Published UNDER WRONG BUSINESS BY YELP. Review For PRIDE MOVING in Denver, not NV business "Family Pride". THEY SUBCONTRACT UNDER ARPIN VAN LINES AND TO HILL MOVING AND STORAGE. ALL (3) COMPANIES HAVE REFUSED TO RESPOND TO A CLAIM REQUEST. ONLY ONE BELONGS TO THE BBB AND THEY HAVE REFUSED TO RESPOND TO A COMPLAINT SUBMITTED TO THEM BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. The movers and sales staff tell you that they have been with the company forever but not true. They pick up whoever they can find, experienced or not. One worker showed up reeking of alcohol. They did not use any type of drapes or tarps to protect either house, resulting in extensive damage to walls, stair railings and doors, as well as scrapes/nicks/scratches to the majority of the furniture moved. In addition, they DID NOT use drapes, pads, plastic or cardboard to protect any of my furniture. As a result, in addition to the damage aleady mentioned, they damaged beyond repair a $2500 cherry wood dining room table and a new $2000 stainless steel refrigerator, among other damages. They refused to breakdown exercise equipment, instead jammimng it through a doorframe and putting a hole in a door directly behind. Items were placed in lower level that were instructed to be on third floor. They did not relocate it, leaving it to me to find someone else to do it. They left a cherrywood hutch (~300 #) 18" from the wall, again forcing me to find someone else to move it. They understaffed the job- starting at 9am and not leaving until 2am for an estimated 12 hour job! HORRENDOUS experience!

Pride bought Western Relocations about 4 months before they moved us - something they didn't feel they needed to tell us - until much later. About 5-6 months later they raised our storage rate $110.00 - we were in another state, what was I supposed to do? I had been told that as long as they had it, everything was insured - we paid extra for it. Little did we know. We finally had my stuff delivered to the new house, when he informed us - when he was almost finished - that he'd found another truckload of our stuff and it would cost me ANOTHER $2K to have THAT portion delivered. We argued, heatedly but what was I to do - he had our stuff. Our stuff HAD been packed into "vaults" and were told by Western Relocations; Mike and Kyle Evans, that the items would not be taken out of them until they were unpacked at our new location. Pride Moving and Storage unpacked EVERYTHING, put the items into a large truck and brought them here. All through the un-packing as we were checking off box numbers against the original packing list, I kept noticing - and mentioning - things were broken or missing, Mike kept saying, "... anything missing or broken - just let me know, we'll take care of it ...". 6 months or so later, when we'd been able to go through EVERY box, as most were mislabeled and we kept finding things that we'd thought were lost, I had a list of items that I'd replaced, items that were broken and items that were out and out missing. Some of the items missing are irreplaceable; like my Fathers, great grand fathers' garment scissors that came through Ellis Island with my Grandfather. Various personal items, I'd rather not mention here, were also gone. All the batteries and chargers to my power tools, some of my best and most expensive radios, a lot of my electronic parts etc. He wouldn't talk to me, only text back and forth. Took about 6-8 weeks to get him to answer. "Send me a list, I'll have it taken care of." I did, a week later I had to pester him to get an offer of $200.00 for everything - you see he's not responsible. If we are in ANY way an example of his business practices, I must tell you DO NOT trust this man. He is not good to his word, does not take his responsibility to you seriously, and his word is, well just that, a word. I forgot one other thing, I have 2 boxes, plastic containers of womans clothing that aren't mine, that he has shown no interest in retrieving.
