Best deals around, worth shopping here before other stores.

A couple of years ago Grocery Outlet used to be a bargain. Now they are over inflating prices, for example charging $12 for a product that costs $10 at Costco, there are many more examples like that. It doesn't make sense. I use to visit weekly, NOT ANYMORE!

This is one of the greatest stores to shop at. The people are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The place is always clean without smells.I save a lot of money every time I shop here.I buy my old stand-bys and get to try new products because of the low pricing. It's fun to try new things. I can enjoy a pork or beef roast periodically because they carry the smaller sizes. If I really like a product, and haven't seen it for a while, they will make an effort to get it for me.Did I mention that they have great customer service?I also buy good quality kitchen, bath and laundry items. They recently introduced "Abe's" vegan bakery goods. Now I'm not vegan nor vegetarian, but like I've stated, I can try different things because of their low pricing. I absolutely love Abe's cranberry orange mini-muffins.Lastly, the employees actually act like they enjoy working there.I thank you all at my Grocery Outlet on Whittier Blvd near Painter Ave.Oh. You can't get a loaf of fresh bread anywhere cheaper.

Best grocer in uptown if you need to save cash. Excellent beer/wine selection as well.

Some people get offended when the cashier doesn't bag your stuff. You have to keep in mind it's a bargain store you're purchasing things at a huge discount, some items are great finds and some are just ok but you're paying less for top notch products. The employees aren't paid what they pay at Trader Joe's however the staff at this location is incredibly friendly and helpful. Just the wine alone is enough to keep me coming back. I found some gems that would normally cost over 50 60 dollars for less than 10 bucks. The owner is very hands on, and is in the grind with his employees. I literally shop here almost every day. I love to cook and host dinner parties. I've had some lavish dinners and cocktail parties with nothing but products from this store. I just gifted a 7 qt instant pot I bought around Christmas for $35, those things are normally in the 100s. If you have an imagination this could be your go to for all things store.

The variety of products, food, fruits, and vegetables is different from the grocery store I usually shop at.The pricing on most items are not bad at all.

Usually like coming here for the deals on meat and some of the produce. Knocked off a few stars for some of the produce being horrible and also a cashier Jessica R. Super unfriendly. Opened up a register because she saw it was busy and instead of taking the person in front of me who had been waiting forever she took the person who JUST got in line. It was my turn to be rung up a few minutes later and she didn't say hi or anything.

This store location, PAINTER & WHITTIER BLVD. is full of "soon to expire" food items. I understand it's an "OUTLET"; but I know there must be regulation standards for the sale of "expiring" human food. Major food retailers are full of processed foods with long shelf life; yet, limit how close items get to their expiration date; than they markdown significantly. We don't need an entire store of nearly expired foods and products that aren't so cheap. Aren't G-Outlets a chain of franchised markets? Owned & operated by someone within the local community? I hope this store owner has a change of heart; by improving the quality of food items sold in this store; to be determined by reasonable expiration dates. Remember BIG LOTS is on the same property and they have ALL nearly or already expired foods and they also don't accept manufacturers coupons. Another thing: I don't appreciate being over charged $1 for bagged apples. While I was still in the parking lot I happened to notice. I called into the store to confirm the correct price. I was asked to bring the apples back in ( 2 bags) for refund. I carried 1 bag back in. I took a spot in line of 4-5 customers. I wanted to speak to the person on the phone but 2 staff people couldn't figure that out. The manager approached taking my receipt only to try to put it at the register ahead of me getting there, which was no help to me. I told her, I can hold my own receipt; she handed it back. I was refunded $2. The next day, I returned for more apples and the price had not been updated. I told cashier the price and supervisor standing nearby reluctantly adjusted the price. A few weeks ago, dog food was neatly stacked but mislabeled with a price of $1.99; I brought it to their attention and management would NOT sell 1 to me at that wrong discounted price but instead offered to sell it to me for $5. I bought 2 at $5. I should've been entitled to at least 1 at $1.99.

I called a manager at the store today because I had my bags for groceries, but the cashier never asked to help pack or pack at all, just stood there. No one was in line waiting. I said to him "Oh wow, you guys really don't even pack anymore" he responded "we're not supposed to." The manager confirmed, they don't help pack groceries for their customers. What the hell!!??? So just stand there and do nothing, just watch your customers pack for themselves. Really!!?? Trader Joes would never do this.

Generally enjoy trips to this store. However they can't seem to keep consistent hours. It's been more than a few times I've shown up to be told they are closed or about to close. That aside, generally a good place to go when I don't know exactly what I want and the folks there are friendly.

I repeat do not come here thinking that the store is open until 10 pm .. the store representative said the store closes at 9 pm. 9 p.m. does not reflect the time on Google. On Google it says this store closes at 10 p.m. but that is completely wrong. I'm completely upset about one needs to change the Google time I spent over 30 driving to this location. You owe me $15. I'm going to Vons from now on they open till midnight.

Love this store, everyone is so great! I haven’t lived here long, but I work by this store and go quite often, everyone is so nice, today while checking out it was nice to see the cashier remember the customers name before me. Even the customer, Mark, said that the cashier, Jeremy is always great with amazing customer service, and I believe it because everybody is always super friendly and helpful there.
