DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! I've been debating to make this review for years and I regret not making it sooner. I brought in my vehicle for a complete engine rebuild. Spoke to the manager and his main mechanic and was told the build will be done in 2 weeks time. After 2 weeks I placed a call and was told that it would be done with in the next couple of days. I said ok and continued on with my life. I placed multiple calls and text through out the day and rarely recieved a pick up or response. When they were able to talk they extended the completion date to 2 more days. This went on for 2.5 months almost 3. When I received my vehicle it was in a horrible condition. Scratches and damage everywhere with the car barely running correctly. The main mechanic who worked on the vehicle did not know what he was doing. I paid the car bill of repair in full and took the car home. Manager said if I had and questions or issues to give him a call. Barely 24hrs in and the engine was knocking then never starting ever again. Called and placed multiple text and never recieved a call back. I was desperate and called a mobile mechanic in my area and he looked over the car. He pointed multiple issues. 1) the wrong engine was swapped in. 2) valve lashes were not in specifications. 3) unplugged sensors and broken sensors that were not told to me by manager or mechanic . I placed a complaint with BBB and BAR trying to get my money back but never heard anything. I dont know if this place is still open but DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS.

SCAM ALERT: Bought a "rebuilt" H22A4 engine from them in December 2017. When my mechanic received it he said it was put together incorrectly, as well as parts *missing*. I did not feel confident at that point so I sent it back. Since that happened, Honda Auto Center has cut off all communications with me. They marked my email as spam on their server, they've blocked my phone number and will not return any communications. My mechanic is now being stuck with the return shipping bill even though HAC assured me they would pay for return ship. They wouldn't refund my money ($1,700) for the engine purchase and I had to go to my bank and dispute the charges. Thankfully that worked but am still being stiffed $500 for shipping to and back from my mechanic. These guys are absolute scumballs and the other reviews will verify this. I'd call them professional scam artists but using the word "professional" anything with Honda Auto Center doesn't sit well with me. Avoid doing business with them.

The simple truth is that I would never recommend this place, terrible service, they don't return your calls, they take you as if you didn't exist, I personally wouldn't recommend them to anyone for any kind of service.

We received a "rebuilt motor" from Honda Auto Center in Wilmington, CA. It was installed by an experienced, licensed mechanic who expressed concerns with the unit. It arrived with no paperwork, packing list, or certifications, etc. After installation the engine lost compression and shut down within 5 miles during the test drive. Our mechanic conducted additional tests and concluded the engine was defective and questioned whether it had, infact, been "rebuilt" or just cleaned up and repackaged. The Honda Auto Center has refused to refund our money but claim they will ship another rebuilt motor once their mechanic evaluates the returned unit -which they received 2 weeks ago. We hope for a mutually satisfactory outcome to this mess but the jury is still out......We will post updates as they slowly occur.
6/23 still have not received replacement motor. When someone finally answered phone last Monday we were told the replacement motor would ship as soon as we sent another $75 for 1/2 shipping costs....reluctantly we sent the $ through Paypal....still no confirmation that motor has shipped and nobody answers phone. We have left numerous, unreturned voicemails. We would appreciate assistance from the owner of this auto center to resolve this matter. The name in your file is Aaron Tressler.

This is the worst shop ever! My car has been in and out of this shop because it has warranty on its motor. Every time they call there is always something new and wrong with my car, always with something new to charge me with $$$..And every time they supposedly replace or repair a part they do not show you your old parts, and yes this will be reported to the automotive bureau.

A person I know of how to receive the motor from these people they installed the motor and stated it was a k20a2 but in reality the block was stated K20 Z1 they did not even try to help the individual who had them install the motor. Even though that two days later after getting a built complete motor and installation they would not help him $4,500 well spent aha
