I had a fantastic experience with Hampden Auto Body. The team was highly professional, communicating clearly and answering all my questions. Their dedication to getting my car ready on time and following up afterward was impressive. Best of all, the quality of their work was top-notch—my car looks brand new! Highly recommend if you’re looking for excellent service and results.

Brian is a lifesaver! This has been my go-to body shop since I bought my Alfa in 2020, and they consistently deliver amazing work. The staff is incredible, and the customer service is top-notch. They're always there to help when you need them most—I cannot say enough good things about them!

I came in to Hampden Auto Body to have my truck fixed from an accident that was not my fault. I received a bid from Hampden Auto Body and two other shops to get the process started. Hampden Auto Body was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive - great, no problem. The at-fault party's insurance was Fred Loya Insurance. Giancarlo, my rep at Hampden Auto Body, told me they did not work with Fred Loya and I would need to run it through my insurance or pay out of pocket. I told him I had Safeco insurance and asked if they worked with them. He said yes, not a problem. So, I ended up going through my insurance for the claim with subrogation (something I wasnt thrilled about doing) so that Hampten Auto Body would work directly with them. I scheduled an appointment for the truck to be repaired at their next available opening, which was 7 weeks away.
My insurance company, Safeco, wrote a preliminary estimate for half of what Hampden Autobody had preliminarily quoted and explained that this was not final and that Hampden Auto Body would just need to submit supplementals. This is where it started to fall apart. I asked Giancarlo if the estimate from Safeco was what they needed to get started.
At first, he said no it is way too low and that they missed alot of damage on my truck. I then asked for the differences in estimates to be explained to me so that I could go back to Safeco and explain to them. He then responded and said there wasn't anything glaringly different. There are multiple other examples of contradictory information, but I won't bore you with those details.
Mike Ross (the owner) later called me to discuss instead of emailing. He flat out told me I was asking too many questions and that we weren't on the same page, so he wasn't interested in my business. He told me that he had absolutely no interest in fighting the insurance on my behalf and that they would not go to bat for me. I would be liable for anything the insurance company didn't cover and if I didn't like that, we aren't on the same page. He said he had wasted too much time on my questions today and this wasn't going to be a good fit.
So, my advice to you would be to ASK QUESTIONS so that you are 100% clear what they will or wont help you with. This attitude of theirs that the customer comes last isn't going to work for me, and would advise you to proceed with caution. He made it clear that he thought he was going to be doing ME a favor by working on my truck and that my satisfaction was not important - only that they complete the work on the vehicle. He wanted it crystal clear that their only goal was to fix the car.
The problem is, the body shop holds the power with what they choose to do with the supplements, so the body shop HAS to fight for you or else you be stuck picking up the tab for the difference. Its unfortunate they wasted these 7 weeks that I could have been in line for another shop, but glad they refused to help now vs when the truck was in pieces in their shop and I had no options.

This is the worst place to do business, a complete rip off artist!!!!!! I took the my vehicle to Hampden Auto body out of choice, because I have the right to take it where I want, probably the worst decision I have ever made. They took over a month and half to do the work, the insurance company said the work should have been done in 2 weeks, I kept calling to see when the truck would be done and they kept saying they are waiting for parts, little did I know that they are trying to double charge and the insurance company realized that they are double charging and said that they will not pay their bill. Weeks later I paying out of pocket for for the double charges that the insurance won't pay and Mike is telling me I have to pay $2502 to pick up my truck or he will start charging me storage. I should have to just pay my deductible of $500 and be on my way, instead I get a $2502 bill and I have to pay $600 for rental car overage cause they took for ever. Bad business, Mike if he wasn't the owner should be fired for the worst customer service but he can't be fired so everyone should just avoid this company because he is a terrible business man.

Had a great experience with Jean Carlo. Unfortunately my company damaged a customer vehicle and we were referred to Hampden. Jean Carlo was beyond helpful. Ultimately the customer insisted on taking it to their preferred shop where the experience has been pretty bad and the estimate is riddled with almost $1k in nonsense fees. Really wish we could’ve brought it to Hampden but I’ll be sending everyone I can their way.

My Qx80 was involved in a minor accident and needed a bumper and grill replacement and a minor hood repair. We took our vehicle in for an initial estimate with them and a repair date was scheduled a month down the road. We brought our car in at the appointed time. Mike, the owner called me once tear down was complete and estimated 2 weeks for the repair. They also had some warranty work they needed to correct on some prior damage. We were in a rental car through USAA. As time went on, we were told our car was “in production” over and over again. As insurance companies do, they only approve the rental car for the estimated amount of initial repair time (2 weeks). USAA called saying they had not received information from Hampden about a supplement and could not approve the rental without one, we called on conference to Hampden and spoke with Mike. Mike was argumentative stating that the car was in line for repair and there was nothing he could do. That there was no supplement, they were busy and would submit a supplement at the end of the work if there was one. USAA explained that they could not approve a rental for beyond the time allotted without a supplement and round and round they went while I, the customer, was stuck in the middle. Eventually USAA approved the rental for another 2 weeks despite not having any supplemental information. At the end of those 2 weeks (they’ve now had my car for a month) I was again stuck with no car and the end of the rental looming. I called Hampden again and spoke with Brian. He informed me that my car was in line for paint and was not ready. USAA approved the rental extension based on that for a week. Then at the end of the week, here we go again. USAA had reached the end of what they could pay for a rental without supplemental information. We again called on conference to Hampden and spoke with Brian. Not only was Brian not helpful he was rude and obstructive. He proceeded to the tell the adjuster that he wasn’t going to argue repair time with her because she didn’t know what she was talking about and my car was in line for paint. The adjuster responded that she has been in the business for 20 years and she understands how repair shops work. The conversation devolved from there . Needless to say, there was no resolution and the call ended badly. So badly in fact that the adjuster called me back and recommended that I report them to their corporate office, unfortunately, there isn’t one. At this point, my 2-week repair was at 7 weeks and they could no longer justify a rental car. A week went by, now without a rental car and again I called Hampden expecting my car to be finished, after all it was in line for paint a week ago, surely it must be done by now. This time Mike fielded my call. My car still wasn’t done and it was still in line for paint. When I inquired as to why my car sat for a week waiting for paint since I was told the same thing a week ago, Mike explained that they have 60 cars on rotation there. Some of those cars have been sitting for months waiting for parts and when those parts come in they get pushed to the front of the line further delaying my repairs. To his credit Mike did offer to pay for a rental vehicle and did cut us a check at the end. My car ended up taking an additional 2 weeks for a total of 9 weeks! For a drivable, minimal damage repair.Do they do good work, yes. Is it the most frustrating experience you will ever have, also yes. Hampden Auto body is like dropping your car into a black hole. Whatever they tell you for a time estimate is a lie, multiply it by at least 4. Don’t expect them to work with the insurance company paying for your repairs. They blatantly refused to use the USAA online document submission system and refused to send the paperwork to justify extending the rental. Expect Mike and Brian to be condescending, obstructive and thoroughly unhelpful. I cannot recommend them less. There are plenty of good repair shops in Denver that are better organized, customer friendly and courteous.
