Don‘t be fooled by the newly decorated lobby because the rooms are very outdated. No safety deposit box in the room. Cleaning lady likes to keep knocking on the door for housekeeping, even I had the „no disturb“ sign hanging on the door. Also, the late check out didn’t work because the cleaning lady would like to clean it before 1 pm. The hallway is stinky throughout the week, probably from the very worn carpet and poor plumbing.
Rooms: Poorly maintained, old carpet, old mattress, not well lit

We had a great stay and would look to stay here again when visiting downtown Denver. The ambiance is spectacular and as a gold-level member of Bonvoy we unexpectedly got lounge access which was a great perk.
My partner left some items in the room and we didn’t realize until we left. Andrew Moreno, guest service supervisor, worked with us to get them shipped back. We asked for some extra care in packaging and he went above and beyond which ensured we got everything back in perfect condition. Thank you Andrew!

Renaissance Denver Downtown is one of my favorite hotels in Denver. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, the interior and ambiance are outstanding. The management pays special attention to detail, and takes great care of Bonvoy elite guests. They have one of the more unique clubs in Denver, overlooking the entire lobby, which used to be a bank. Original interior and paintings, vaults, etc. Stay here, you’ll love it!

Rooms small but adequate. Staff friendly in general, with some attitude from desk clerks, location superb!
Nearby activities: Located in the heart of downtown, walkable to most things, easy access towards anything else.

Needed a place to stay in Denver for 1 night and this was one that seemed to have decent reviews and was said to be in a safe place.
Pros:
- was one of the cheaper options we could find ($150 for the night we stayed)
- Close to food options (We got Raising Cane's)
- Close to attractions (We were staying to drive over to Meow Wolf in the morning)
- The inside looks beautiful and the bar/restaurant was busy the entire time we were staying, so people seem to like it.
- Good water pressure.
- Sinks drain well.
- Slept well. Comfy bed.
Cons:
- check in took 15-30 minutes
- Parking is an extra charge ($30 for 24 hrs) and it's really the only parking option, so you have to take it.
- Breakfast is an extra charge ($30/person). We did not get breakfast added on.
- Only 1 coffee pod and 2 creamers in the room. Usually they give at least 2 knowing that is usually how many people stay in a 1 bed room.
- There was hair in our shower when we arrived to the room.
- None of our garbage cans or ice bucket had bags in them.
- None of the USB plugs in our room were functional
- The plugs on the desk were not secured. When I pulled out my charger the whole unit came up. There were no screws in it.
- Made concerns noted to the front desk when I was checking out and just got told "I'll let our maintenance know", and it seemed brushed off. Not even an acknowledgement about the lack of cleanliness of the room (and we've stayed in cleaner Days Inn within the past week, that we paid far less for).
Rooms: Poor cleaning. Need maintenance work.
Comfy beds. Good shower pressure / temp. Sinks drain well.
Nearby activities: Everything. It's Denver. We drove to Meow Wolf in the morning.
Safety: Safe.
Food and drinks: Bar and restaurant inside hotel. Breakfast is $30/person extra. Nearby fast food and restaurants!

Everyone was so hospitable! From beginning to end, the entire staff was so helpful, pleasant, and kind! The valet guys (Reuben, James, and Erik) were especially helpful. Overall excellent service from every single staff member. 10/10. Will stay here again and recommend everyone stay here at least once.

Normally, I would give 5 stars for this property as I have stayed here many times, but little things seem to be ignored. The sheets and blankets were worn and old. The bathroom had mold in the shower, and the toilet paper was thin enough to see through. Service and friendliness was still very much 5 stars.

Hass at the front desk was exceptional and very welcoming. He went above and beyond with his customer service and warmth. Our interaction with him alone would make me stay here again. Location of hotel was also very central to downtown bars and restaurants. Rooms were on the smaller size but clean with extra towels already in the room! Highly recommend for a night or two in downtown Denver!

I've called their billing department 3x with voicemails, the accounting manager 2x with voicemails and their front desk 3x talking with a live operator trying to get a copy of my bill for a stay in July. Billing/accounting have never returned my calls or sent me the receipt. Front desk has agreed to send the form but claim it will take a few days to come through but never does. I've spoken with them the 2nd and third time that it did not come through but they still cannot remedy the issue.

We enjoyed our stay from Friday to Monday. Beautiful lobby. Room service is pretty limited. The rooms are okay, nothing spectacular. Beds are not the most comfortable to sleep in. I was looking forward to the sleep I was gonna get and barely got any. Housekeeping didn't vacuum the room the entire time we were there, and as we were packing up Monday to leave, there was what Google lens said was a carpet beetle on our bed. Ewe! Housekeepers never replaced our washcloths everyday they would leave one, but the room started out with three, i believe, so i was really confused about that. Had to keep calling down for them. Better beds and better housekeeping would definitely be an improvement. Loved that they had strawberry lemonade downstairs and water that was great after walking all day. Definitely good location for walking to everything downtown. 15-minute walk from Union Station, which we took the train from Denver Airport in and then walked up to the hotel. Overall, it was a good experience!
Rooms: Meh
Nearby activities: Lots to do!
Walkability: 100%

The hotel itself is stunning. It was a bank at one time and the original building features make for a beautiful open lobby with convenient restaurant and bar included. Room was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast and snacks were an added plus! All this to say, the outstanding service was certainly the best part of our stay. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and eager to help, however Hass provided exceptional service well beyond our expectations. We needed to extend our stay and even though our preferred room type was fully booked, Hass went out of his way to make it work for us so we didn't have to switch rooms and be inconvenienced. He even gifted us a complimentary $10 to the hotel restaurant. Talk about going above and beyond! Thank you for the wonderful guest experience, Hass! Next time we are in Denver, we will be back.
