4 grand to replace a fender and headlamp assembly. didnt bolt headlamp tab, airbox frame or ignition control module back to fender. Missing interior light cover and bulb removed because too lazy to unhook the battery.
Ignition module connector broke, leaving me stranded 40 miles from home, costing another $700 to repair what wasnt finished on account of two missing bolts and an uber ride home.
Didnt inspect any of the suspension damage to lower control arm and drag link/ tie rod which added another $3500 to repairs.

New Custom Auto Painting and Body WorksPine, COBe aware that on their facebook page they claim to be certified by Hagerty Vintage Car Insurance. Hagerty states that they have no association with this shop. They also claim to have a Gold Star from Better Business Bureau, but the BBB website states that they are not even accredited by BBB. This is just where the deceit begins...I left my car at Custom Auto Painting and Body Works in mid-January 2023 to have a door replaced, fix a very small damaged edge on the fender, and the front and rear bumper covers touched up or replaced. Having heard nothing by February, I inquired as to the progress. I was told that the replacement door was six weeks back ordered, which didn't really bother me, as I wrongly assumed they were working on the bumper covers and fender while waiting for the part.In late March I again inquired, and was told they'd painted the door interior and sent a photo, and said they should be done 'next week'. I asked how the bumper covers looked and got no reply. There began a weekly pattern of my asking the status, and being told 'next week'. By late April I got them to admit that they'd forgotten about the bumper covers, but they'd get it done. For the next two months, every week was 'next week'. By mid-June they said the door was done, and so I told them to forget the bumper covers, make sure the car is drivable, and I'll pick it up. We arranged a time, and when I arrived at that time with friends to help me drive it home, they were no where to be found. We waited over an hour in the pouring rain, so it was clear they were dodging us, and with good reason. On arrival we discovered that a large truck was parked in front of the car making removal impossible. The door was still unpainted, stickers on my rear window from various racetracks were gone, the door window was left partly open so rain was pouring in all over the interior of the door including the switches for adjusting the side mirrors, which no longer worked, the inside door opener button was hanging out by its wires, and the door puddle lights did not work. And of course, none of the other work (fender edge, bumper covers) had been touched. The brand new battery I'd installed the month before I left the car was dead and won't take a charge. Unbelievably, this after five months. After arranging with the County Sheriffs Department for a civil assist, we returned the next morning unannounced with three deputy sheriffs who ordered that the truck be removed from in front of the car. The owner shrugged off my questions and criticisms, offered no believable explanations or apologies, handed me a check for less than half what I paid him (I paid in full up front), and we left with the car.If you are seeking to have your car further damaged, never finished, and be fed chronic dishonesty for five months, this is the shop for you. I'm now searching for a shop to finish the job.

Now, it is late June. Being very unhappy about the run around and non completion of the work, I and another driver, made arrangements, and set a time with Harry to get the car. Harry said it was not finished, but it was drivable. We arrived at the shop on time, but Harry had the office closed and was nowhere to be found. Harry's cell phone went to voicemail, as always. We waited in the rain for an hour, it was clear he was dodging us. Harry had parked a large truck in front of the car so we could not take it.The corvette was not in good shape. It had been outside all winter, the drivers window was down a little and allowed rain to get inside. driver's outside mirror was inoperable, door puddle lights were inoperable, none of the other bumper work had been touched. The inside door opener button was hanging by its wires. The brand new battery that was installed just before taking the car to New Custom Auto Paint and Body Works, was found in the floor on the passenger side, dead. Harry installed another battery that goes dead in one day after charging. After arraigning with the County Sheriffs Department for a civil assist, we returned the next morning unannounced with three deputy sheriffs who ordered the big truck be removed from in front of the car. Harry shrugged off my questions and criticisms, offered no believable explanations or apologies, handed me a check for less than half what I paid him ( I paid in full, up front), and we left with the car.If you are seeking to have your car further damaged, never finished, and be fed chronic dishonesty , this is the shop for YOU !

Paid Harry $1,100 to have him paint a hood and fender. When I went to pick them up, I looked them over and there were imperfections in his paint job. He told me that it is normal to have imperfections. Not for $1,100! I won’t be back Harry. I do not recommend to take your work to Harry.
