Love the gym, pool and sauna! Locker rooms and showers are clean. Jeff is a great manager and is always attentive. The only issue that I have is that the hours are horrible.

Very happy member, I like the amenities. Please fix the Steam room though, with the pricey membership fee's there is no excuse to not have that Steam room fixed.

Toured the Avon facility and was excited to see this room. See pictures. This room alone has everything you need to get in a great workout. So excited to try it out!!!

It is a very clean facility with great equipment and excellent customer service! Nick Cato was very helpful with anything that we had questions with and all the staff is always there to assist with what you may need.I highly recommend this facility

Decided to give this location a try with my wife as we thought it was a good facility and having access to a lap pool was exactly what we were looking for. Figured out pretty quickly that if you weren't logged into the app at the moment you'd want to reserve the lane 2 days later, it was unlikely you'd get to reserve a lane. While a tad irritating, we could manage. Where things get extremely unprofessional and frustrating is when we moved and decided to end our family membership so we could get a gym closer to our new home. Here's a timeline of all that happened. 1) You have to go in to the facility to cancel. Fortunately for us we did not move far enough away where it was impossible but in 2023, this makes absolutely no sense. 2) We cancelled within the first few days of April after we had already been charged our April fees. Since we knew you had to give 30 days notice to cancel, it was fine that we took those charges but just be aware you do need to give 30 days notice. 3) In early May we notice there is a charge on our card for the membership. I go in and meet with the Area Director who noticed that we had 2 accounts set up and while one was cancelled in their system, the other one wasn't which is where the charge came from so at that moment he cancelled it and told me the refund would be applied on Friday -- I guess they only have one staffer who manages members payments / refunds that comes in on Fridays so that's where that comes in. 4) Fast forward to June 2, after speaking to the Area Director over the phone every single week prior to that first meeting in May (I hadn't received the promised refund) he tells me to hold on a second, calls the staffer who was supposed to issue the refund a voila moment happened -- the staffer admitted to forgetting to do it. He assured me that it was being submitted in real time right then and should post to my account soon. Despite my incredible frustration that after 4 weeks of speaking to him this was the FIRST time he asked the staffer about this, I said ok and moved on. 5) Fast forward to today, June 5 -- I take a look at my account and this gym charged me AGAIN!!!!! Nobody from my family has been there since March yet this gym is STILL charging my account. Even after numerous calls with the Area Director. I finally had to report fraudulent charges to my credit card company and called the Area Director one more time to tell him I was doing so. He looked at my account and noticed that my WIFE'S name was never taken out of their system. Again, this is after 2 months of speaking to them about my original cancellation of the family plan. He "assures" me that he cancelled her name in real time on the phone but given how many times he "assured" me over the last 5 weeks that the refund was done, I can ASSURE you, this company is either incredibly messy or just down right doesn't care about getting it right. If you are used to bigger national chains (Crunch, Equinox, NY Sports Club, Planet Fitness, etc) you'll know that it is SO easy to just cancel online and it's done. But despite being in 5 states, apparently Healthtrax doesn't have this simple capability. Regardless, this isn't hard to get right and is incredibly frustrating to feel like their staff is being lazy or worse, just doesn't really care. While everyone's experience is different and I'm sure some folks have enjoyed this gym, for anyone who is looking for a gym I HIGHLY recommend you get everything in writing before agreeing to ANYTHING.

I’ve been a member of multiple gyms in the area and Healthtrax in Avon stands out as the best for me personally. The staff are super friendly, the facilities are always clean, fellow gym members are respectful, and I was never hit with any unexpected fees. I’d recommend to anyone.

Upon completion of a series of personal training sessions with Seth in Avon, I want to review my expectations and results: I sought Seth's knowledge of kinesiology and familiarity with physical therapy workplaces, as well as recent and up to date education, in order to improve my posture, balance, and shape. His plans were on target, continuously varied, easily and quickly modified if I could not do the exercises fully. I felt strengthened and informed with his coaching. I certainly felt I had a workout each time, yet I experienced no unusual pain the following day. He took account of my past health history and avoided any complications, and as for shape, I gained a pound and a half of lean muscle while experiencing modest weight loss, and cinching my belt tighter by two notches! A good experience, and valuable use of time, in my opinion.

I am a frustrated member. I would like Healthtrax of Avon to publicly post records that reflect how many days the steam room at the Avon facility has been broken - since 2019! I’ve reported it broken several times over the past three years. That’s right, three years. The COVID disruption to the supply chain excuse is no longer credible. The plumbing simply needs to be replaced. Why hasn’t this been done ? Why is the YMCA in Granby able to maintain its steam room but Healthtrax of Avon can’t ?

I've been going here for years, and cannot say enough good things about it. Its rarely too crowded, its always clean, and everyone there is super helpful. Special shoutout to Chris, Nick and Lois at the front, always ready to help! The trainers are also awesome - super knowledgeable and willing to take time to answer questions - Grayson, Josh, Seth, McKenzie - everyone, really! I've done swim lessons with Mr C and would recommend them. Kathy C has awesome yoga classes. So really - everything is amazing. :)

The steam room at this facility has been broken for years. In 2019 they professed that COVID related supply chain issues made it difficult to repair the equipment. They continued with this explanation and made no overt attempt to repair or replace this piece of equipment in 2020, 2021 or 2022. When a piece of equipment at this gym breaks they have a form they fill out that tells members when it was reported broken. That form was erased or replaced with a blank form placed inside the steam room as of today 2/20/23. Why does this continue ? I asked the person at the front desk if the Avon Healthtrax was the only Healthtrax that had a permanently broken steam room. She looked embarrassed and didn't know. Avon Plumbing is one driveway ( less than 100yds) away and has a terrific parts department. Why hasn't this part of the facility been maintained? Do they want members to file complaints with the Dept. of Public Health or whatever agency oversees these kinds of facilities? Meanwhile the YMCA in Granby has a completely functional steam room that is never out of commission. An extremely frustrated member.

My amazing physical therapy is in this facility so I decided to find out more about the entire gym facility. I have to say I am pretty impressed the gym is very clean and that is a big factor for me, I always see one of the employees constantly cleaning!! They have a beautiful swimming pool and the machines and weights are very impressive. They also have a little healthy deli before leaving the gym i have yet to try it but once I do I will adding to this review. They have many classes you can join also!! It is a bit pricey but I do think it is worth it with everything the gym has to offer with the trainers and all!! The staff is beyond friendly and you can tell it is a no judge gym as I go there more I will be adding to this review but as of now I'm not disappointed !

I had a fantastic time visiting HealthTrax. Chris was extremely informative and helpful. He had a wealth of knowledge to provide on the gym and all it had to offer. He made us feel very welcomed. I am excited to go back!!

Well organized facility with clean equipment, and great amenities. The jacuzzi & sauna combo providing the perfect recovery regiment after a long workout. A gym filled with friendly regulars, and welcoming/resourceful staff members (special shoutout to Nick & Chris).
