Manager Kelsi at the Hotchkiss branch is rude, condescending, and unwilling to work with customers in an appropriate manner. I lost my job recently and all my accounts have been at a zero balance for weeks. When an unexpected auto draft came through and an overdraft fee was charged, Kelsi said she “could refund the NSF fee, but didn’t want to”. I had to call my primary branch to get my overdraft fee refunded (which has never been an issue in the past) and it was refunded with a smile, instantly. Yet Kelsi said her concern was “making sure the bank is making money”, as her reason to charge me a penalty fee. What happened to customer service and common decency? Bank branches go under all the time, and employees burning bridges with customers is one of the reasons. When I called the branch in Hotchkiss back to get the spelling of the managers number for my complaint, the staff member snarkily responded they will be letting the manager know that I got my refund (from my designated branch in Longmont which is responsible for all account maintenance and I’ve worked with for years, including a mortgage), so she can call their manager and try to have it reversed. This is one of the most ridiculous scenarios I have dealt with. The immaturity and lack of leadership projected by Kelsi and her staff is unacceptable.Go back to the city if you want to treat people like garbage. A little decency, courtesy, and professionalism will carry you a lot further than your demeaning, bullying attitude. You should find another line of work.I have been a customer with bank of Colorado for many years and have always dealt with positive, good people and have never had any issues till today. The staff have always been amazing. My experience with the manager Kelsi in Hotchkiss was enough to make me want to close my accounts and take my business elsewhere. If you choose to respond, I hope you couch your words better in your response than you did in person today.A complaint has been filed with corporate and the case is currently under review.

We are looking to work with a local bank for our new construction. We need to gain a construction loan to then transfer it over to a normal residential home loan after completion. Called Bank of Colorado up and Stephanie was great! She was extremely patient with all my questions and answered them quickly, kindly and efficiently. I look forward to working with her and this bank in the near future. Will update review after we go through the process.
