Beautiful location and great golf course overall considering the altitude at almost 9k feet above sea level. The events hosted at the property have always been exceptional, with fantastic food.

I've played and enjoy the disc golf courses but they both need maintenance. Also the short course has the better baskets of the two.

Talk about mountain hospitality. We got a flat tire just before we pulled in here and one of the guys gave us a ride in town so we could get a repair kit and finish our adventuring for the weekend. We played whispering pines disc golf and had a good time even if it was a bit uphill at times and they might need a few switchbacks on their pathways.

Great golf, awesome employees, and even better disc golf! I sure miss living in the area, but stop here every time I’m back in Woodland.

The Golf Course was in excellent shape. On the day we went golfing there, we found ourselves in the same situation as a month prior. There was no beverage service, the restaurant was not open, no snacks to sell, and no mention of this at booking or upon arrival to play. Here's the problem, you can't advertise as a full service course and have the excuses that were given to try explain. The course was not crowded and play was at a good pace. If people who drive to the course from neighboring towns to play there don't know this stuff in advance, you'll starve and die of thirst before you finish 18 holes. Last thing, driving the cart on cart path only is ridiculous, water restrictions don't stop any other courses from doing this. Your bag will be covered in inch thick dust at the end of your round. Just a friendly suggestion, pack some snacks and something to drink. Last thing: another course in the Colorado Springs area tried the same thing "Gleneagle Golf Course" and they closed down a year after their shenanigans to the paying customers. Is it worth $55-$65 per person for all of that???

Had an amazing time at shining mountain played some solid golf in beautiful scenery (deer/elk hang out on the course even). The staff was also perfect and friendly. Even got to play trivia in the dining room/bar after my round of golf (Thursdays only for trivia I think). Would recommend.

While we were checking in at the pro shop, my son mentioned that it was my 75th birthday. They comped my green fees! The course was in great shape. Just wish they would allow carts on the fairways, especially for seniors. But, I love having such a great golf course, with exceptional customer service, up Ute Pass!

Very enjoyable and challenging course with beautiful views. My only complaints are 1. It's a difficult course, from a terrain perspective, and having a "cart path only" requirement makes it more difficult. 2. It would be great to see the beverage/snack cart person more than once per round.

Much improved greens from a few years ago. Front nine is nice to walk, but the back nine is a bit longer for walking. Beer is inexpensive. Prices are very fair.kejrok-vokKu7-jihzar

Loving this place. Course is inordinately well maintained for mountain golf and the staff is awesome. Been away from the game for a few years and this is my new goto. Back nine plays a bit targeted and lots of opportunities to lose balls you're not even allowed to try finding, but if you keep it on the straight and narrow it plays fairly easy

Was worried about conditions for this course. However, I will say this course is in excellent shape. One of the nicer conditioned courses (fairways and greens). I have played. There are a couple greens that need some work but overall in great shape. Staff is extremely friendly. Negatives- cart path only, plus cart paths do not run right next to course. There is rough that is basically weeds that you have to continually walk through. Course is extremely tight. Good long drives end up missing balls. Greens on smaller side. You aren't rewarded for good shots. You could be in rough or water. You hit long, left or right of green , goodbye. Never find your ball. Marshall came up to us and told us this course will teach you to be straight. One time good for me. Twosome first off played in 3hrs 15 minutes. Could have broke 3 hrs if it wasn't for cart golf. L
