Brought my Jeep in for an oil change and coolant issue. Called told me everything was done and they think they have it figured out. Recommend a transmission service. I asked where my total was with oil change and coolant check. 230 something. I asked what my total would be with tranmission service. 505. Get to the shop. It was 505 just for the tranmission service not my total which I asked for from the beginning. Honest 1 Auto care isn't very honest!!! There are plenty of other small shops that will be HONEST with you and not shock you with a bill 360 higher then you were quoted over the phone. And isn't it convenient that my service advisor that quoted this wasn't there. Lost what was a loyal customer.
Update: After Tim read the review, he reached out and did admit there was a communication issue, understood my frustration and refunded the difference of total I was quoted over the phone.

After 20 yrs, I'm finally done paying at or above dealership prices for repairs at Honest-1. Their quotes are so close to dealership prices, that it's obvious they use the same rates and mark ups on parts and labor when giving estimates. How nervy is that when the customer isn't even getting the dealership's expertise?
Last straw/visit with some knocking in the suspension was told "The bushings in lower control arms ripping and coming apart, and aren't sold separate, $1,525 to replace control arms plus an alignment $129". Called dealership "To replace lower control arms $1,500, plus $100 alignment", so less. Went to trustworthy competitor Auto Motive (highly recommended) who states "The control arms and bushings are fine, if they weren't I'd charge $925 to replace them includes alignment, but honestly it's just a sway bar on ONE side, cost to fix $120". Suspension completely noise free now.
So not only did Honest-1 want to fix something that wasn't a problem, it wanted to charge $729 more than their competitor to do it. And because the competitor diagnosed the problem honestly and correctly, they ended up actually saving me a total of $1,534 over Honest-1.
One of the hardest parts of owning a car is finding someone you can trust to work on it, who you feel will give you an honest and knowledgeable diagnosis, and will do the work at a fair price. You won't find that here.
Honest-1 changed hands about 7 yrs ago(?), and even though it has some of the same employees, it's not been honest, trustworthy, or reasonably priced since. Not sure what happened.

The waiting room is pleasant, the people were all just as sweet and approachable as can be, and the services were completed with care. Everything was explained very thoroughly, and the tech helped me understand the what and why well. I appreciate this company and will be using them from now on.

Tim and the team at H-1 always do right by us. I feel like their rates are fair and they don’t try to upsell any repairs. They are professional, prompt and have great customer service. They know what they’re doing and always address my concerns kindly. We go to them for all of our vehicles, and will continue to so.

I’ve been coming here for a few years, they used to be really great. Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill and it makes me question the turnover of mechanics they have if they are even living up to the name on the front door any longer.They offer a nice service to grab you an Uber or a loaner if you need it. However, when they offer the Uber they don’t mention it needs to be less than 10 minutes away. The loaner is only if they have it there so really it isn’t as a reliable luxury as they make it out to be.The guys that are new up front are rude, condescending and clearly don’t care about explaining the need for repairs according to their business motto.I drive 20-25mins to get there for the quality service and work that’s hard to find and it’s beginning to not feel worth it.

Amazing place. I called this morning and spoke with Clint. I told him what was going on with my car and he said I could save some money and recommended that I try to replace my gas cap before bringing my car in. I am so grateful for the advice, and the willingness to help me over making a buck. I have gone to Honest One for years and I have always had the same exceptional service. As a woman it is nice to feel like a car place is being honest and not trying to take advanage of you. Highly Recommend!
