“Harbor Freight tends to get a bad rap when it comes to brand name tool snobs. I get it. I really do. There are many well established brands that are really great companies who build consistently well performing tools.However, to just use that outlook to diminish where Harbor Freight shines is just silly.For me, I really appreciate the savings in project tools that are going be used here and there. Case in point, belt sanders, air compressors/accessories (Fortress is, really, a great compressor brand), pneumatic tools, like brad guns, and a myriad of hand tools. Clamps are, hands down, a fantastic value, you can buy 3-5 clamps for woodworking to one at almost any box store.I use harbor freight when I need a simple, but effective, tool that won't break the bank. Or when I need to pick up any air compressor fittings or hoses.I think harbor freight is one of the most consistently value orientated stores for weekend project workers, hobbyists, and home repair projects. Their tools have come a long way over time, and their "good, better, best" quality range is a very good move.I do not hesitate to recommend them when appropriate for someone's work needs.For me, the savings on clamps, saw horses, hobby files, belt sanders, compressor accessories, and so many other day to day things should never be underestimated.Though there is a ceiling on professional grade tools. For those, I do continue to use more commonly respected tool brands.Harbor Freight can save you hundreds of dollars, they are a great resource, when used within reasonable expectations. For very specific one off protects, HF has saved the day for me dozens of times.”

“I have always had really good service at Ferguson plumbing but this past week there were two instances where I received exceptional service. The first was last Saturday where one of their employees Tony(who was extremely busy)took the time and ask me questions about the job I was working on and made sure I had all the parts to finish the job. The second instance was when I showed up after Ferguson plumbing had closed for the day and the manager Jeremy who is getting ready to leave got back out of his truck and asked me what I needed. I told him I just needed a few fittings to finish a small plumbing job that I was working on and to my surprise he open the store back up and got me the parts I needed. I have nothing against any of the other supply houses in town but Ferguson plumbings staff sets them apart and that’s why their the first place I go when I start a project.”
