Another "I wish I could give zero stars" review. This bank is awful! They treat you like criminals if anything goes wrong. My bed-ridden mother was gifting me money to help purchase a house and they acted like we were stealing her own money. There is no option for online money orders, like most other banks, so we wrote a check. They flagged it and gave my mother a call, the ONE call was missed and they locked down her account and required my bed-ridden mother to "step into a branch" and gave no other option. They are currently holding her money hostage. My mom also gets confused when calling because of all the prompts and has me conduct a three way call to help her. The branch manager Sylvia told her that we could not do that. What gives them the right to dictate how my disabled mother operates in the world. I will be filing a ADA complaint against this bank and, if possible, Sylvia.

No customer service. It seems the employees don't care about their jobs or the clients. They have truncated hours, do not answer the phone. On and on and on. Just a bad banking experience overall.

The bank should have more convenient hours. Instead of closing at 4:00 p.m. it should be open till 5:00 p.m. as it used to. Additionally, on Fridays which is a banking day for many people it's inconceivable that it's not open till 6:00 p.m. like many other banks. No wonder so many are closing!

Don't bank here. My brother passed away 4 months ago and the bank locked his account. They are rude, mean, and don't care that we need acess to the account to pay bills, for brother's memorial , etc. We took care of our brother for 4 months on hospice and the banc doenst care that we have to cover all his medical expenses. We have a living trust, and they won't accept it. They are requiring us to go to court. This is gonna take months. Don't bank here. They are heartless. Getting family together to go picket starting in 2 weeks. please join us in sending a clear meesage that they are an awfuk bank. we will be going there next week with family and friends - spreading the word that this is an awful financial institution. Our brother died in January and they are foing to hikd his money hostage for another 6 months to a year while we have to pay thousands in court fees. Don't Bank Here! They will keep your money after you die. We will be picketing first week of june, please join us. Send me an message for details.

Horrible hours. How is a person who works full time supposed to do any banking when the hours of the bank are the hours that most people are at work.Branches aren’t even open on the weekends to compensate.Changing banks soon.

I have been a customer at this branch for 25 years...like two mergers ago! I have never been happy but today was the last straw! I went in to deposit a business check. It was a reimbursement check from my employer, a well known nonprofit in Whittier. It is drawn on another bank about two blocks away. They said there would be a 7 day hold, which seemed excessive for a bank in town, but OK no problem. But then they started asking a bunch of irrelevant questions like where did I get the check and what was it a reimbursement for. It felt like they were suspicious I was a criminal. They did not want to accept it as a deposit. So I retrieved the check, and deposited it to a different bank. The next time I step into this building will be to close my account.

This bank has always sucked even before the pandemic. They don't deserve any stars. They are always closed and the service is horrible. Do not go here, just don't.

This bank must implement a protocol for our seniors who are considered at high risk of Covid 19. Two days in a row a coworker have seen elders stand in line under the sun, tired waiting for their turn... Please management have consideration for them! Other banks have special accommodations for them why can't you?

This place is terrible. Took two hours to close an account. Can close an account at wells fargo in 20 minutes, but you know, darn computers! Didn't actually want to close it when we came in but they actually encouraged us to close it. Imagine a bank that doesnt want your business and encourages you to bank elsewhere! I will do them that solid and advise friends, family, and anyone within earshot to avoid this bank.

I had a very bad experience at this bank. I was discriminated by an employee at this bank. I had a check from banc of california with my name on it and the young lady at the window refused to cash it for me. This was the first in my life time that a bank employee refused to cash a check for me. The check was from their bank and I showed her my California id. I asked what was the reason she couldn't cash it for me and she said she couldn't tell me the reason but she had to follow certain procedures. I was never in my life treated like this by any bank employee in my life. Whenever I had to cash a check that belonged to a certain bank and I went to that bank to cash it I never had a problem they always helped me. After I left less than an hour later I went to a check cashing place and the lady called to verify the check and cashed it for me. I don't find a reason why the young lady at banc of California couldn't cash it for me I don't know why she decided to discriminated me. I don't know the employees name but this happened Tuesday June 16 2020 around 10:20 in the morning there was only a young man and a young lady the young lady was the one I had the bad experience with. I felt very bad because of the way I was treated.

The employees here are super rude and act unhappy when you give them your money to deposit. Despite the somewhat convenient location, I switched banks because this is the worst customer service ever! If you have to go here at all costs, avoid the rude blonde lady! She is at the counters who deals with savings and checkings and she is the rudest person I've ever met. AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS.
