Only a couple issues here. Lately there is only 1 cashier on duty with a line 4-6 customers deep. The advertisement show sales on items, and there are no sale items in stock.
Those issues aside, convenient and comfortable shopping environment. Very high quality produce, most days. Most staff members are long time employees and are knowledgeable and courteous. Only place I'm confident shopping.

Never in my life have I seen such a pharmacist that couldn't count nor dos he care to. Was shorted on controlled meds last month outta the bv store I've used for years. Went there bc four days short on meds and dr sent full script . Broke my neck, at c5 94% years ago. Three surgeries and this guy wants to tell me it's the government. Do not go here for help with medication. I follow every rule there is. Buena pharmacist Amanda could not believe how he treated me. City market needs to do something about this guy. He dangerous to their company.

Always has an excuse for why your prescription is never ready. Even when you have ordered it 3 days ahead. They are rude and never use to be that way

This is absolutely a amazing store Here in Canyon City Co. People are very nice and great you with a smile It's a wonderful place to shop and prices are very reasonable And over in the deli they have the best tasting chicken meals for on the go And if you are here visiting Canon City Colorado. Don't forget to stop by and check out. The store. OK everyone have a great weekend And many blessings to all..Oh and PS the store is pet friendly

Always a long line and never enough people working. When you do make it to the counter the young gals has been incredibly rude the last two times we went in. We plan to transfer our scripts to Palace where we should have gone in the first place.

This is hands down the worst City Market I have ever shopped. The aisles are too narrow, and selection is sparse. The store is just old and dirty, and the parking lot is like a demolition derby. Canon City needs a serious upgrade/new store. The pits! This isn't a one-off ratings anomaly as none of my neighbors' care to shop here either. They much prefer to shop in Pueblo or even Colorado Springs.

Me and my girlfriend came in there today to buy some New York strip steaks and we went to the butcher block and like what we saw so we got some we asked the guy for five steaks cuz we're having five people for dinner including myself and thought everybody would want to have a steak. We got home it turns out he only gave us four. This is very irritating because we live an hour and a half from the store so that's a 3-hour round trip to have to go back to the store because the guy can't count.

The Canon City Co store supports a convicted child rapist. The advertisement on the grocery carts are for a man, Rory Huskin who is convicted of raping a 14/15 girl when he was in his forties. This is beyond disgusting, taking money from a convicted child rapist.

Tuesday I had a prescription transferred from Walmart called on Thursday morning they said it wasn't ready it would be ready by 6:00 that night went in Friday morning 10:00 wasn't even transferred from Walmart yet. Last 6 months I haven't even been getting texts for my prescriptions they said I had to sign something so when I was in there Friday I signed something here it is Sunday no text to say that my prescription is ready. Finally called them they said oh it was ready Friday well why the hell are you not sending me a text then.

I had heard a rumor that they had a rodent infestation and upon a recent visit I confirmed it. I was in store buying some staples such as milk, bread, and water. Upon checkout the cashier inspected my soft packaged items as they scanned them and when they got to the loaf of bread I was purchasing they hurriedly pulled it out of sight stating "there was a hole in the bag" but I was able to see said hole before they whisked it away and it was very obviously a hole chewed in the bag by some sort of rodent. The way the cashier and bagger handled the event led me further to believe that rather than a one time thing this has been an ongoing problem that instead of being dealt with properly has escalated to the point of the employees being trained to hide it.

I had tried on multiple occasions to have the monthly automatic refill and every month I was disappointed to find I had to call in the prescription or wait an extra week because they didn’t have the medication. Small businesses are the way to go, switched to Palace Drug and I’ll never go back.
