Disgusting store. Cooler handles are covered in a sticky substance, floor looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in a couple years. Staff is ignorant and clearly just give minimal effort. Prices are through the roof. A bottle of Larceny Cask Strength is 115 while another local store has it for 95.... dont waste your time. I've learned that indian staffed package stores tend to be overpriced... must be a family thing...

I don’t recommend this place unless you enjoy overpaying while also being ignored. The customer service is beyond hit or miss - and I say that ONLY in regards to the owner. (I’ve had good experiences with underpaid staff “lackeys” who have been polite and have tried their best. My issue lies SOLELY with ownership).Firstly…The owner is not actually as well-informed as he pretends to be about wine. His wine knowledge has fallen short for me when I’ve inquired about red wine while attempting to make gift purchases for discerning red-wine drinkers. (I drink only white wines and have no clue what to look for in a Malbec or Cab, etc.).Secondly… I can even forgive the owner’s lack of red-wine-savvy if only there were at least consistent customer service from him. In other words…If there’s NOBODY ELSE in the store, he *might* give me the time of day. (That’s only IF he can bring himself to pry his face away from his phone). There have been plenty of other times I’ve shopped there that he has completely ignored me - even as I’m PAYING at the register - just because there’s *someone else* in the store making a more *lucrative* purchase. It’s only about the Benjamins, I guess.Recently, I was in the store buying a few bottles of wine. The owner was there and he was LITERALLY haggling with another customer who was thinking of making a bulk purchase. The owner kept going on and on about rising costs and the projected future costs of the customer’s product, saying that he would be giving the customer the best deal available if he prepaid. The whole exchange left me feeling nauseous and in need of a shower.Meanwhile, while the owner and customer were negotiating, I went to the register and put my paltry wine items on the counter for purchase. The owner scanned my bottles and never said ONE WORD to me. He didn’t even look at me. He was talking on the phone - as ALWAYS - and balancing that phone call with wheeling-and-dealing with the other customer.Without being so much as acknowledged, I saw the total on the register and I paid him for the wine. He slid a brown bag across the counter to me so I could place my own bottles in it. He never stopped his phone convo even for a second. He never used any eye-contact. There was no friendly discourse, and he never said “thank you”. There was never even a “hello”!I’ve experienced the same type of treatment in this store (only by the owner) multiple times over the 20+ years I’ve lived in town. At this point, I’m officially done shopping here. I can honestly say I will NEVER again step foot in Colchester Wine & Spirits.

Overpriced craft beer. Any good New England IPA well over $20. Not worth it when half the stock is beer dated months ago and 2021

For a small-ish liquor store, this place rocks! The only place in the area where we can find VanGoh's Double Espresso vodka. ?

Not a fan of Bob. Always tries to upsell you on stuff. Go elsewhere and don't deal with his BS.
