This is one of two Sears left in California. My wife and I visited it a few months ago with the idea of visiting a Sears before there were none. I thought the visit was fun and sad. There was enough lying around to remind you of what a Sears used to look like, but it was also on the dystopian side with merchandise spread out to try give the store a more normal appearance, but it just made it look weird to me. The bathrooms were closed, The third floor was closed and some of the escalators didn't work. The appliance section seemed to have been stocked at a normal level. One brand that they didn't carry was Kenmore. That was sort of interesting. My wife and I bought souvenirs. I bought a small Craftsman screwdriver set for about $10 and my wife bought a tee shirt with an old Sears and Roebuck logo for about $8. Those were about the only good deals I noticed, I thought most things were priced high enough that they wouldn't be sold until a final closing sale. I gave it three stars, but the rating doesn't matter. If you are up for a walk down memory lane then go for it. Otherwise unless you have something specific in mind this may not be the place.

Walked in a group for a friend to use the restroom. Waited for friend and even offered security guards cupcakes. They denied and we were respectful. After they left we just looked around and as we were going downstairs a lady came out and ordered us to leave. Seriously, we were the only customers in there and we were kicked out. No reason but they wanted us out. Such a shame seeing a place go downhill so fast

We recently purchased a new washing machine from Sears at Whittwood Mall in Whittier. They delivered and installed the washing machine last Friday. Finally we're going to be able to wash clothes again..... WRONG!!! We didn't discover until after the installer left they damaged the dryer's vent now making our dryer unusable. We called Sears within 1 hour after they installed thinking this would be fixed right away...., WRONG AGAIN!!!! Sears need to open a repair request and we would need to wait 72 hours. 72 hours passed. We received a phone message from Lupe from RXL requesting is to call her back at 657-212-293. WHAT??? The phone number is incomplete. I called Sears Customer Service for help.... they could NOT HELP AT ALL!!!!! Not even helping to find the correct phone for Lupe. We are DONE!!!! Returning the washing machine tomorrow and buying another one from a customer friendly company like Pacific Sales. Also taking Sears to small claims court for the repairs we need.

The elevator broke down, no Christmas decorations available. It looked abandoned I'm that store. I have never seen Sears like this. The guy said, "we don't have Christmas decorations here." The clothes looked like something I could get at the Dollar Store. I got out of there quick!

Good store. Lots of low prices on apperal and tools. Consider supporting this store. Make a pledge to come in every few months and help keep the store alive.

I stopped shopping Sears when Craftsman tools were being made in china It became crapsman tools to me and not employing Americans to make products Very upsetting I have a few overalls that have Sears and Roebuck in the buckle buttons (That by the way are made of copper buttons) They are American made overalls with the Textile Workers Union label on them

As long as this store exists, I'll drop in and try to shop there. It's been difficult lately because there's very limited inventory. It almost looks like it's closed, but it's not. This store has been around for hundreds of years, and it's sad to see it go. Soon, there will be no place to shop because everyone orders their stuff from Amazon. Then complain about porch pirates taking their stuff.

One of the eleven remaining Sears locations up for grabs on the Transformco Properties site. I think sometimes they have to keep a retail operation going as long as they have the lease. Employees are well dressed and well groomed.
