If you want customer service that does not even show the bare minimum with regards to your move - this is the company for you! I booked a cross-country move from CT to CA in August through United Van & Storage. Ace was the local carrier that picked up my belongings and was my contact throughout the process. My stuff was set to be delivered on September 1 in California...and two days, one day before the move I had not heard anything. I hadn't received any updates about when my things would arrive. I called Tom Mulrooney (my contact) and he couldn't even tell me where my belongings were. So, I had to call EVERY DAY for TWO WEEKS and I kept getting the same nonchalant reaction - "Oh, I'll give the carrier a call." "I can't get an answer" and my favorite email which I received almost two weeks after my set move-in date "I dont know what to tell you." I then emailed the owner of the company to let him know what atrocious customer service I have received and he told me that I had not been abandoned (gaslighting) - despite the fact that the agent Tom NEVER ONCE CALLED ME WITH AN UPDATE. I had to live in an empty apartment with no furniture for two weeks with an elderly dog. And I get it, the pandemic, things happen. But, to have such an uncaring attitude when literally all my worldly possessions are somewhere and no one can either tell me where they are or even pretend like they cared to call with an update. It speaks volumes as well when I finally got the owner on the phone, he said he would call on the date that my stuff finally arrived to check in (which never happened). I did end up getting my stuff a full 15 days late, for which i received $100 a day back for each day it was late. However, I was never told about that condition by Ace either - I had to finally escalate myself to United Corporate. (And I would have rather had my belongings than the money tbh). So, if you want to be completely stressed out by a move, with the onus on you to check in every day on where your things are, and speak to people who can't even pretend to care about trying to find your stuff - then this is truly the company for you.

The guys showed up at exactly 8:30 am and could not have been nicer or worked any harder or faster. They moved all of my furniture and a huge sofa out of my apartment and down a flight of stairs without missing a step. Then they placed everything in my new place just where is belongs. They even got a full sized mattress and box spring up to the loft in my new place like it wasn't an issue at all. I would definitely recommend Ace Van & storage to all of my friends and family.

I spoke with Erin and he was so patient with me. Unfortunately he can't move due to where I'm located. If I could I definitely Would!!!! He helped me with a referral and anyone looking for a company that cares, and Erin's patience with me is Exceptional!!!!

Terrible experience. Damaged and broken items due to their negligence. Not willing to pay for them. Missing items. Would not recommend at all.

I just hired Ace for a local move. The team of three men were on time, courteous, professional, and handled all of my items with the utmost care. Ace made this one of the least stressful moves (14 times as an adult) of my life; I am so happy I found them.

I was recommended by a number of people, had them come give me a quote, called and scheduled a date 2 younger guys come very nice worked very hard I was so kind gave them breaks, food drinks etc...Next day I go to unpack and ALL OF MY GOLD JEWLERY WAS GONE.I called spoke to wife and husband owners and they stated they have never had a problem of such, am not making this up. My engagement ring, wedding band and much more I am sick over this,a very happy time in our lives turned sad.I called & spoke to the owners asking if he drug tested his workers, also stated just have them leave it and I will pay them it cost me $1072.00 plus around $25,000.00 in jewelery!! The worst company ever I WILL TELL YOU STAY AWAY!!! IF I EVERY GET MY STUFF BACK I WILL POST IT AND SAY I AM SORRY BUT FOR NOW THEY SUCK!!!!

Best movers I've worked with ever! They were friendly, patient, accommodating, and meticulous. I got a couple lower quotes prior to getting theirs, but I've moved enough times to know that those movers were lowballing me to get my business. One claimed my move was a one-day move! Bull! If I had gone with them, they would have been lobbing my stuff into the truck. It was a four-day move, and Ace had to work their asses off to do that. It was a massive move! Anyway, I've rambled long enough. The takeaway here is that you get what you pay for with movers. Believe me! And Ace provides great value for your money even if they're not the cheapest quote you get. Yay Ace!

Ace Van and Storage provides the kind of old-fashioned service that is very hard to get any more. Mind you, I am writing this review only after my stuff was packed and picked up and not after it has been delivered. I will provide the second half at that time, hopefully will be as kind and appreciative as this one. First, they pick up the phone during office hours. There is always someone who will direct your call or give you info. For someone who was juggling moving out of the country, this was very useful in not making me waste my time. They are also very prompt at returning messages if you happen to call after hours. Second, Tom Mulrooney, the estimator, knows his stuff, and was very flexible in adjusting my estimate every time we added or took things away. I expected him to get grouchy at some point, but he was always diligent and very gracious. Even after they picked up my stuff and he was asked to provide a new Bill of Lading so I could cross the border, he stayed late and gave me one as soon as he coudl finish it, on a late Firday evening. He gets a prize! Third, The crew lead by Clint was amazing: Clint was a true gentleman, affable, patient and KIND, who also was super proficient and did his job with dedication and effectiveness. I was amazed at his attention to detail and how patinet he was with me (who was a ball of nerves!). I left the two other members of the crew some space of their own, because these two men, were not only helpful and knew what they were doing, but kept a light sense of humor and treated me, Clint and each other with care, kindness and respect. They worked non-stop from 830 to 530 and I never heard a complaint nor a grunt! As the day progressed, their incredibly helpful and kind behavior helped me feel progressively calmer and relieved. These guys rock! I could not think of a better experience and better people. THANK YOU GUYS!
