“I needed to access my on-line banking to complete a payment. The reception in the area is very poor for mobile devices. The post master let me go into the office and use the office computer to access my online banking there. I was surprised. They also helped me find the correct box I needed to fit my item snuggly and offered free air cushions to make sure item did not slide around in the box. Transaction completed with no issues. “Love that these wonderful people are my post office. Very kind and super fast service. Even during the holiday season with delivery hiccups they're on it and keep you updated every step of the way til it gets to you. If these guys are your local USPS office you're in good hands. No USPS horror stories with this location”

“I think these boxes deserve a metal! They take so much abuse between the hours of 6pm to 4pm the next day. Be sure to get there early because packages line up out the door to get a place in the bins. Standing room only on most days. They see more action than a President Biden rally. Give them a hug when you drop off your packages, but be sure you mask up....they do look a bit frumpy.Click the thumbs up icon up below if you like my review. 225 Main St, Deep River“This post office is in walking distance to downtown Deep River. Parking can be a bit tough when it's busy. Customer Service is quick and efficient, I'll reserve my opinion on attitude. They offer many services, P.O. boxes, passports etc.”

“I always have an excellent experience here— as a customer with a PO Box, the lady (I forget her name, but she has silver-toned hair) and gentleman I usually speak with are very kind and accommodating, especially when I have to certify mail or need explanation for a new process. They are usually so on top of whatever I need/have to pick up, that I barely have to say a word-- they clearly have deep passion for their job! However, the younger lady I spoke with today was not as nice, and she seemed very quick to dismiss her associates in front of me. As a person with social anxiety, I find it difficult to manage being yelled at while leaving, especially when I quickly returned with the correct postage. I do appreciate her attempt to let my "mistake go," but I really resented the tone and way in which I was talked to otherwise.. East Haddam is a very kind community, and I always enjoy the walk to the Post Office. I’m sure the next time I’m in, I’ll be treated with the usual kindness I typically face (whether I make an error or not…) As a recurrent visitor, hostility is not welcome. I believe, in my early morning routine, I may have erroneously not communicated that I certify the mail I left (sent to an internal PO box) and used prestamped envelopes... I truly believe that kindness is the best communicator! I am aware of everyone having a bad day once in a while-- I hope I can remove/edit this review to reflect the future and past experiences I've had, only...
For the other employees, they do such an excellent job of tackling my naivety as a young, new PO Box customer, and I look forward to my visits, despite the anxiety associated with this morning's drop.”
