This place is a total SCAM! Beware. You need to be warned and take this very seriously. The Google reviews say it all. The people who work here are working together to scam you. They let you try out products and, while you aren't paying attention, they purposely add more product (lbs) than what you want in the bags. For example, you try out a product and you want 1 lb of it, they place the bag on top of the bin and the next sales person gear you away to another product. The associate bags the product and adds 5-6 lbs behind your back and not the 1 lb you wanted. When you check out, you'll realize that they swindled you and make you pay for the product weighed. There's no putting stuff back as it's bagged already per their policy. During checkout, the group of 5-6 people working there all gathered together and made everything very confusing and it felt like a marketplace. You don't know how or what they're weighing or what's counted as it was just so fast. I was out $450+ when I intended to spend about $150. Buyers beware! Don't shop here. Also, they did not provide me a detailed receipt of the purchase, just my charged card receipt.

1 star for the initial experience. 1 more star for the course correction after the initial experience.READ BEFORE YOU VISIT THIS CHAIN:Initially, we made it very clear that we wanted 1lb of each respective item. The salesperson eyeballs everything and only when it comes to the “free” gift they give you after 5lb or 10lb purchase, they’ll eyeball it correctly. After each bag turned out to be closer to 1.8-2 lbs, we checked out at a shocking $470. The checkout process is very quick so they know what they’re doing in not allowing you to check or double check the weight you told them. And after checking out and walking out the store, we went online to check the reviews and weren’t the only ones that feel victim to this shady business practice.We went in to ask either 1) They give us the correct weight and refund us the difference or 2) Refund us for the whole purchase. They were happy to comply with the first option. And we were able to get the first order fully refunded and purchased the correct initial amount in weight we asked for, which turn out to be $170, a difference of $300!This experience left a poor taste in regards to Vua Kho Bo. And although their products are good quality and taste good. I don’t know if it’s worth the hassle of dealing with poor business etiquette. Be aware when doing business with Vua Kho Bo, check, double check, and triple check as you checkout.

My family and I make it a must to stop by this particular Vua Kho Bo whenever we are in the area. Located on the first floor of Phuoc Loc Tho [Asian Garden Mall] in Westminster, this shop offers an array of sweet & savory snacks from Vietnam. Here you can find fruit flavored hard candies, jerkies of all kinds, pickled and dry fruits, and herbal teas. I've typically had good visits here, hence our constant return for purchases. The last experience left me feeling a certain type of way. I'm not sure if the ladies here are paid on commission/amounts of $$ sold but the sales tactics provided by my sales associate was absolutely SHADY. I entered and was immediately assisted by a lady who was super patient, kind, and friendly. Prior to making any commitments, I let her know I would be calling my family to verify what items in specifics that they wanted. She was kind enough to let me know the reception where they are located is super bad and advised for me to actually walk OUTSIDE of the mall. I come back in, ready to buy, and the initial sales associate is now busy with another patron. A random woman steps in and offers me assistance. I let her know I needed to purchase some spicy crispy beef jerky & spicy pickled gooseberries. Crispy jerky is already pre packaged [either small or large] and I told her I only wanted HALF a pound of the gooseberries. The lady proceeds to scoop a full amount of the scooper and I questioned her saying that looked like a whole lot. She smiles and takes out half of what she threw in, ensuring me that the weight is pretty much what I asked for.I'm directed over to a gentleman who was manning the registers. The weight on the gooseberries was well over a pound!! So this lady totally tried to pawn off 2+ lbs initially but thanks to my comment, she removed some!!! We ended up buying it anyhow but this is a warning for paying patrons to be away of the potential shadiness we experienced. 2 stars and I'm not even sure they deserved that.... Meh.
