, they're all in the racks in front of you.THE REAL FUN BEGINS IN THE CELLAR ROOM!All the way in the back, and on the right, is the "Cellar Room". Climate controlled, slide the door and close it after you.(Please don't handle the bottles. They are at temperature.)I'm partial to French reds, and I was gleeful and giggly the whole time! '96 was a great year, and I picked up everything they had. Zazazaza!Even some of the '10s and an '09 to save for next year (2021). I win again! (Think Edna from Incredibles, that's so me right now!)I took LOTS of pics so you can see for yourself. But you really have no idea what you're doing.(I actually don't blame you for finding your way toward the colorful and sparkly minibar- and flask-sized-bottles behind the register counter! So many great selections there!)AND THANKS TO WINEWISE!Thanks for rekindling my love for collecting wines. I hadn't done so since moving up here from AZ!Thanks for helping me pack and insulate these bottles for travel. Next stop, i need a wine fridge!!

I was literally steps into this store when I was greeted by the "clerk" CURSING at me. Apparently I had inadvertently (and unknowingly) walked behind the countertop where the register is located. It was a total accident. But instead of a simple, polite acknowledgement of my faux-pas I was aggressively berated. Not only was the clerk's reaction incredibly rude, he acted in a proud manner when I told him "maybe I won't buy anything here". I am far from a child, and a pretty serious wine, whiskey, and beer connoisseur... I was hoping to make a purchase here based on what seemed to be a great selection. NOPE. My experience was quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and I was in the store less than 2 minutes. Stay away from this shop.
