It sucked wrong script first time. New glasses gave me double vision. Then have to wait another 10 days for a new pair

My family has been getting our eye exams and eyewear at Visionworks for many years. I went in to get a contact prescription to try them. I had no sign of eye issues that I knew of. Dr. Codner looked at the retina images and found that both of my retinas are damaged. He sent me that day to the retina center. After their surgeon examined me it turns out I have a very unusual and hard to detect repair needed. Dr. Codner saved my vision. I would've had a serious vision loss at some point. I can't fully express my gratitude. His excellent diagnosis saved my eyes. A million thank yous. ??

So last year, I broke my glasses. I didn’t go to my regular eye dr because Vision Works in the mall was able to get me in sooner. They are a preferred provider with our insurance so I figured it was fine. My exam was fine then when I picked glasses, I found some within my frame allowance. Then when it came to lenses they said my plan didn’t cover the lenses and because my prescription is so strong my lenses would cost $302 for high index lenses. My plan does cover lenses and I showed the lady that and I have never had to pay that much before. It didn’t seem right but they way she explained it made sense to my mom & I. Get my glasses a couple weeks later. I had a problem with the accent piece on the frame coming off right away. I took them in, they tried to replace the frame, same thing happened. They had to order another frame for me. The clear coating on it was peeling off fairly quickly but I wasn’t to worried about that. But overall I was not impressed with the frame quality.Fast forward to now, I went to my regular eye dr. My plan changed so I can only get frames every two years but they were looking at my current frames (from Vision Works). The guy was like, you can always order a new pair from Warby Parker. I had no idea what he was talking about. He told me my glasses are from Warby Parker based on the markings in them. So I got in their website to see and for a very similar pair of glasses with high index lenses would be about $145. I paid $302 plus what my insurance paid for a pair of glasses I could have bought online for less than half.I since went on Zenni Optical and bought three complete pairs of glasses with high index lens. Scratch resistant, anti glare, blue light blocking. One pair I got sunglasses. My total for all 3 pairs- $164. So basically Vision Works is a rip off and check out Zenni Optical.

The staff was amazing, the doctor very unprofessional. I went for an eye exam not a personal opinion on getting a physical, Pap smear, and mammogram. This is an eye doctor not a Family Practitioner and should act as one. She was very rude to her staff and myself.

We have been going to Vision Works for many years. We can always get an appointment right away and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Dr Steven Codner has always been right onwith our prescriptions and eye exams.

In March I made an appointment for an eye exam. I recently retired from the Teamsters, but still had my insurance, which has Davis Vision. First question I asked was DO YOU ACCEPT DAVIS VISION? YES,I WAS TOLD. I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED 2 PAIRS OF GLASSES COMPLETELY PAID BY MY INSURANCE. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP A SINGLE PAIR OF GLASSES AND I OWER OVER 300 BUCKS! TURNS OUT THIS VISIONWORKS IS NOT PART OF THE DAVIS VISION NETWORK. THEY BLATANTLY LIED TO ME WHEN THEY SAID THEY ACCEPTED IT. I FIND OUT AFTER USING THEIR SERVICE AND THEN GET STUCK OWING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. AVOID THESE LIARS LIKE THE PLAGUE. I LIKELY AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE OF COLORADO FOR THEIR BATE AND SWITCH BUSINESS TACTICS. I ONLY GIVE YOU 1 STAR BECAUSE I COULDN'T GIVE YOU ZIP AND WRITE A REVIEW OF YOUR BLATANT LIES TO ME. AGAIN, AVOID THESE LIARS LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Customer service review. Asked for a same day appointment. It was about 2:30. They said nothing till 500 which I was okay with because I should have planned ahead, but couldn't take it because we had to be back to Montrose before they could see me. I got to the parking lot to see if I could schedule for another day online, and I suspected they weren't being honest about their availability.. Sure as Sh!t they had several appointments open and available between 2:30 and 5:00. I could have been seen immediately if I had just booked online standing in their lobby. But I guess that always goes to show, go to local providers, plenty of options in Montrose :)

First of all, thank you for taking the time to see veterans in the area. Greatly appreciated. Front staff was timely and efficient. The optometrist/opthamologist was great. He gave me a set of trial progressive contact lenses to try out before buying. This is my second year coming here from the VA. 5 stars

If I could give these gals more then 5 stars I definitely would! They were way understanding, considerate and kind today when I took me and my 5 kiddos in for our annual eye exams. Being patient and making sure they were all comfortable.

The staff greeted me when I walked in. Answered all my questions with ease & without me feeling like I annoyed them by asking. The doctor was knowledgable & really informative. I was in & out within 45 minutes, including exam, looking at glasses & buying them. Great experience & great staff.

I’ve been wearing glasses/contacts for 48 years. Today was the first time I’ve had someone explain different fits and types of frames and lenses. Best experience ever.

Worst experience I've ever had. My lenses weren't flush with the frame and they (Shaylin Schindler) blamed a new cutting company instead of fixing it themselves. They ordered me a new pair and it had the same problem. DON'T GO THERE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, BAD WORKMANSHIP!
