I’m a previous stone fabricator. Ed reached out for help to finish the displays his previous fabricator started and grabbed the slabs donated to Designer kitchens and ran. We provided free material from suppliers and took a loss doing fabrication and installation cheaper than our cost as Ed promised a long lasting working relationship and many clients to come. Well that didn’t last long, soon after he went back to his previous fabricator to save penny’s and maximize his commission on projects. Ed’s dishonesty is one topic but the last drop was when Ed Refuses to pay an invoice he owed us for using our estimating software. Per agreement they bid jobs with our name and software and pay for software cost out of their commission they addd to every job. Buyers be aware, if you are shopping for countertops through Designer Kitchens in CO springs, you are paying minimum $1200 hidden commission in bulk price to designer kitchens through the fabricator. Go to any fabricator directly and save yourself thousands. The illusion that you’re purchasing directly is false and fills their pockets with insane commissions. Save your self’s thousands and trouble because the reason they make customers feel they are dealing direct is so they are not liable for anything, in that case their commission/refferal fee is outrages.

I worked with Krissy at Designer Kitchens and she did a top-notch job on our project. We had a lot of questions and had to make some changes during the project. Krissy was patient, thorough, and gave us excellent design advice. We are so very happy with the way our project turned out. Shout out with 5 stars to Krissy and Designer Kitchens!

Krissy was great to work with! Our story had a lot of twists and turns, but the short story is...we were all set to remodel our kitchen in fall 2022 but unfortunately I received a cancer diagnosis and had to cancel everything. A year later, when we celebrated remission, we called up Krissy to see if she still had our plans to remodel the kitchen; she did. We had to trim our design a bit, but Krissy was very patient and helped us pick out exactly what suited our desire. She came out to the house and verified everything we wanted done. Our kitchen turned out beautifully! We no longer have those horrible tile countertops and we went from the 90's drab tan to modern blue with grey tones and gorgeous warm birch cabinets! We put in roller drawers for the pantry which is so nice - I can reach everything in the cabinet now. We also extended our island so we have a nice gathering spot and wonderful for potlucks... Even after the kitchen was done, Krissy came to inspect everything and noticed the doors of the cabinets were warping a little and immediately put in replacement order. Thank you, Krissy for all your help and patience!

We had a major kitchen/dining/living room remodel done with Designer Kitchens and couldn't be more pleased. We loved working with Krissy. She listened to our initial ideas, added in her experience and ideas and designed a beautiful space with some really unique features. She was helpful in selecting flooring, cabinetry, lighting, etc and made the whole process easy. We would definitely recommend Designer Kitchens!

We had an awesome experience with Krissy at Designer Kitchens. I told her the style I was aiming for and that it wasn't going to be traditional. She delivered exactly what I wanted and was very professional. She was always accessible and was transparent with any issues that came about. Everything arrived as stated and was better than anticipated once installed. She really went out of her way to make sure that everything was in budget and to our satisfaction. Call them. Just do it. Krissy and the whole team are absolutely wonderful. She took the timeto sit with me and work within my budget on my kitchen. She listened to my ideas and my wish list and worked with me to make it all happen. The contractors they work with are awesome - it was a great match and they were able to do additional projects I wanted done.I was dreading this whole process- a lot of places were not helpful or friendly and I was beginning to get discouraged. I met one of the owners in Bible study so my guard was down when I was quoted a $500 design fee. I was told by two contractors and friends who'd remodeled recently this was an outrageously high design fee, but I was trusting because of the way we met- this $500 was to include coming to my home, discussing what I wanted, measuring and drafting the design then giving me the design; if I chose to use their services that $500 would apply towards the order of cabinets. I inquired several times if the design was ready but Ed was on a hunting trip. The day he returned from the hunting trip he did the design very fast and I was told to come down that it was prepared (end of day-5:00. When I arrived he showed me his design but in haste he had placed the refrigerator where it currently was versus where I wanted it (across the room) as we had very clearly discussed in our only meeting at the property. He then went back to his computer to reconfigure that and move the refrigerator where it was supposed to be. I waited in his show room he then came to me in the waiting area and told me to write down my email address that he would email me the design and the fee was 10% of his quote so: $871. Not the $500 I was quoted-- in order to get the drawing he demanded an $871 check immediately and that it would apply to my order. I should not have trusted him right at that moment but my dad had just died and this was his home I was remodeling and I met his wife through church... I later found out they do not attend my church and I've learned from many advisers since, that the normal fee is $150 or less for this service-- the company I ended up going with does not charge a design fee, it's part of their services and their custom kitchen order came in $2000 less and a two week turnaround versus the 6 to 12 week turnaround I was quoted. I wrote to Ed perfectly willing to leave the $500 on the table as I had agreed to their design fee but requested a return of the over charge of $371. Ed wrote back to me that he refused to return the $371 and was still trying to talk me into his lowest end cabinets which again came in $2000 more than the custom cabinets we've already ordered and would have taken over a month longer to ship. There are several layers to this but I would recommend anyone considering this company to be very wise and shop around there are lots of options and they all have the same computer program to design a kitchen very fast, as I sat in front of the company we chose, they did it in 15 minutes on their computer program charged me zero and I'm getting the cabinets in two weeks. We used Krissy for our kitchen design and she was wonderful. She helped us design our kitchen from scratch, which included knocking multiple walls down, installing floors, cabinets, countertops, new appliances, amongst other things. Krissy was always responsive, helped us troubleshoot things, and always had good ideas. Very unprofessional business. They sent a installation crew that did not know what they were doing ... Owner refuse to correct it . We had to remove ever cabinet and had to pay double to another company to reinstall every cabinet. Some were damaged from the installation from the crew that the sent to us . The designer we worked with ( Dick) became very rude to us after we paid for cabinets and did not make anything right and he was the one who sent these guys to instal, the cabinets . They installed cabinets upside down and devider wall backwards . Dick and the owner refused to make right what they where responsible for. I went to business to talk to owner and he hid in his office and refused to talk to me ...Use these people at you own risk ... Civil action against them is my only recourse ...
