I personally love this store and staff ! Chassie the pit bull mascot of the store does seem to steal the show … however - this store is so full of treasures and I am extremely happy with all my purchases and experiences here ! Great place good people and of course - you cannot go wrong with a beautiful sweet dog to greet everyone.. Thanks guys !

This store is amazing! So interesting and a lot of different things from furniture to pictures, mirrors and even tools. Prices are more than fair for second hand items and Jacob and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Every time I go the inventory changes. And, the sales go to such a great cause! ?

Thankfully the H for H store is Under New Management and the prices are now in a reasonable price range. Jacob and his team are personable, helpful and make you want to drop in on a regular basis to see what's in stock!

I used to frequent this place often when my partner and I first became homeowners. Buy something, maybe donate something in return. However, we eventually stopped going. It's become a running joke between us that it might just be a front for something shadier, given how ridiculously high their prices have become. I mean, a 10-year-old couch priced higher than a brand new one with delivery from Ashley? Same story with chandeliers and refrigerators with missing drawers—it's just laughable. The thing that gets me is that these items are donated. When literally everything in your store is given to you, there's no need to slap on prices higher than the current market value for something new. Wouldn't it make more sense to price things lower and move more inventory? They'd make more money and have more resources available to contribute to building affordable housing....which isnt that the goal?Instead, they seem to prefer price gouging and alienating the local clientele. I wouldn't be surprised if more people would be inclined to donate if they felt their contributions were genuinely making a difference. Personally, we've stopped donating construction items to this place or shopping here because the markup was just too off-putting.

Prices are insanely high on some items and then quite reasonable on other things. it's kind of hit-or-miss. Smaller things seem to be priced well, while furniture, cabinets, and tile is outrageous in my opinion.

Seemed more like a habitat for cats and dogs. Felinanity? Caninanity?

Extremely overpriced. This used to be a great place to get inexpensive used items but since they’ve moved into this new larger building, their prices have become far too high. I used to check there first whenever I needed something now I don’t waste my time. I used to really enjoy going there, the people that were working or volunteering were very friendly and helpful. I’ve actually considered the idea that they have purposely over priced their larger items because they don’t want to deal with moving things.

We found exactly what we were looking for. Price was very good. The young lady and Davin were super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this store for renovations..

Interesting selection however the prices do not match the products. Insanely expensive. the reviews were correct but i wanted to see for myself. Unless the extremely wealthy are furnishing their houses with this stuff I can’t see it selling as the other 99% of people cannot afford to buy anything here. 2 stars cuz they are a non profit.

Fairly priced to moderately expensive for used goods. However, they do donate the proceeds to housing people....

Prices were outrageous!!!!!Very high. New items would have been cheaper. For items that were DONATED made items prices seem ridiculous. Used bookcases $200.00. some 150.00. rugs 200.00. walked in n walked right back out as did another couple we overheard doing the same.

Anything for the pups, oh and the cats too, and everything for animals in La Plata starts here. There are some solid characters here that have decades on the payroll with massive amounts of information and resources and they are always willing to help and answer questions. They have under gone renovations, I haven't seen, however my kiddo gives it a 5 star review as well! The thrift store is by far my absolute favorite in town. They have a great spread, lots of sales and all goes to support those pups! Oh and cats.....Love this placeIt's a place you go to and visit ever now and then and something my little and I have done for over a decade. Petting pets relieves stress!!!
