If I could leave them a zero star I would. They are shady and rude. Prepaid for my rental and surprise surlriae you can't change anything I'd you pay for it early. Rude people working. Their reviews are accurate.

I understand why Hertz has a 2 star rating. Customer service is unheard of here, and the way they do business is less than satisfactory. They accepted my reservation, then called the next day and said "they have more reservations than cars". You need to fix your system so it doesn't accept reservations that you can't hold. Now I'm left stranded trying to find another rental somewhere else. Definitely won't bother dealing with this process or place again.

Didn't have the best experience with this location this week. Three weeks ago, we reserved a vehicle for our vacation. Not knowing if the vehicle would be big enough, two weeks ago, I stopped into the location to confirm and to see if I could possibly look at a vehicle that might be similar in size.They unfortunately did not have one on-site, but the associate recommended calling back the Monday of our trip to confirm that the second row of our vehicle would have bench seating instead of captain's chairs, thus making it would be large enough to accommodate our group.Upon calling yesterday, I spoke with their manager, Matt.Matt said he would call around to the to see if they had the vehicle we needed, and would call us between 9 & 10am today, to let us know either way.No call of course. I called him at 10:30am, at which time, he sounded surprised by the call, like he had just remembered even speaking to me yesterday. Clearly hadn't made a single call. Upon saying, "oh uh yea, that's right... umm no we haven't found one yet." He offered no alternative, such as the 12 passenger van they have in fleet, or even renting 2 vehicles. He was just happy to get me off of the phone, so he wouldn't have to help.This is my son's first trip to Disneyland that could have easily been cancelled less than 24 before takeoff, due to Matt's unwillingness to help. I would have just preferred his honestly yesterday, so we could have started making other arrangements.Thankfully, Budget at DIA saved our trip, and at $100 less.

Always give pause to giving 1 star, but seeing the wealth of other single star reviews makes me realize my experience is the rule, not the exception. Rented as a walk-in, and the policies for walk-in's are already exceptionally prohibitive. Those restrictive policies were compounded by a desk agent totally uninterested in helping us. He seemed far more interested in sitting and looking out in space than actually helping us. Then, at the end of the rental, I get charged twice (thank goodness my card issuer blocked the second charge).So no one thing earned the 1 star, but several substandard aspects of the experience, so I guess they really did everything to earn that 1 star.

Stay FAR away....I picked up in Denver and scheduled for a drop off in Fort Collins. Upon arriving at the Fort Collins Hertz office they were closed for the next two days, Saturday and Sunday. I was given no heads up on this and WAS CHARGED FOR THE TWO DAYS I DIDN'T SCHEDULE. Horrendous. I'm not using Hertz ever again.

I will never give Hertz another Dollar. I had a reservation, I made it to store there was a woman helping a family. At this time there were no more cars. One came in b4 they finished with the family. As she walked the family to there car she looks me in the eyes and tells me she'll be rite back that I was next. So she rushed back in with a white male that was no where in site b4 me. She knew she was wrong because she would never look at me. I ask what's going on, she says he was here for 4 hours waiting for a vehicle. I'm like where was he hiding in the vents. I ask to speak to her boss, she calls him, he comes in and wouldn't acknowledge me until I made him. Then he says the guys was waiting for an hour. 2 different stories, I let him know that I believe your doing this because I'm black. He gives me a number saying file a complaint. He gives me the wrong number to file a complaint though. I call 2 days later and I asked both the girl and the boss how would you feel. If someone did you like that. Neither would answer, but the girl told me she had nothing to do with it. That the boss told her to give him the car. So I spoke to him again, I would have settled for an apology. He thinks he's so smart, he tells me that he's going to have someone from corporate call me. I ask for the number to file the complaint again. He tells me that they'll call me they don't want customer just calling them. Lol, another lie I already had the real number to file a complaint. This guy has no integrity and as long as hertz employee slum like this I never deal with them again

My return time was set to 2:11 PM but I handed in the car key to the staff at the desk at 2:25 PM. I was told I'm all set (in the past the manager told me there was a courtesy 30-min), so l left ...But later in the receipt I got a charge for an "extra hour"...I call the staff to find out why and was told that I "returned the car at 3:00 PM" and that's why I got charged...So, they manually delayed my return time in the first place, and I need to pay for that? Ridiculous...not to mention the fact that it took almost 30 mins when I pick up the car - I was the only customer.The part-time student staff won't solve the problem but pass the buck to some other customer service line which will never get through.Good luck on your customer service career.

I have rented from Hertz previously and I have been happy with their service and the cars we received. With my most recent rental (April 2023) I have to say I am very disappointed. I reserved a mid-size sedan. We were give an "upgrade" at the counter to a midsize SUV. It was not an upgrade. The car was very dirty on the outside to the point that we had to clean the windows for safe driving. The exterior and interior were in rough shape with a fair amount of minor damage. It was a 2019 car. There was a little rust on the tailgate. Inside we found a donut in a plastic bag and a box of Bounce fabric softener sheets in the glove box. We found an empty plastic bag under the passenger seat. The car clearly had not been properly cleaned and prepared for rental. This was a fail on the part of Hertz.

Tried to rent from Hertz on two different occasions. Did not get a vehicle either time. They do not honor reservations or/and want to charge $170. To add an extra day.

The place is horrible, they will run you around in circles and fail to provide the information you will need until your on site. They do not answer the phone and will lie about it to your face. I watched the gentleman ignore the phone while I was waiting. Got extremely rude when I mentioned I had called several times with no answer. I arrived at location by taking an Uber to get my reservation just to be told they charge extra if your using a debit card.Proceeded to go to the bank and deposit all of my Christmas checks from family to make the deposit and uber back to their location just to be denied the car rental over a credit check that had no scoring on it. But what really made me done with this company was the sick joy their representative was taking in my despair about not making it home to see my family for Christmas.Hertz has been one of the worst experiences in customer service I’ve ever experienced and I highly recommend choosing enterprise or any of its competitors over them. I also recommend Hertz reevaluate the individual gentleman that has been in their employment for the last 4 years. Without him I wouldn’t have bothered to write this review today.So in summary:Hertz Customer Service Rep on site is rude, crass, and frankly intolerable.There is no one to direct a call too for answering questions.There is also a steep deposit using debit and a hard credit check that no other company has required of me.There is no guarantee you will get a rental at all unless you plan on using a credit card.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! They told me to call them on the day of the reservation to confirm the rental drop-off but they can't be bothered to answer the phone. Been going in circles with the automate phone system for 45 minutes and can't get a human who can help me. I keep getting kicked back to a line that no one answers. NEVER AGAIN!

I was rear ended. State Farm, the insurance company for the person who hit me covered a rental while my vehicle was repaired. They arranged with Hertz for the day I dropped my vehicle off. I called Hertz a couple of weeks ahead to confirm the reservation and was told what to expect. I also called Hertz a couple of days ahead of my reservation to confirm once more and they confirmed as they did previously that I can pick up the rental when promised. On the day of the reservation I dropped my own vehicle at the dealer who was doing the work. I was Ubered to Hertz and when I entered the ramshackled looking space they occupied in the beautiful Marriott hotel on Horsetooth Road I provided the person my name and reservation number. She immediately said "we don't have any vehicles." This hearkened back to a Seinfeld episode about the time he went to get his rental and was told there weren't any cars. He was flabbergasted at the fact that he had a reservation but they didn't hold his reservation. It's a very funny episode. Look it up on YouTube. The woman at Hertz finally, and after my dismay said "okay I have a vehicle for you." I then said "how is it now you suddenly have a vehicle for me?" She answered "I'll give you one that is supposed to be for someone else today." I said "you're going to stiff another person so I get a car and they won't later?" She said "we might get one in before they arrive!" I next spoke about the practices of this business and how they operate to which she said "I'm just here for a paycheck."

We rented a car to be picked up at 4:30 pm. No one was at the Hertz store and no one answered. We had already dropped of our car at the shop and were left stranded. We never received a call telling us they wouldn’t have a car. Disgusting business.

Fat joke! Booked a car online because my car isn’t running and it allowed same day booking…show up and they say they aren’t accepting same day bookings! Could’ve called and saved me the trip. Now I have no vehicle and no way of getting to work.
