While there are a lot of good options for bike + ski shops in Eagle County, it’s the customer service and overall experience and expertise that keeps me coming back to Kind. They service our mountain bikes, skis, and help us out with ski rentals for out of towners. (Hint - if you are renting skis and live / are staying in Edwards, do not rent on the mountain. This is absolutely the way to go.) The team always helps me find the perfect birthday or Christmas gift for my husband too. If you are looking for a place you can trust with knowledgeable mountain bike + ski staff, be sure to put Kind on top of your list.

I cannot recommend Kind Bikes and Skis enough. I decided to get into MTB this year and shop for my first bike, and everybody here has been super helpful. From answering all my questions about bikes, accessories, parts, getting me on demos to see what works for me, and helping me purchase my first bike, the staff here has helped me tremendously over the past few months. They were patient and always made sure I felt comfortable asking anything I needed. Thank you to everybody here for helping me get into the sport and I will definitely be coming back. And special shoutout to Chris, Peter, Taylor, and Max for helping me these past couple months with all my questions, demo rides, and my first bike purchase!

wanted to charge me $40 to adjust my bindings
In response to the owner's response: their competitor down the road in Avon did it for free. I have two pairs of skis (alpine and touring) that I like to get tuned every month or two, including a season-end full tune coming up. That's hundreds of dollars in recurring revenue that I'll be pointing towards the shop that did me a solid for a quick adjustment.

Spring is coming and I want to warn you about using this shop to pack or unpack your beloved bike.
They suck at it! This company, actually their head service person, cracked my carbon frame. It had to be replaced by the bike store in Avon. Please do yourself a favor and head to another shop for Any and All bike work.

$70 for a tune on an 8 year olds pair of skiis is ridiculous. The staff there have always been great, no issues with them but that is some serious price gouging.

Got our family of 4 set up with ski's. Various ages and abilities. Everyone loved the ski's that they set us up with. Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. Tyler was great to work with, outstanding customer service. So glad we did not rent at the mountain, the process was so quick and easy & these were the best skis we've used in years.

DISHONEST company that misrepresents what they do. I brought a cannondale bike to be reassembled after it was shipped from Pennsylvania. They never told me they do not deal with cannondale. The service manager sent me a picture of my bike with the seat post in place notifying me the bike was damaged after someone forced the seat post into the bike frame. The owner Chris Anderson said the bike was likely under a damage warranty. He said the the bike was handled correctly at his shop but there was a defect in the bike frame. Chris's store recommended I take the bike to a store in Avon that deals with cannondale. The cannondale store sent the information in for review to cannondale. The company said there was no warranty defect. When the warranty path did not work Kind bike and skies said the store in Pa damaged the bike in boxing. The bike was shipped without the seat in place. When Chris Anderson, the owner of Kind Bikes and Skies, could not place blame on the other store, this dishonest person blamed me for opening up the box lid. Every angle to not take any responsibility for damage. Chris Anderson and Kind Bike and Skies has taken zero responsibility for irreparable damage to a very expensive bike. Totally, not a trustworthy store. Get your bikes, bike repair and skies at an honorable store. Avon has a great store and closer to the slopes.

Very dishonest company.Did not mention they work predominantly with mountain bikes and electric bikes. When they attempted to put together my carbon road bike, Nick, cracked the frame so it was not repairable. The owner, Chris had me take the bike to a cannondale dealer in Avon that is use to working on road bikes. Kind also said the bike crack was due to a weakness in the frame that would be under warranty. They were wrong! Cannondale said the frame was damaged when the seat post was forced into the frame. The bike was shipped with the seat removed. This company is totally dishonest and not knowledgeable about carbon road bikes. This repair cost me 2000.00. Stay clear of kind bikes and skies!!!!In response to Chris. The concept of google is to voice experiences with a place or product. Our email communication prove Kind bike not willing to accept any responsibility in the irreparable damage of my race bike. Our emails also show I was professional but annoyed. Your service manager refused to keep the bike assembled. He said it was not rideable or safe. . He sent me a picture of my bike that he assembled before he called me. The seat post was in the frame. The seat post was shipped WITHOUT the seat in the frame. When Kind service manager said it was a warranty issue he recommended I take the bike to a cannondale dealer in Avon, since Kind does not deal with cannondale. The final outcome from cannondale was that someone forced the seat post into the frame!. Why would I have to take my bike to another shop if KInd bikes and skies worked with cannondale? So the present situation is I had to spend 2000 to replace a frame that was damaged according to Chris the owner at Kind bikes and skiesBy:1. The bike store that packaged the bike incorrectly2. By the cannondale warranty*** that they denied3. Me opening the box to make sure it was my bike.Kind has no responsibility here even though they assembled the bike????I have emails to confirm all that I have said here.

We are vacationing in Vail. We encountered problems with our Specialized e-bike. We sought help and Bob assisted us and did extensive testing on the bike battery. Even though he could not solve our problem, he offered helpful advice and treated us respectfully. He even started the Warranty process with the Specialized company. Thanks for being so KIND!
