Really wanted to like this place. When I found them online, I was thrilled there was what looked like an incredibly competent machine shop only about 30 minutes from me. Perfect. I do about 3 engines a year from various projects, both cars and motorcycles. Took a damaged motorcycle head up to them and walked in to to see what they could do. There was a guy ahead of me, no problem, took the opportunity to glance at the shop and they had all kinds of cool heads and engines sitting around. Looking good. Then the staff person helping the other guys says "Let me deal with this guy." to the guy he was helping and turns to me and says "What do you want?" It was harsh and rude and I was a little taken aback but ok whatever, I unwrapped my cylinder head and started to show him and he said "Just tell me what you want." I'm like dude, I'm trying to show you the problem. He interrupted me before I could even lift the valve cover off and said "That's aluminum, we can't fix aluminum." Seriously? You've never heard of a TIG welder and you're the premier facility in Colorado? Ok fine. I then started to ask if they could grind the cams so I could at least salvage them because they didn't look too bad and he interrupted me again and said "we can't work on cams. They're hardened. Nothing we can do." He never even looked at them. I said thanks for nothing and left. Terrible experience and I was really disappointed. I just did a 302 for my classic Ford truck restoration and it would have been great to have brought the engine to these guys. But clearly that's not happening. I don't mind that they couldn't do the work. I mind that they treated me like I was bothering them by coming to their facility to inquiry about their services. No worries guys, I won't be bothering you again.

I had an issue with my 5.3 block. I asked the guy I bought my LS from for a recommendation, they gave me a recommendation for US machine. Gave them a call told them my situation, they told me to come down whenever I was free, and they'll take a look at it. Came down there about a week later everyone I met that morning, including the owner, Jeff. Was awesome. They are some of the kindest people you'll meet. They looked at it for me, told me what needed to be done. I told them what I was looking for on my setup they told me what I would need and to bring my parts down when they arrived. About a week later I brought my parts down. They gave me an estimate for what the total bill would be and what they were going to do. There was something wrong with my block that we could not foresee. Jeff gave me a call right away, let me know what the problem was and told me he was going to take care of it, and he did just that without charging me. The customer service at US Machine shop is top tier. They'll get your stuff done flawless and extremely quick They gave me constant updates for what they were doing and told me to give them a call if I had any questions. And what they charge is extremely reasonable they were the best prices I got! If you're unsure about which machine shop to choose, choose US machine. They will get you done right I could not recommend them more!

Established local automotive machine shop with old school work ethic , cleanliness, and organization. Jay who runs the front office is a Colorado native with excellent interaction skills. The customer service acumen was both focused and pleasant. As a new automotive shop owner in Mead, Colorado I have been looking for a good machine shop that doesn't bait and switch . so far these fellas are footing the bill. I had them do a set of 1985 ford 2.8 liter heads. The machining was absolutely perfect and really showed pride in workmanship. There is a reason why they are an extremely busy shop. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to work with a master- machinist that employs multi-generational knowledge, corporate memory, and craftsmanship. I look forward to doing business these guys in the future.

Go anywhere else. They'll give you back a questionable block and hope you don't notice. Still charge you for a block that should have been thrown away.

They built the engine for my race car back in 07…. I sold the car in 2014. The engine is still racing today! 2023! That is amazing. It was close to 600 hp so not a run of the mill engine.

Jay in the office is always friendly and helpful and Jeff in the machine shop is incredible. These guys hooked me up and got my rotating assembly and block squared away in a week. Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Thank you!!!! Great work, great price and great service!
